I agree she’s refreshing and comforting. The thing is people occasionally say to me I’m clearly nervous when I don’t know them well and talking to them, or they might tell to ‘relax’ or something, but the thing is often I’m not especially nervous, I just communicate in a way that may seem sometimes slightly erratic etc, when I’m just trying to express myself, and it’s a bit frustrating

I have great respect for her, I can't even eat in public. It means HOW much she loves acting. I'm a medical school student with social anxiety, it's such a hindrance to everything :( I love people and that's why I chose this career, but any interaction with people I don't know well makes me feel so self-conscious, and I'm expected to speak to patients with confidence and make them feel like they're in good hands but it's so hard to do that when I come off like Kristen Stewart in this interview. I don't know how I'm going to get through interviews when applying for residencies

You can feel and see her discomfort often. My heart goes out to her for pushing herself through. She has gotten more comfortable overtime and does better when she likes and respects the interviewer. Her Tavis Smiley interview was just great. Also figuring out how to handle questions about her sexuality in the face of her celebrity and being true to herself in the process. That is a lot for someone to chunk off and figure out in ones private life without the added pressure of being in the public eye constantly. Folks who say she is rude and self absorbed don't have fleets of cameras following them when they go to get a cup of coffee. That would wear on anyone. I feel bad for her. It would make me angry to have to deal with that constantly. I think considering all these things she is an amazing being especially for just being 27 years old.
I am a little late to comment on this but I just wanted to say I am French and I was at the César when she made her speech and honestly it was so great !! Of course she made mistakes but let me tell you when I speak english in front of a lot of people (and even here I am sure I am making some mistakes) I also can messed up -> but that is not really the important think here : she tried to do something nice for us and honestly that's what matter the most she didn't go the easiest way and ask for a translator she tried -> it was such an honor she came at all that I don't think people in the room payed attention to her mistakes they were just happy she tried (at least I was :) )

Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan have both been in plenty of films outside of their Bond films, but the first thing that comes to mind with most people is Bond. My point is, yes some of her fans are able to move on and see her for something more than Twilight, but that's just not the way the majority of people work and she will be known as Twilight for a long time.

They don't talk about their past work again and again since it's been years. If she didn't done any other work than twilight then that's understandable but she's done so many movies and I felt bad for her. Have you ever watched any other interviews of her recently? She usually gives so much detail and expresses her feelings in such a deep and excited tone on her movies. You can see how passionate she is about her work, she has a way with her words. I personally love hearing her thoughts and feelings on things. She was pretty nervous in this, I think it's because of the subject or maybe Ellen herself. Don't get me wrong I like Ellen too but in this, not much.
I believe the awkwardness we see is someone who is truly and courageously pushing past her comfort zone even if it feels uncomfortable being in her own skin to do it. I can't imagine having to cope with anxiety in the face of such celebrity. It is hard enough in a normal life. Celebrity is just so much more added pressure. You can feel and see her discomfort often. My heart goes out to her for pushing herself through. She has gotten more comfortable overtime and does better when she likes and respects the interviewer. Her Tavis Smiley interview was just great. Also figuring out how to handle questions about her sexuality in the face of her celebrity and being true to herself in the process. That is a lot for someone to chunk off and figure out in ones private life without the added pressure of being in the public eye constantly. Folks who say she is rude and self absorbed don't have fleets of cameras following them when they go to get a cup of coffee. That would wear on anyone. I feel bad for her. It would make me angry to have to deal with that constantly. I think considering all these things she is an amazing being especially for just being 27 years old.

I am a little late to comment on this but I just wanted to say I am French and I was at the César when she made her speech and honestly it was so great !! Of course she made mistakes but let me tell you when I speak english in front of a lot of people (and even here I am sure I am making some mistakes) I also can messed up -> but that is not really the important think here : she tried to do something nice for us and honestly that's what matter the most she didn't go the easiest way and ask for a translator she tried -> it was such an honor she came at all that I don't think people in the room payed attention to her mistakes they were just happy she tried (at least I was :) )

They don't talk about their past work again and again since it's been years.
