Since I live alone, my game room is my living room. I've got a whole bookshelf full fo video games and on top of my other bookshelves I keep the empty boxes of collectors editions and different consoles. In my bed room I keep the soundtracks and the statues of these games, like the two latest ESO statues, Morrowind and Summerset Isles. I love it! Keep making awesome videos man, I really enjoy watching a fellow gamer/collector showing his or her collection!
Glad you got the LEGO controller models Jason and glad you like them! Some of the best work we've done. And thanks so much for the mention! Love the tour videos. From one old-schooler to another, keep the good stuff coming!
Great room! Feel sorry for all the digital enthusiasts who wont know what it feels like to have a actual game room. I love my GR as im sure you do. It's not about the value its about sitting back and admiring what you've accomplished throughout the years of collecting.
To each his own, but you two are a dying breed of people. Digital is the future. For example, I can store 100 games on a. SD for a Nintendo switch. I could play any game at any time without having to swap cartridges. If something happens to the switch or SD card, I just redownload the game. If something happens to a game cartridge, I'd have to buy the game again. I could easily take a digital 100 game library with me on the go. Can't do that easily with cartridges. Cartridges are extremely bad for the environment as we've seen with carts like ET and others that just go into landfills. Digital has no environmental impact. I could continue listing reasons why digital is superior to cartridge, but any sane, rational person already understands why.
I don't have a huge game collection, but I would say almost every game and every system has a story behind it. Some games I remember getting for birthdays or Christmas growing up, others I remember hunting around for and then finally getting a copy. For consoles, most of them I've purchased broken and then I had an adventure repairing them. So while my collection isn't extremely rare or expensive, I'd like to think everything in it has a unique, special meaning to me.
I have that 360 case...one of my fave things. They are actually calibur11 vault cases. They had a call of duty one, a battlefield one and a mass effect one. I have a Tron arcade cabinet from 1981. It needs repaired and I can't find anyone to fix it but it's there and it used to work...lol
I've lost out on so much game collecting in my short life so far between being a young clueless kid, people stealing from me,foolishly selling things, etc. but I always just look at game rooms and collections like these to really keep motivation and momentum going for the one day where I have an amazing game room.
When I was still living with my Dad, my dad was the biggest collector I knew. He would collect figures and posters from Toys R Us, Gamestop, and video game stores all around Washington. After I got my first check as a Teenager I decided I wanted to follow in his footsteps. I got a large amount of posters from movies, games, TV Shows. Just so my room represented what I liked. I even have a Deadnight Ash figure from Evil Dead 2 still hanging up in my room. Keep in mind I got them when I was 13, 19 now. Already 6 years has passed and my collection not only grew in size, but more memorable.
Started this video at 49 views, ended the video now at 1,322 views. i remember subbing years back when you had like maybe 20k subs, now your past half a million. well deserved!
The pride and joy of my collection is definitely my Mcfarlane toys 18 inch talking Ash figure from Army of Darkness. I just love this thing. It works off of a motion sensor and the way I have it positioned, the light hits it and sets it off whenever I leave for work in the morning so every morning I get some classic Ash saying as I'm walking out the door. Whenever I get a "groovy", I know it's gonna be a good day.
Big video game collector and cast enthusiast. I used to work at a Ford dealership. And at the time I was just a lackey. One day while taking the trash out there was a new '05 mustang grill set for trash. After making sure it really was trash I put it in my car. Now it shoots on my shelf as a display peice.
Metal Jesus I want to say thank you for these videos man! Me and my girlfriend are videogame collectors we are building a game collection and we watch every video you upload for tips from you. Thank you!! Keep on Rocking!! 😎
So much cool stuff! The Chainsaw controllers are so unique, I passed up two in box years ago for 40 bucks each, ugh regrets. That Phantasmagoria 2 Coffee Cup is completely awesome, and dude the Lunar hand puppet is just bonkers! !
I feel your pain. If I had known that I could make a living talking about video games back when I was a kid, I'd be a millionaire. I thought that all of my video game everything was eventually going to be worthless until I was at least 50, but I was so very wrong. I should have held on to all that stuff.
I was also the guy with the Lamborghini picture (along with other cars) with my sports and music posters as a kid. Great video, love all the extra stuff you have around.
What? I just watched your 2017 video last night. I thought my phone was glitching out when this popped up as a "new" video instead of a "recommended" video. What incredible timing you have friend
I took a little moments to remember Toys R Us, bought a deluxe edition LEGO Star Wars Force Awakens for $5 completely sealed with the Finn minifig and all. Also made up a little sculpture using mega blox depicting a melee battle between two Spartans. I also display my collection of first edition/rare Charizard cards next to my copy of Fire Red I got when I was 9 years old. Love my collection!
One thing that's unique to me in my game room is a custom Jersey I have framed on my wall. I play a lot of MLB the show and I had a Jersey made for one of my Road to The Show Characters. I really enjoy it because it makes my experience as a virtual baseball player seem more real, and its a great conversation starter.
I'm sure you could have guessed this but every extra space in my game room on every shelf (including the mantle of my fireplace) is Mega Man toys - Jazwares, Funko, imports, et cetera along with pins, helmets, keychains, backpack hangers, et CETERA!
Some of my special items in my game room are a Husker Du cassette tape that used to be my dads. I took it when he passed away. A guitar pick that was once used by Chris cornell. And a really cool picture my daughter made for me on photoshop with a bunch of different game characters. She's only 11 and super talented so it has a proud place on my wall.
Very excellent gaming treasures to have in any game room!! Always cool to see how all your fans look.for the little details in your videos! Hope you have a Terrific Tuesday
I've got the Gears of Was Xbox 360 and never really played it that much, but man I love it! I'll use it for a movie or a nostalgia game. Yours has the add-ons, all of the add-ons! It really has me thinking where's my skull, but I opted not to buy that nor the headphone holder because I lay mine flat. You got to love the sound it makes when you load a disc into it... RIP Maria, Dom really loved her...
Can't wait to one day have my own room with all this in but for now I have a 6.6ft x 9.6ft shed in the back garden with a bed in and all my gear in, still got odds and ends to finish it and make it perfect but it's nearly there! Great video MJR!
Nag Nag Nag...It's been over 3 months since the last vinyl pick ups. More PLEASE. Look forward to them so much. Sorry for the nags but I was taught by an expert! ALL the best.
"Subway at Westinghouse, nor the pranks at the bus stop, nor the long exposures on tennis shoes, this time around I won't be singin' in the rain, Paul. Everybody Reese's until the milk is gone and/or bad. Too many people with Lynette at Starbuck's franchise." 🗨😉⛾💠🚏💦🗺🌌
My gameroom is basically an older 30inch LCD TV on a wheeled kitchen cart. I use the shelves to house my older consoles (PS 1, 2, 3 and a Wii) My PS4 is hooked up to the main TV in the living room but the cart is super fun at parties with SSX3, Soul Caliber 4, Burnout 3 (Crash Mode Baby) and Just Dance, yes, Just Dance: It is super popular with my wife's friends and our neighbors... except maybe the ones who live downstairs.
I have the ghaleon punching puppet as well. Though the display box was destroyed by water during a floor the doll itself is in prime condition. I got it with Lunar 2 the collectors edition at EBGames(what gamestop used to be) or even older named Electronics Boutique. When it first came out. Working Designs used to put out the coolest collectors editions... though at the cost of their own company down the line. I wish more companies were like that back then. We get some decent collectors physical editions these days though. Mostly with similar things to what Working Designs would put in, Statuettes, cloth maps, stickers, soundtracks, art prints and more.... Cool game room tour!
The promotional Ghaleon Boxing Puppet was from Babbage's. You got one when preordering LUNAR Silver Star Story Complete for the PSX in 1999. In was managing a Babbage's at the time and they sent us way too many of these things.. I ended up giving them away to some of our cooler customers. And I still have 2 of them myself. :)
Awesome stuff! I have an old 80s plastic Super Mario lunchbox that I added foam to and made a carry case for my SNES Classic with it... that and I have a handful of Nintendo POGs from like 1996 that I found at my local game shop... those are probably my most interesting things right now.
I will never understand how (at time of writing) 18 people have "thumbs downed" this. Something is wrong with anyone who could disapprove of Metal Jesus, one of the most kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and inclusive personalities on YT. I, for one, appreciate who you are and what you do, MJ. Keep it up! Much Love.
Voivodian 83 - Sorry dude... but that theory of me having a long term dent in prices was DEBUNKED with actual data: ua-cam.com/video/vwMHdX7OsQk/v-deo.html
Your argument is selfish nonsense, Voivodian. Let's suppose for a moment you are correct and that MJ (and bloggers, Yt'ers) drives up prices when he posts. You're saying that because it makes YOUR hobby more expensive and less exclusive to REAL fans such as yourself, that what he does deserves a "thumbs down". Think about that, for a second. He spends his time and effort trying to share his love of games with everyone, so we can all get out of his hobby what he does. You want to keep your little club all to yourself. Not only childish, but "never-learned-to-share" childish. "Vindictive" childish. Those petty "thumbs down"s potentially affect a man's livelihood. YOU had to pay a little more for some grotty old nostalgia nonsense, so nevermind the joy he brings or the money he makes... You sir, are why the internet can't have nice things. Or nice people.
I see NOX. That game was great. Nice Video, I love seeing all the little things than make your game room so unique. My Game room is getting there but I only collect games I play. I'm not a completion-est.
I’ve got a few odds and ends. An old Mario kart toy I got when I was about 10 from McDonald’s, a (crappy) plastic handheld guitar hero 3 game from toys are us, and a tin that held guitar hero brand boxers of all things (and they still fit!)
That mini nuke is awesome! I have the fallout 4 collectors edition on my shelf that came with a pip boy that you could slide your phone in and control your actual pip boy in game with an app which I thought was pretty cool.
You have a very nice game room, great stuff! My game room is a lot smaller but recently I had some canvas posters made of my favourite PC big box game covers such as Ultima I and Ultima IV. They look really awesome on the wall!
I'm still on my way collecting the stuff I love. I have a couple of consoles and handhelds like Switch Wii PS3 Xbox 360 PSP GBA NDS etc and some amiibos. Not as many as you guys have but all have their own stories and memories.
I try to avoid having a lot of collector type stuff on display. I constantly rotate it. Get it. Have it for a bit. Pass it on to a friend or sell it. But a few things I have that i would never part with include a Darth Revan bust, a wood carving of a hand shooting the finger, and my witchblade figure signed by Michael Turner.
I have that Lunar boxing puppet (it portrays Ghaleon, one of the four Dragonmasters). I got mine as a promo gift with I recall Lunar: Eternal Blue at Electronics Boutique (now Gamestop). Working Designs were certainly good at packaging and gift promos! I also have a boxing nun puppet for no discernible reason :)
I have a fair few collectors editions but 3 things funny things I like which I own are..... Companion cube plush, head crab plush and Robbie the rabbit plush. Sometimes the little things tickle you more than the bigger things.
Love the room. Very inspirational, since my game room is also my living room. I don't got so much space yet. But when I get something bigger. I too will build my self a game room :)
The only thing I have that I think is pretty cool is a poster for the PC game Age of Mythology that is actually signed around the edges by the development team. I got this when I was a webmaster for a fan site for the game back when it came out and I actually got to go to the launch party. There are probably only 100 or so of these posters in existence (or less) and I still have it and found it a couple years ago and put it on my wall. The artwork is pretty cool I think.
I've got a few physical knic-knacs that are part of pre-order bonuses for blockbuster video games such as Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, The Last of Us, and Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. I don't collect a lot of these as I don't have enough space to hold them all.
Still love those mini 3D printed mini consoles! Is there any one quirky miscellaneous collectible you've been actively looking to add to your collection that's just been impossible to find?
I have a question: When did you say "I'm no longer a casual gamer" I'm a collector? I know you have been 'collecting' your whole life but there's a big difference between the two. I'm in a third category, I've just given up selling anything I own anymore bc I miss it down the road.
MJR is such a humble and cool guy. next time I think about giving my game stuff or action figures away, I'll give them to him. I'd rather them go to a good home and have him appreciate them.
Autoduel for the C64 was my favorite game back in the day, I have been trying to get a copy in great shape complete with the tool kit but I seem to miss them when they come up in the $50-$100 range. One day it will be mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm surprised you haven't got the Neo Geo in your game room. It was all the rage in the 1990:s, especially in Japan. It had some quite unique and really high-quality games for its time. Of course, it was also expensive as heck so most people only got to experience it through demo units in stores...
Awesome game room! I don't even have that many retro games to fill a small shelf, they're pretty expensive here in Uruguay and they're not my top priority, though I love collecting them. Somethings I would highlight from my collection are the Mario movie figures of Mario and Luigi and a VHS of the Sonic animated series.
I got one of the gears of war 3 case's for my gears of war 3 limited edition 360 console when they first come out in Australia. I also got the mass effect 3 case with the light up N7 logo on it.
I saw them when I was visiting my sister and the bottle shop had just got them in, a few years later and just the empty bottles are fetching a few quid now!
I have a small collection of Not-For-Resale 3DS carts that I got when I was a contractor for Nintendo. It's easily one of my highlights no doubt along with my nametag.
Honestly this channel is the happiest corner of youtube. Whenever I come here and watch a video I end up happier on the inside
YAY!!
@@MetalJesusRocks seriously man, your attitude is contagious and it is highly appreciated.

Room of poon
Great room! Feel sorry for all the digital enthusiasts who wont know what it feels like to have a actual game room. I love my GR as im sure you do. It's not about the value its about sitting back and admiring what you've accomplished throughout the years of collecting.
CP3 Fan god I hate digitals
CP3 Fan something special about going to the video game shop too

Drinking game: Take a drink every time MJ says "cool".
Several people have ended up in the hospital this way, I don't recommend it. ;)
Metal Jesus is so awesomeness! 🤟🏼🎸
Almost at 600k. You were at 280k when I got here, so I'm so glad to see you're almost at double what I first saw you with. Rock on, MJR.

Love all the custom creations! Great video!
I love people who are creative like that and can build cool stuff! It's fun to add those things to the game room collection.

Thanks for continuing to watch my videos!! I really appreciate it :)
Yeah I remember 15k than around 500k I got busy but I'm watching again!
MJR inspired me to buy a house with a basement. It's perfect, it's like owning two houses and u can modify it and make it into ur very own man cave
My kid just came home with one of those mini arcade candy tins. Now I just have to steal it
Metal Jesus I want to say thank you for these videos man! Me and my girlfriend are videogame collectors we are building a game collection and we watch every video you upload for tips from you. Thank you!! Keep on Rocking!! 😎
Mischief Makers spotted. What a gem.
So much cool stuff! The Chainsaw controllers are so unique, I passed up two in box years ago for 40 bucks each, ugh regrets. That Phantasmagoria 2 Coffee Cup is completely awesome, and dude the Lunar hand puppet is just bonkers! !
Thanks! So glad you liked the video :)

@4:30 The perfect mug to drink repeatedly from the office water dispenser without using disposable cups!
This channel gets better and better
I was also the guy with the Lamborghini picture (along with other cars) with my sports and music posters as a kid.
Great video, love all the extra stuff you have around.
who would of thought i would have just discovered you and watched your last room tour yesterday for the first time, only to see this on my feed today.

Nice Figure of Space Ace Frehley! Too cool it even comes with a Marshall stack! Wasn't expecting that
Your videos make me feel like I am there. Your game room looks so cozy and inviting! I definitely get a high from your game room videos.
You really have an amazing collection! I love the passion you have for gaming, it is what makes this channel so great to watch.

Pretty cool stuff.
I just found my KISS wine bottle like 3 days ago that i had since the 90s and its crazy that you make a video with one in it
Amazing stuff! Lol the leaving Sierra pickpocket mug attempt was successful.

Awesome to see all the odd stuff :-D
I have waited so long for the new room tour vid
I want that mini nuke.
The jewls of my Game Rppm are my Black Label PS1 FF Collection, signed by Nobuo Uematsu. And my Silent Hill Collection, signed by Akira Yamaoka.
It's the little things - Junkrat
Still love those mini 3D printed mini consoles! Is there any one quirky miscellaneous collectible you've been actively looking to add to your collection that's just been impossible to find?
I have a question:
When did you say "I'm no longer a casual gamer" I'm a collector? I know you have been 'collecting' your whole life but there's a big difference between the two. I'm in a third category, I've just given up selling anything I own anymore bc I miss it down the road.
I've been collecting on some level since the 80s with my original C64... so over 30 years now.
I love your channel so much, thank you for being such an awesome guy
MJR is such a humble and cool guy. next time I think about giving my game stuff or action figures away, I'll give them to him. I'd rather them go to a good home and have him appreciate them.
Autoduel for the C64 was my favorite game back in the day, I have been trying to get a copy in great shape complete with the tool kit but I seem to miss them when they come up in the $50-$100 range. One day it will be mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the video dude 🤘 you are very lucky to have all these games and music items👍 keep rocking metal Jesus 💀🤘💀🤘
Great Content as Always! You have truly been an inspiration in having me start a youtube channel!
That’s sick. I didn’t even know that was around. Gears of WAR !!!!!!!!!
I see you have ween live in Chicago. Thats a great concert.
Yes!! I've seen Ween a few times live back in the late 90s/2000s.
KISS wine bottle story was cool. Thanks for sharing.
I have a bunch of those candy containers as well. I ate all of the candy though. They look awesome when decorating with retro game figures.
I love the little miniature consoles!!! 😲
Hell yeah man, this was such a fun video to watch. I LOVE toys and such! haha :D
Thank you so much for your channel your channel is awesome you've inspired me to make a channel with my son
In Australia they released I think 3 different AC/DC Wines, not sure if you can get them where you are though!
I saw them when I was visiting my sister and the bottle shop had just got them in, a few years later and just the empty bottles are fetching a few quid now!
Amazing room . I am collecting to do the same . Hope i do good when my house is ready
Good choice on the Dino!
always enjoy your content, keep rocking
I have a small collection of Not-For-Resale 3DS carts that I got when I was a contractor for Nintendo. It's easily one of my highlights no doubt along with my nametag.
Some day I'll start collecting games and this in large part thanks to MJR & LGR :)
