- In this episode we take advantage of the nice weather to finally showcase some of the rare bikes we shipped in from Slovenia. (Watch for more showcases from the shipment in future episodes!) Then, sadly, a tree eats our Spring-celebration kite. And at long last, we take a trip to Bennett's house to pick up his homemade cnc machine - the next step in creating the molds for the MOTO's plastic components.

I own one of those. When Tomos got the contract to copy Puch their bikes they were only allowed in a few eastern countries but a loophole fell into the contract which made it possible for Tomos to sell their bikes in the Netherlands under the name: Tomos 4tl (they look nicer than apn's in my opinion, they have more chrome parts.

The funny part is that those bikes were first build and designed by Puch, production starting in the late 50’s and than with gained popularity in the 60’s in the Netherlands and Germany tomos started building the budget version under a licence by Puch
We had Finnish mopeds (Solifer) with Tomos engines in Finland in the 70's and 80's, so these seem nostalgic to me. Everyone always wondered why they had the kickstarter in the left side.

Bt motors are same as atx just that they have bigger carburrator and L piston
WOW! Super sweet stock imports. 🙌Now that the weather is turning I need to convince some other mopeders to day trip to NYC. See these things before they get scoooped up. Glad to see people riding mopeds instead of piloting drones, but you gotta do something when its 20 degrees out.

I really need to get myself a small bike for scooting around, was thinking about a modern 50cc like a ruck since it has such a strong aftermarket and has a 4 stroke so no mixing.
We carry the Bintelli Spark. Is a 50cc four stroke. Good scooter at a good price.

And bt engine is preaty much the same as atx, but bt have a biger carburator.
The machine on your is probebly from newer APN 6 s becouse of black cylinder cover.
And if it is made before year 1991 it have a small clutch cover, but if it is newer then it have bigger round clutch cover.
But it can be 60cc becouse here in Slovenia we gride an original cylinder from factory(38mm vide piston) to 42mm vide piston.And with bigger carburator it can reach up to 90-110 km\h.Of course it need fifth gear.
Did U sell the Monster moped Kustom ATXm ? How much are U asking ??? I rescued an Indian 1986 on way to OBX trip... from NC mountains but lower body is badly rusted... I LOVE the WHEELS !!!!

I'd say an a35 with one of these transmissions on any tomos would be a perfect tomos.
A35 top end doesn't fit on manual tomos engines without modifications, the ports on the blocks are larger, than the mating surface of the cylinder.

If Tomos had brought the ATX or any of those offroad models to the US, i think it would have been huge. An awesome affordable dirt bike/moped that kids or adults could ride... AND street legal?? I bet it was the fact that it would have been hard to adapt pedals to it maybe? Look at the Ruckus and Zuma, all they do is act like offroaders and they sell off the shelves! Dang our oppressive moped laws for keeping the goods from us!

man i am from slovenia and your saying so much wrong thing the bt motor didnt have a fan it was the same as atx just had a bigger cylinder so it was faster but slower acceleration

@@MopedProblems It has a bt cylinder and a performance exhaust, stock atx is slower, than a stock sprint.
@@tilenlini stock atx has that cylinder without cooling fan
@@majkutisusernameom stock atx has the same shape cylinder as the bt, just the intake is different, the bt has a visibly larger intake, than the atx.
Mostly apn models + some other random models have forced air cooled engines.

What's the top speed of the APNs?
More or less 50kmh, i dont know how much that is in miles.
Ken Thomas with 5speed about 65km/h with 4speed 60km/h
50 k = 30 mph
@@tomosrider6343 I had an APN4 with 5 speed, the maximum it could go was 50-55 kmh, I think when you play around with the transmission it could go up to 60-65 kmh.
Csikos Igor apn4 can 50-55 but apn6 can 65 my can 70 without tuning

Im dfom Slovenia and i broke quite a lot of the cooling fans, becuse your shoe laces get stuck in there and fuck everything up.:)
