I'm 43. Grew up on Beatles, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, etc. I just heard MGMT for the first time last month and haven't stopped listening since. Thanks for uploading this. This song got me hooked on MGMT.
All their albums are psychedelic goodness definitely inspired by those bands. You should definitely check out their newest album that's coming out on Nov. 11th because it's the first album since they started their own label and aren't being controlled by a record company whatsoever. It's probably gonna be trippy.
My favorite music is usually from the 70s-- before my "time"- but I really love this song. To me, it illustrates the feeling one gets when one has reached their limit with a narcissist, and has finally been freed from a narcissist's spell.
SmytheSmythe I’m hoping tickets won’t sell out for the 4th, too, because I don’t want to pay service fees and shit. I’d save $27. I’m gonna try to pay at the box office.
Now why doesn't he normally perform the song like this? I checked like 6 performances to see if he ever does it different, and in all the rest he's singing soft, almost no emotion. Strange, seeing that he can do it like this if he wants. More animated overall really..
@@kiara1813 yes Andrew plays guitar rly well Kuroma only joined them on the live shows after Oracular but before that, all guitar on their songs is pretty much andrew He's been playing for a while I recommend checking the live versions of TSLAMP and Siberian Breaks, he's good
@@datavalisofficial8730 yeah I know that I saw all their concerts online I was just asking for this in particular because I can’t tell .. I don’t play guitar..

Looks like a Rickenbacker but I might be wrong.
Andrew's playing a Danelectro, bass player is playing a Rickenbacker
It's an electric guitar
