Everyone needs to slow their roll and not just throw a new pump at it. You could have several other issues. If the pump isn't turning, you need to check for voltage at the connector for the pump first. If there is voltage there when you activate the washer fluid spray function on the wiper stalk, then you can replace the pump. Otherwise, you need to work your way back by inspecting the connector itself, the wires back through any junctions/connectors/modules etc., and back to the washer fluid pump relay and fuse. If everything is seemingly ok with the wires, relay, and fuse, then you should jump the pump contacts on the pump relay and see if the pump turns on when you send current to it manually. If so, you'll need to keep working backwards to the body module, clock spring, and wiper control stalk until you find the damaged spot which is preventing the driving current or the command signal current from getting to the relay and pump when you hit the switch to spray. Those of you in the salt belt very well may have a connector on the pump that's all corroded and full of green pus because salt ruins connections and it can even cause a wire to break in half if the insulation jacket gets a cut and the salt water can wick inside onto the copper wire within. Rodents are also a very common cause of wires suddenly being cut in half. Many newer cars use a biodegradable wire insulation made of soy and some rodents find it delicious. 🤷🏼♂️ If you have a problem with any of the aforementioned areas, spending $50 on a pump and doing the work of getting it in will be very upsetting when you let out a happy and satisfied sigh of relief and confidently hit the button to spray the windshield and are instead greeted with zip, zilch, nada. :'( "Test, DON'T guess." I hope this helps.
What vehicle is this? Looks pretty similar to mine and I'm having the same issue. Just wanted to ask before I pulled the liner and tried all that out tomorrow lol
It would’ve been great if you’d told us what car you’re working on but I think it is just a matter of doing some research about where the pump is in your vehicle and how to remove it. My Ford explorer 2005 has that problem and I think it is because I bought some cheap fluid at the 99 cent store.
he is on the right side of his vehicle behind the front wheel well slightly behind the bumper. notice his video shows his wheel is turned far to his right so he didn’t take out his wheel, but who knows…
sometimes it’s the small spray nozzle pieces that are on either the upper center area of the car hood or near the wiper blades, use a very small sewing type needle or safety pin tip and clean the hole of the nozzles of any gunk/debris, sometimes just follow the tube that is connected from the reservoir all the way up to the wiper blades and ensure that it isn’t bent, or has a hole, or have anything clogging it…i still haven’t fixed mine. laziness lol! if you’re trying to spray your windshield while behind the wheel but you don’t hear the motor pump actually working. there’s the answer, if you hear it..& it can be quite silent sometimes too ) then it’s prob not a pump issue.
@@1smae100 i mean it could be a number of things either that or perhaps a connection issue i would probably have it looked at by a professional after checking the wiring to the pump itself…
He mentioned "this is why it's not squirting water." I'm sure it was just a slip but don't use water it will freeze and ruin the lines .
Yes, that’s my bad 🤣 never use water.
i put water in mine but only because i live in a place where it never goes below 50 🥵🥵🥵
C c c.

do u just pull on the motor or unscrew?
Don't forget the blinker fluid too.
God bless you! Reasonably quick fix thanks to your video 🙏🏻
No problem
Well mine not working nor is there a sound when i press for water . Is this most likely mean i will need a new pump for windshield washer?
Mine is totally the same, I tried poking the holes but nothing

First of all, what car model is this?
i’m like 60% sure it’s a hyundai genesis with a turbo 4 cylinder but that is a very weak 60%
Thank you sooo much brother. I just fixed my Queen's pressure issue using this video. Happy wife, happy life🎉
Exactly the same predicament for me :)
No wife happy life

Sorry for late reply. It’s my friend’s Hyundai Genesis coupe
That's exactly what was going on with mine. The windshield washing fluid is squirting now👍
Awesome!
What kinda car is this😊
I watched other videos where they insist you have to take the under engine tray off, the front bumper off etc.
So thanks for this.
No problem!
This is not a hack, this how to clean ur windshield wiper motor💀
Pump, it's a wiper pump!
So go make your own video then smart guy

👊
I think you can get away with removing some of those bolts and not the whole lining.
Is this a Toyota?
That's the washer fluid pump not the motor
The washer fluid pump is a motor. 😐
BRO ALREADY FIXED IT ☠️☠️☠️☠️
camera is too close up. i've no idea where on the car he is
Will be different on different vehicles

Do you disconnect battery first to clean filter on pump? Since disconnect pump- not motor --on 2008 nissan altima--?
u made me shower in blue fluid
Well duh have to drain first pulling off pump- fluid😂 has to go somewhere
At least you're clean
He’s not wrong worth a try before you buy a new one
Or it could be a blocked washer jet like mine was
Go figure it out yourself.
🙏🏾
So, one has the wheel off to locate this???
It depends on what kind of car you have.
Usually
Pump filter
Just where is the motor or pump with gunk filter on 2008 nissan altima?
Mine stopped working after a refill
mine too, any idea what is wrong?
Mine too :/

Once you have done all that you may as well spend the 30 dollars for a new motor
A lot of people don’t have $30 to spend
that was useless
