To me, the pacing of the story beats and the character development are not in sync.
The show is still good to watch but, it takes some patience to follow and I'm having difficulty investing in the side characters, as they are so peripheral and flat.
I couldn't put my finger on it, but that's it. When the scene doesn't have Dwight in it, it suffers. None of the characters aside from Stallone are interesting enough on their own. This episode spent the most time on side characters, and suffers for it.
