Bro Qaisar you may have a personal grudge against some people, but I have watched the video. And, I found nothing against Islam. To me, it was just an academic opinion by a professor of Political Science and how history has evolved in his opinion. If you have a problem with that, negate it rationally with facts. Mention some books as he did. And critique his argument, not socialism because that wasn't the topic of his discussion.

For your information, Dr Taimur told in the video how Republics were changed into empires. If you are criticizing his views, then present your views instead of doing personal attacks on him and Dr engineer.

Medina Economics is not much further from state ownership of resources and means of production. Expecting redistribution of wealth by mere banning (in fact renaming) of interest is a pipe dream. As such there are very few banker billionaires in Forbes list which is dominated by technology enterprise owners (and science has been weekness of Islamic societies).
Only Democratic and Secular setups with market driven economies (with State supplied quality Education, Health and a bare minimal income support) have some chance of success.
Contrary to Raja's claim people from western societies who attracted to ISIS were in general of two types (a) misfits and drop-outs from western socities with acute sense of having been discriminated (b) youth brain-washed by radicals.

Give me one Islamic country's name that has applied Sharia model and progressed and I will shut up. I give you enough examples to contrary viz, Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Iran, Mauritania, Morocco, Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Tunisia, Yemen....... The only ones doing better are either Kingdoms /Constitutional Monarchies like Bahrain, Brunei, UAE, Kuwait, Malaysia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Jordan or secular Turkey and Indonesia.

I know why Mirza is doing this: he knows nothing about Islam as a System. He takes islam only in terms of Aqaid, Ibadaat and Rasomaat, and that too in the prism of Sectarianism. He bashes sects using the rationalist principles of atheism. That's why he only demolishes the already established religious notions and doesn't provide any alternative structure of Islam. Being a pure rationalist, it is natural for him to praise every ideology that strikes the reason. Therefore, he writes the comments saying 'excellent analysis' under all those videos which appeal to reason, such as the videos of seculars, liberals and socialists.

Qaisar bhai hope you get to read this. A little disagreement with your idea of progress and science. You need to read on what these 02 ideas have done to this planet. Name me one thing that you call a product of scientific progress and it doesnt come with a whole mechanism of destruction behind it. Pick plastics, air cons, cars, pesticides and tell me honestly would any of the greatest minds from best of our generation have adopted such "gifts" of science let alone worked on inventing these?
You need to study more the idea of progress and how this is not consistent with Islam. Like vulgarity cant exist with Islam so cant the idea of progress. The 02 concepts are incoherent. And such ideas coming from an intellectual of your stature makes one feel sad.

@@farhan.alam12 thank brother, I hope he reads this too and gives it a second thought. I've not seen him critical of science and progress and that's one thing where in my opinion he is lacking. He has a great opinion on traditional approach to Islam but it amazes me when he calls for modernsim along with that. Thats inconsistant ! Modernity is a complete way of life and so is Islam, you can pick one not both.
And brother its not about in hands of Muslims or West, science is science and destructive in its core, its not value neutral. Science comes with its complete metaphysics and philosophy. Which Muslim scholar on earth would have left their work and spent life gazing at stars to explore new planets spending billions as Nasa does while half of the population suffers from food shortages.
Islam is a way of life and its way is to live a simple traditional life in line with nature. Its not to wake up every morning with an aim to control the nature to extract more and more pleasures at the expense of it.
