When my girls were small I decorated for every holiday, whether big or small. I would scour the Target Dollar Spot and Home Goods for the cutest pieces of decor all in an effort to make every holiday fun and memorable for them. But as my girls have gotten older and my design sensibilities have changed a bit, my holiday decorating has evolved as well. I've traded Dollar Spot decor for spools of ribbon, candles and thrifted decor that can be enjoyed all year long and adapted for the changing seasons. So with that being said, in this weeks video I wanted to share how I am decorating for Valentines Day this year. My vision is to create sweet, romantic spaces that blend seamlessly into my existing winter decor by using simple materials such as paper, flowers (both real and faux), and candles just to name a few. I hope that by the end of this video I will have left you inspired to look at your own holiday and seasonal decorating just a little bit differently this and encouraged that you don't have to have a large budget to create beautiful, festive spaces for your loved ones.

Awww I love this ..as I am now an empty nester I too have changed I go for the minimal and most simple decor look natural elements like branches and pine cones are my favorite and ever since I lost my job I decided to go back to thrifting which I enjoy so much ..I was raised on thrifted clothes and items ..now is what makes me happy thank you for sharing this 🫶🏼

Hello, I think it’s cute you have Washington’s portrait as part of your home decor. I happened to find just a few weeks ago a vintage Jefferson portrait at a local thrift shop. I also included it as part of our wall decor. 😊

Would you believe we got it for free?!?! My husband was at a job site and the home owner and him got to talking and they had picked it up as a project piece and never got around to it. It had sat in their garage for a few years and they just wanted rid of it. I was so excited!! I never turn down a free, old mantle!! 😂❤️
