295 EUROS. Uh huh. The design isn't new. The concept isn't new. Slap some leather on it and call it amazing.
I watched many bag reviews, and finally, I found my dream bag! Honestly, I don't need all those paddings in regular backpacks. I carry about 15-20 liters of things when I travel. I'm so happy to find a bag that doesn't look big when I carry only a few items. Most importantly, it's stylish too! Thank you so much! P.S. I saw many comments complaining about the price. I was shocked as well, but then I found out that they must have heard you guys. The price is now $217 us dollars instead of 295 euros.
I agree. They also came out with an all black version which makes it look less “feminine” for those that are concerned about that. I don’t think it looks that way at all but find it super functional.

I admire the hobo-chic aesthetic of this bag, as I suspect many of your other female viewers do. It speaks to the joys of the open road, the freedom to move lightly through the world. Who am I kidding?!?? I’d probably pack the hell out of that sucker until it would be too heavy to lift off the ground.
My better self aspires to minimalist one-bag travel. But in my heart of hearts I have to confess that my ideal one-bag travel bag would have to be Hermione’s beaded bag with the Undetectable Extension Charm. I have my clothing down to 1 large, 1 medium and 1 small Eagle Creek packing cubes (about 5 lbs total) but it’s all the other stuff that literally weighs me down - camera, first aid kit, sewing kit, travel towel, guidebook, reading book, travel docs etc., etc., etc. I have no doubt I could fit it all in the Baluchon but it would be massive. No way would it qualify for carry-on.
I’ve resigned myself to accepting that I am a two-bag traveller. I’m still in search of the perfect backpack plus personal item combination. I’d consider trying this bag as a personal item if it weren’t for the hefty €295 ($347 USD; $450 CAD) price tag. If that bag has the usual French quality and attention to detail that you’ve described I’m sure it’s worth it. Some of the froufrou big name status brand handbags I see women toting around cost that much and then some. It’s just that at that price, the Baluchon is way out of my budget. The search continues . . .

Not sure if you do requests, but it would be awesome if you could review the Code of Bell X-Pak slings. They're like a mix between Tom Bihn and AER SF in terms of pockets and materials, but in sling form. Can't find any reviews anywhere!

I really enjoy hobo bags I just kinda wish the ones I already have had some built in padding only at the bottom . I use cosmetic bags to hold my items because I just don’t like purse organizers .

As an aside, that kind of design has been out there in Indonesia for maybe around 20 years if not more, just without the leather details. I had one once, and the material allowed it to be packed into itself the size of a playing card. Great for shopping.
