    Very nice review. I never would have thought about the CRI but seeing it in this video I now realize how important it is. Great review.

    I've just replaced halogen with Bevinsee colour rated 6000k LED in my high beam. Aside from being super bright colour-wise they 100% match the Hella 6000k HID in my low beam, exactly as advertised. Easy install, no error code. Bevinsee make excellent products in my opinion. Couldn't be happier.

    I have been telling people about these bulbs since their first version in red. You Sir put up one of the best style of reviews that I've seen so far! I haven't heard anybody mention CRI nor understand what that actually is, let alone posting four examples of it side-by-side. I drive a completely built Jeep and I have some of the best & expensive lighting on it. Trying to get people to understand why is sometimes impossible. The original bevinsee bulbs were brighter than the leading brands beating out bulbs in the $250 range. GTR lighting, Morimoto, Philips, Osram, Hikaru, just to name a few. I just bought these new V45 versions and I plan on comparing it side-by-side with the first bevinsee model. I would like to thank you for your style of review as you earn an automatic subscriber!!!

    It is more dramatic with 9006 bulb 1000 lumens. It is still noticeable when I compare it with HIR2/9012 bulb 1875 lumens at 13.2V . Especially because the runnimg voltage is 14.4V in my car and make it about 2231 lumens. This bevinsee v45 is about 3500 lumens after 10 minutes and get hot. The beam pattern is good for projector headlight and has smooth wide pattern. It is noticeably brighter especially on the side.

    2nd note, kinda late for it now, but how did the LEDs hold on the car up in the snow?
    With the heat they put out, they seem like they could melt it away just as well as any halogen/tungsten bulb.

      The light unit with led bulbs will be way cooler at the front of the light it will be a bit hotter in the rear and that's what the fans are for. The difference at the front of the headlight can be 20o difference to halogen.

    Typically car runs at 13.8-14.4 V from the alternator not 12V. Only when the car is off, the battery may supply 13V or less. LED is running better in lower voltage like 12V instead of 14 V because of heat generation and throttle down the power after 10 minutes and the brightness too. So, it is normal that the wattage drop as the voltage and temperature increase.

    • @AlexLTDLX
      @AlexLTDLX 2 роки тому

      Most cars don't deliver anything close to alternator voltage at the headlight connector. There's a lot of voltage drop through the long wires and relays or switches especially in tungsten bulbs.

    • @rondhole
      @rondhole 2 роки тому

      @@AlexLTDLX yes, but they are still above 13V, not 12V. That's why OSRAM, Philips, Hella always use 13.2 V for the lumens specs not 12V

    I'm not 5 mins in the video and I have to type this. If you say the power it draws is unexpected, then you didn't do your primary school type homework. Bevinsee shows exactly all the specs on their website for any product they sell. All V45's are 120W/pair or 60W/bulb. You have to put 13.8 volt on them to test it the correct way because that's what they get when the engine is running. 60 / 13.8 = 4.35 Amps. If you power supply can go up to 14V or higher and 5A you can test them normally.
    Ok on the new PSU you tested them at 12.5V, that should be 60 / 12.5 = 4.8A. So they draw a tiny bit more but who cares. About similar to halogen.
    Oh and these are not COB chips! These are CSP-3570 chips. Better and more advanced technology then COB.
    Btw, I bought the Bevinsee V45 H4 bulbs recently but still have to put them in the car. I'm just curious about others reviews :)
    Color charts on the end was very interesting, not seen that before!

    So you're saying that instead of 6000k it looks like 4400k?

    • @AlexLTDLX
      @AlexLTDLX 2 роки тому +1

      No - I set the camera to 4,400k so you'd have a point of reference. These LEDs are bluer than 4400k, and appear so; the tungsten headlights are probably closer to 2800k and therefore appear more orange. Interestingly, as CRI improves, the "blueness" of daylight balanced light tends to "disappear" - they look less blue to us. These don't look super-blue, so it shows at least an ok color rendering. Clearly, their color rendering isn't as good as the professional LED light - which has a Yuji chip in it, so the professional LED looks even less blue and reproduces the chip chart more accurately and with relatively equal vibrance between the chips. If you look at the skin tone of my hand holding the chip chart, you can see the "real world" difference. I happen to be very pale (I prefer "melatonin challenged") so my skin tends to show blueness and orangeness in an exaggerated fashion. Hopefully this helps and doesn't add to confusion.

      @@AlexLTDLX tnx for the explanation. I ordered the V35 version (older) yesterday. Seems to have a less blue-ish colour then the V45. Also its a tiny bit smaller so perhaps I can fit the dustcap back on, and it also has a little less light output so I have less chance of bleeding above the cut-out line to not blind oncoming traffic.

    • @knightwolf200612
      @knightwolf200612 7 місяців тому

      @@AlexLTDLXOfcourse Bevinsee LED's are 'more blue' then 4400K, becuase they sell them as 6000K. Which is still more like daylight then blue. 6500K is more called slightly blue, 8000K very blue, 10000K purple.
      Personally I wish car LED's brands produce more like 4000K LED's, because specially in the dark and wet you see more details in dark areas when using halogen-like tinted headlights. Warmer tints are also easier for your eyes. So all LED brands pushing 6000K-6500K, I don't understand. I'm sure it's some technical difficulty on that brightness levels...

Contact with support was also good and professional. And then the prices are very fair, not too expensive not too cheap. And all other reviews I've seen are positive too.
