After two years of bundling up hand me down jackets and rain bibs, I broke out some cash and bought the Predator Ice Suit. Needless to say its this was a great investment! This suit keeps me warm and dry and lets me bounce around a lot more without using the heat in my portable ice shanty.

I have the bibs and am considering picking up the jacket now that I can find it on sale. Love the bibs just not sure if I need the jacket too. I often get warm and end up ditching layers. Thanks for the vid and your wife is a good sport!
I end up ditching layers too but with the jacket most of the time I don't have to wear gloves which is the best part.

Very cool. I've never seen a thermal test on this outfit before. Plus, this might be the first time I heard someone say, "it doesn't help you catch more fish." It seems like everything helps you catch more fish.... according to the marketers.
But buying stuff is half the fun!

If it keeps you fishing longer or more often then it does catch you more fish
I’m considering buying the predator bibs this year. Striker markets the predator suit as lighter because it’s made for someone who moves around a lot. The Climate suit is supposedly the warmer one but also more expensive. I like the predator price range and features. Have you found that it has been warm enough overall for different conditions? Where I am, winter temps can range from mild to below zero. I do have a shelter but I’m concerned about when I’m just standing around watching tip ups. Your thermal test was interesting. Any insight you can provide from using the suit on ice would be appreciated. Thanks.
I've fished it in some negative temperatures and been warm. Before I bought this I would just hide in my shelter all day with heat. Now I can move around and fish without gloves most of the time because the suit is so warm. If you have good base layers buy the Predator suit!
Thanks. I’m going to order online because the stores here don’t carry them. I’ll end up measuring at home for fit. I am 5’10”, 185lbs. You look like you’re about the same build as me. Did you go with the medium bibs? If not, which size and are you satisfied with how they fit?
@@tms2568 I'm 5 10 as well but 150 and I do have the medium bibs they are loose on my even with a pair of jeans and an underlayer.
