Sounds pretty great. Love the bass, even tortoise-shell Rick 4001s look cool lol
how come your bass doesn't clack even though your hitting the strings hard? Mine clacks if I don't treat it with the upmost sensitivity.
It likely depends on the gauge of your strings and your action height. If your bass strings are lower tension and lowered down, when the string vibrates it has a higher chance of bouncing off the frets which makes it clack. If you alter the angle at which you attack the strings, it should help, but perhaps consider going to a higher gauge and raising your action.
Fwiw, my bass strings are flexible but have a solid tension (I use medium gauge tapewounds). If you also use a short scale bass, some of those are usually set up pretty floppy, though you can definitely make those same adjustments to get a tension closer to a long scale bass.
What kind of bass is that?
@@flattleyguitarpedals4694 i know its a rick but I’ve never seen one like that
That is one bad ass looking/sounding Rick
Mmmmmmmah...

Octave up? I didn't hear any "octave up", just a little more brightness. And I'm using headphones!
You def my guy
I'm with ya, it sounds like a treble boost and not an octave up
analog octave up is never an octave up.
