Why would any home intruder attack the kids first? Two sleeping children none the less?! They always remove a bigger threat first, like adults especially parents who will fight for their children's life until the last breath. That's a very first thing that made me suspicious.

@@AussieTruthSeeker are you replying to me, and if so do you consider my opinion an "ignorant opinion" or just an ignorant opinion. What trauma did she go through before all this happened and how did that in any way influence an intruder to attack the helpless sleeping children first? Further more, how does that kind of bloodbath happen without her waking up? Too many questiones.

Amela, sorry I should have stated I was replying to Kimberly's "selective amnesia" comment ...
...but as you stated "too many questions" ...especially to find someone guilty, and have them sentenced to death.
For the most part, people put no time and effort into properly researching the case thoroughly. They watch biased 'programs' and then think they're making up their own minds.

People forget that everyone has their own head, and brain. Not all of us think alike. Especially when the circumstances are different. One night, I while at work, I was followed by three men. I took out my phone and started recording. Nothing bad happened. When I reported the incident to my supervisor, I was asked why didn't I called 911 instead of recording? That proves that we all think different. Assuming I dial 911, would the police believe that I was in any danger? We all have a way of thinking and living

"What woke you up?" asked the interviewer.
"My little boy, Damon", replied Darlie. "He was pressing on my shoulder, and he was saying 'Mommy'".... Darlie says that she saw the guy walking away.
It is right here that Darlie gives her lie away.
Since the attacker is walking away, the attack has already taken place. Damon has been stabbed four times in the back, the deep stab wounds penetrated his lungs and his liver. Damon died a few minutes later.
Would the mortally wounded Damon really be in a position to calmly stand at Darlie's side, press her shoulder and say "Mommy"? This scene is totally unbelievable and I don't believe a word of it.

    • @kittykatt4429

Don't forget the fact that she's said all along and testified to that after he woke her up, Damon walked right behind her while she was going to the kitchen to look for the intruder. It's just not medically possible with the injuries he sustained. The evidence on Damon was that he did try to crawl towards the wall so he can get up which is why his handprint was on the wall. He was stabbed 4 times while his brother was stabbed twice. It was believed that Darlie thought he was dead by while on the phone she realized he was still alive. Supposedly, he was stabbed 2 more times while he tried to crawl and get up.

He could also be arned with a gun and still kill them all. She knew that there was never a breakin, therefore didn't think and act like a true victim and mother would have done - run upstairs to see to the baby. She slept with the boys downstairs .. she said she awoke to her son saying mommy and she sat right up .. seen the man… picked up the knife.. seen the other son and screamed for her husband! So when did she get stabbed???because I’m sure she’d wake up to someone stabbing her .. not remaining asleep until her son said mommy. Darlie wasn't wearing shoes, she was bare footed. If she had initially walked through all of the blood, she would have left a bloody foot trail from the couch to the utility room, but there wasn't such a trail. Her bloody footprints were in the kitchen, one under the sink had been wiped away, but was found by the police using Luminol.
Now, if she had kneeled by the boys when stabbing them, she wouldn't have initially had blood under her feet. That blood came under her feet after she returned to the living area, realised that Damon wasn't dead, then stabbed him again. This time she did get blood under her feet that she tried in part to conceal. Which innocent victim cleans the sink area in the kitchen from blood ?

How do you know? That tape has never been released to the public in its entirety.
*“The cops cut that part out of the evidence.”*
No, they didn’t. The Silly String video was recorded by the local news crew that Darlie invited out for the birthday party. They recorded the the party and a bizarre interview with Darlie and Darin afterwards. They did not record the prayer service at all. The prayer service was recorded by police surveillance equipment placed close to the gravesite. The State turned that surveillance video over the defense in December of 1996. It was her defense who decided not to enter it into evidence. They also declined an offer by the State during the trial to show the video to the jury. So, nothing was cut out or hidden, her defense had the tape and chose not to use it.
*“They also were also unconvicted felons because they were guilty of violating federal wiretapping laws and should have been charged for their crimes.”*
They were not guilty of anything. Darlie’s husband and her mother sued the City of Rowlett, naming the detectives and the DA. Lost, appealed, lost again, and was rejected by the Supreme Court. No expectation of privacy in a public place and the officers had legal permission as well as permission from the owners of the cemetery.

Friends' and neighbours' opinions on Darlie were not all positive. In fact, they were largely divided on her behaviour and parenting. Darlie was depressed before this happened, because of a combination of high debt and the struggles of looking after two young children and a newborn baby. She would frequently swear at the boys in public and lock them out of the house for punishment. Just because Darlie did a lot of nice things for the boys and their friends in public doesn't mean she did it out the goodness of her own heart. Selfish people do that all the time to make themselves look like better people. They tried to say that she didn't do it because of a sock that was found several feet away from her home , i believe in an Alleyway or something!?
They say that she didn't have the time to drop the sock and come back and do all that she did but that's just not true because I know of another case in which a woman shot her husband and drove his car with some of the belongings that she took out of the house , acting as if it was stolen , and drove it about two and a half miles away from her home and left the vehicle.
Yet she was still able to run back to the scene and ransack the house both the top and the bottom floor knocking things over and pulling out a couple of drawers and she did that all within a few minutes!
So it is 100% possible that darlie ran that sock , that had only her children's blood on it , and her DNA on the inside , down I believe an Alleyway , only a few feet from her house and drop that sock making her Intruder accusations seem accurate. And the distance that darlie Routier ran was closer to her home than the other individual who drove a car over two and a half miles away from her home before running back finishing up and calling the law and as I mentioned that was also done within minutes
Now mind you, there was only a couple of drops of blood on that sock in which belonged to the children and the only DNA belonging to darlie Routier was located inside the sock but there was no DNA from any male Intruder that she claimed! So that tells me she stabbed her children wearing that sock or she grabbed the sock that she once wore and put the children's blood on it then ran it a few feet away from her house and dropped it , then come back , committed the injuries to herself over the sink which is why they found a majority of her blood down the drain and attempted to clean up and make the scene fit to her narrative , which was clearly impossible to do.
She absolutely done this and she deserves to pay the ultimate price for doing so

    2) The arm wound, you can try this out yourself at home, just be very careful, have a second person come at you wielding a knife (use a marker instead of a knife) over hand, you raise your arm to defend yourself, see where the marker touches your skin.
Here is the other issue, regardless of what kind of argument your in with your spouse, your waken up to see someone in your home, what would be your first reaction, your right, it would be to scream and wake up your spouse, yet the husband wasn't waken up till after she called the cops. • @Cagebreaker

Darin never attempted CPR on Damon - I do blame Darlie (the murderer) for this. As Darin stated, she brought his attention to Devon as soon as he got down there, knowing for sure that Devon was already dead.
But you’re dead on about Damon’s behavior in her version of events. Damon is a 5 yr old little boy who has been stabbed four times in the back, with stabs that pierced his lung and liver. There’s no way in hell that little boy was talking (crying at best, perhaps) and walking around.
Blood evidence actually shows Damon did probably try to stand up but was unable to because of the pain/degree of injury and he was instead trying to drag himself over to the entryway of the home… they believe because the stairs were there and he was trying to get to his daddy. But in the process, Damon was attacked again.
I fully believe it went down like this: Darlie first goes after Devon. Now Devon died on his back, in the same position he fell asleep in, but he had some bruising plus a posterior wound of the buttock or thigh… the only way this is possible is if he had his legs up. I think Devon kicked at Darlie when he realized that he was being attacked - his eyes were open so he saw and responded to his killer for the brief time he was alive for after the stabs. She then goes after Damon, stabs him two times like with Devon and thinks that’s it. She starts staging the scene (like planting the sock), rinses off the knife (which had extremely minimal or no blood from Devon when found) before she cuts herself over the sink, which had diluted samples from both boys. She goes back into the living room and sees Damon is still alive and has dragged himself across the floor… so she stabs him two more times and then plants the knife before screaming for Darin. She knows now that Damon survived the first 2 stabs and is probably still alive after the second pair, but not for very long. So when Darin comes down those stairs, that’s why he says she came at him screaming “Devon Devon Devon Devon Devon!” She knew Damon wasn’t dead yet and wanted to divert Darin (who was CPR certified) to the son that was already 100% dead for sure.

How can she be laughing and playing with silly string at her sons grave site 8 EIGHT DAYS after the murder? Psychologically speaking (I’ve studied this in college) Psychopaths HAVE to mimic normal people. They have a lack of morals, emotions, sensibilities and social queues. They have to mask. They copy the actions and reactions of people to use as what would look like a “normal” reaction to other humans. But yet they don’t see themselves and how they look how it looks a little off. and when they think they are getting away with it they almost unconsciously smile or laugh being the “duping delight” it’s a tell tale sign of deception. Her injuries were almost completely fatal if that knife would have went I believe only a few more inches in it would have literally killed her! Yet she claims that she was asleep the entire time that this attack happened on both her boys and her? Not to mention there wasn't any blood found on that couch in which darlie Routier claimed she was sleeping on when the attack took place but my biggest question is how did this man attack both of your children and you killing them and almost killing you and you sleep through the entire thing? That's an insane accusation to make and it's just simply untrue! A knife wielding attacker slitting your throat almost killing you and you sleep through the whole thing? The couch was absolutely clean with no blood on it at all therefore if she would have actually sustained these horrible injuries while she was on that couch sleeping then that couch would have been covered in her blood and it wasn't so that alone renders her testimony to be absolute bulshit and anybody who falls for it needs to check themselves into an insane asylum

Pertaining to Darly saying she touched the knife to 911 operator-she said it in response to the operator saying “don’t touch anything.” Had she not said anything at the time, the prosecutor would have attacked her for that once her prints were found on the knife! He would have said she had the opportunity to tell us she had touched the knife at that moment, but DIDN’T!! Would it not have been easier for Darly to just wipe the knife clean and not say a word in response to the 911 operator’s request? She didn’t do that. I’ll admit Darly’s behavior and body language are ODD, no doubt about it, but the physical evidence is contradictory (points to guilt and innocence 50/50). Bottom line: the state should have allowed DNA testing and Darly’s statement on the 911 call has been taken out of context.

No they wouldn’t, because she would have stilled had plenty of opportunities to tell them that she touched the knife before her fingerprints were found on the knife. When the detective was questioning her about what happened, she could have told him then that she touched the knife. There is no way that a mother would have been able to sleep through both of her sons being stabbed.

@@sierramcclary2897 Yeah, you missed the point. The operator specifically asked her about the knife and it’s location. Had she not said she touched it at that time, the prosecutor would have attacked her. As for your other point: Some people are crazy, heavy sleepers. I imagine someone who sleeps in their living room instead of a bed is probably one of those people. Also, if he had ambushed the children, it’s possible that they wouldn’t have made any noise. I mean, why didn’t Darren wake up if Darly did it?

There are several episodes that they have put out and some seem point to her guilt and others imply that the case wasn't handled correctly or there was prejudice. I find the blood evidence alone should clearly convict her, but as one prosecuter implied we have to look at the "totality of the evidence" and that's why she's on Death Row because that too supported that she killed her sons and tried to cover it up. Now job one is to discredit the judicial system and so that is their goal here. They want to create a reasonable doubt. The same thing was done in the OJ Simpson trial. He brutally murdered his wife and "her friend" and because one police officer did something wrong and OJ was Black, he was found innocent even though DNA evidence was vast and everything else pointed to his guilt. Darlie has a lot of support many of who are probably opponents to the death penalty and would try to get her off for that reason regardless of whether she is guilty. The two main witnesses are dead and their blood cries out to Heaven for justice.
