The guy who took the urinal right next to Clint in an empty bathroom is the biggest villain in the MCU

What really hit me during the dinner scene with the family is how happy Clint is with wanting to do literally everything with his kids.
Like, he thought his whole family was gone forever for years and the snap finally brought them back. He’s making up for lost time, and is incredibly grateful for every second he can spend with them. He’s been given a second chance and it shows.
I'm actually loving Hailee. She's truly perfect for this role and I can't wait to see her character's development as Hawkeye's successor. ☺️
Is Kate supposed to be so anoying, arogant, incompetent and straight up dumb? Didt read much comics with her.

Hi, I lived near a clock tower with a bell. Found out that the bell sound was a recording. The bell assembly was considered unsafe by modern standards so could not be used.

As a fan of Matt Fraction's run it's hilarious how Clint and Kate's roles are reversed in the show. In the comic, Kate's the savant heiress with her shit together and Clint's her human garbage-fire mentor who she constantly has to save (not that comic Clint's incompetent, just that he's Matt Murdock levels of self-destructive)

Well… Clint had his family to return to after in the MCU
I love the subtle jabs at Hawkeye being the least interesting avenger to many people and he’s kinda low key. In essence he’s just a family man that can fight and shoot and that’s ok. He’s not flashy and loud like the other Avengers. That’s why he got along with Natasha. She wasn’t that flashy either despite being a trained assassin.

I'm so happy Jay likes musicals too and brought up how true to form the musical number was 😂😂😂 because holy shit it was! And no one would have let him leave before it was over
Also it plays on the idea that there are other musicals that take place during times of tragedy too and how to some it's honoring but for others, very triggering

I really don't have any authority to speak on this matter other than I have a degree in technical theater and I have a musical I cannot see or talk about because it triggers my PTSD. But what I've found when I explain to people that I can't talk about my work on a show because it triggers me they are very understanding. And I'm not a celebrity and I think more people would give grace to one than a college prop master haha. So if he just said "hey. This isn't an offense for the show it was just too much to be reminded of that time" a respectable theater person would understand and try to find a solution. Whether that be to just have him wait backstage so he doesn't have to finish the show or find a more suitable exit for him so there is less embarrassment for both him and the theater.
Finally some realistic non-immediately-breaking wine bottles used in a fight!

I loved these first two episodes. Hailee is fantastic and I can’t wait for her and (hopefully) Yelena to become friends like Clint and Natasha were. Those two together, yes please!

If you remind yourselves at the end of endgame in the background you see the in the midst of the rubble and cleanup crews there were helicopters flying away with crates. I mean it make s sense for these crews that do cleanup after all these battles they find something of value to sell on the black market.

The Avengers clearly weren't all that concerned with security. They let SWORD get ahold of Vision's body and allowed scavengers to dig around in the wreckage of their compound. To be fair there was a lot going on in both situations but still, they have a lot of stuff that you wouldn't want falling into the wrong hands
20:25 - I think the answer to the question about how did they get all the auction stuff is fairly simple.
Sharon Carter. This might be a slow introduction to armor wars, especially since the Tracksuit Mafia was after Tony's watch (the one from Civil War that turned into a part of the Iron Man's armor).
That doesn't make much sense because "The Falcon and The Winter Soldier" is confirmed to take place before "Far From Home", "Hawkeye", and "No Way Home". It's more likely that someone has been stealing from the Department of Damage Control (DDOC), as it's the organization responsible for cleaning up after disasters since its inception in 2012.
@@hmdch Yeah, I mean real life has lots of destructive events result in a flood of illegal goods to rich pricks, this isn't surprising at all, especially as Clint was done with being Ronin.
Hawkeye is set 2 years after endgame not 6 days. hence the musical.
To be fair, they said 6 months, not 6 days.
Then the show shouldn’t have said present day. Seeing as present day is still before everyone came back so it gives you zero way to tell when it takes place

@@shoverload5135 No present Day in the MCU up until this point was 2023 when everyone was brought back, but yes they should have given a hint that this is set a year or more after that.
@@Terranova667 "Present Day until this point" would technically have been mid-2024, since we had Far From Home set in that summer. But they don't usually reference these events being set in "our future" since they want audiences to feel like it's happening "now".
It just works out in the long run for them, since eventually the real world will catch-up to the time frame of the post-Blip world.
I believe the unknown Damage Control mole, who kept giving Vulture their delivery routes, retrieved the Ronin gear and a bunch of other stuff and the stuff The Tinkerer (who’s still free) couldn’t turn into weapons was auctioned off here.
Just FYI because I know you guys love Broadway: the actor who plays Kate's father is Brian d'Arcy James, who originated the role of Shrek on Broadway, and was also a lead in Something Rotten!
also got to remember that this is set in like christmas 2024 or maybe even 2025 since its been "years" (plural) since ronin's last sighting. meaning that its been 12-13 years since 2012.
It's definitely set in Christmas 2024 as there's some set photos of a prop for New Year's 2025. And I'm pretty sure the news reporter meant that it has been years since Ronin was last taking down the criminal underworld in NYC. Remember in Endgame, Rhodey mentioned that Ronin had fought the cartel in Mexico and then we actually got to see him fighting the Yakuza in Japan.

Hey Jay & Adam!!!! Just wanted to say this show takes place 2 years after Endgame (NOT 6 MONTHS ) as we know it's been 2 years since Ronin was last seen.
I love that Clint was uncomfortable with it, but I also loved how happily insistent the matre' d was. "It's necessary." He's not trying to chase clout with Hawkeye, he's just grateful.
I loved it. Also, like seeing Hawkeye go through life and still missing his avenger friends.

It's not a literal 2 years from Endgame. It's actually just a bit over a year since Endgame since Hawkeye takes place during Christmas 2024. Apparently, this was confirmed by set photos of a prop for New Year's 2025.

When I used to work for Gotham Electric in NYC I had to rewire a ceiling light in the center of a million dollar crystal beaded chandelier that I had to remove piece by piece and put back together in an apartment just like that one. There's actually a lot of 2 floor penthouse apartments in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Love the reaction as usual btw.

Just want to address the PTSD issue a little bit more. What you're seeing with Clint at the musical and restaurant is what a lot of combat vets feel. There is not only the PTSD, but also survivors the survivors guilt. Happens a lot with war movies that aren't portrayed right or over Hollywoodified. Clint is especially going to have the survivors guilt with Nat, which is hard to overcome. Then the restaurant scene portrays the awkwardness of when anyone says "thank you for your service". Sometimes it's hard to put these all in perspective. But if you watch closely, the show does a pretty good job.
@pReview'd Guys it's not 6 months after the Snap. According to the producer, it's actually a year + after the Snap. It's supposed to be set on Xmas 2024. So plenty of time to do the Broadway show.

I'd honestly love to see Wilson Fisk appear in this show. It would make a lot of sense to reintroduce him in this as Ronin took down many criminal factions. Charlie Cox is the perfect casting for Daredevil so fingers crossed he makes an appearance in the future too🤞🏻 also I believe the director confirmed that this show is set one year after Endgame!
2 years. I watched the first 2 seasons of Dare Devil but never finished s3. It might be jarring to see Fisk in this But it might make sense with the vigilante/organized crime focus of the show.

The 2012 invasion of NYC is a smorgasbord of Skrull-portunities. With the city distracted you could become "billionaire philanthropist's wife" and live quite comfortably. You would only need a moment to off daddy and become the new Mrs Bishop, so I'm glad her mother didn't disappear for any weird amount of time...
Almost like went “downstairs” for like 5 minutes. So I’m pretty sure something happened, and yes they would know about the Chitari invasion, because they are known to be one of the most formidable armies in the galaxy. Or in one of the deleted scenes in Endgame where a Rocket calls them “the suckiest army in the galaxy”. Could be both in whatever planet Thanos invades.

At first I was like "wait, they said she's 25 in Hawkeye, how is she so young in 2012?" Then I remembered that in the MCU, it's 2024. So she'd be 12 or 13 in 2012. And that makes Hailee Steinfeld exactly the right age for her role too.
