Great videos. Thanks for producing these. I am a tech as well and so many times mechanics in UA-cam skip all the bullshit they encounter during an install.
Wow, That looked like a pain! The sparks you were getting are from the Auxiliary battery for the start-stop system. It's a smell battery right near the regular battery. On these vehicles, if you hear a click I wouldn't replace the starter because the solenoid and the main battery cable going to the starter have a separate fuse.
So Chrysler decided to have a start stop system that will wear out the starter more often then they decide to make the starter difficult to change??? That's just genius chrysler!

So I took my 2017 to shop 3 starters later it last for 2 or 3 starts then nothing. So they recommend me take it to the dealer now. Tht it’s probably a security issue so I don’t kno we’ll see
@@barebabydid you figure out the issue? I replaced main battery and tested the Aux battery, also changed the starter. Still no crank no start. Relays seem to be ok. All I get is one click. Very aggravating.
Several low-voltage codes on several modules so I rechecked the battery and replaced it. Problem solved it did not need a starter. The battery was the entire problem so we have to be careful out here.
Dude you the man. I was doing one with van in the air so I know you caught hell. Quick search and your video came up. Kudos

I replaced the battery and that was the entire problem. It wasn’t even a starter to begin with low voltage.
I put a new battery in before this started happening. Auto parts store recommended I up grade to premium battery

My 2017 won't start an making Winding noise
That one did sounds weird for it being a security issue. Maybe an intermittent bad starter?
No. Security issue. But hey that’s a new one!
