Dreamcatcher being called ‘The face of rock in Kpop’ for a reason. I’m glad that they still incorporate rock into their music, and I hope that it continues as well. I’m so happy that we got to hear their iconic rock sound again in Bonvoyage
Rarest genre not just in k-pop but the whole industry: Dreamcatcher-Boca(Reggeton/Mombatton remix with metal) Dreamcatcher-Lock InSide a Door(RnB funk-Jazz+Rock)
That song definitely sound the most metal I have ever heard in kpop, can't wait for some screams, but Nu metal will probably work well in kpop especially combining with good rap verse
Dreamcatcher’s Maison is a better example of nu metal; the genre usually has very different instrumentation from what’s in the video (Linkin Park is a classic example).
Amazing video! So helpful in classifying what I’m hearing. I just got into K-pop approx six weeks ago and I’m having the time of my life exploring on UA-cam! It’s so much more fun than just listening to samples on iTunes. It does not serve K-pop very well because there’s often a mix of fast and slow music within the same song, which is not often done in western music. Also, the creativity of K-pop videos is an amazing treat to discover! I love the videos which just have the dance choreography as well! Thank you! I will have to watch more of your videos very soon! I’m only sorry that I can only subscribe once! 😍
omg i've been wanting someone to make a video like this. thank you 💝 i also like the commentary at the bottom of the screen, i hope you do that more often
As a fellow hands up enjoyer, you have no idea how much my eyes lit up when that came up 😭 I need more K-pop/hands up combinations in my life. DJ Hyo - the man, not Hyoyeon - also does a lot of hands up tracks, and that's his main sound, but something about his songs also remind me of 2nd-gen K-pop, which just tickles my brain perfectly. "Mr DJ" and "This Is The Night" are probably some of his best works.
Hope that you can make a video explaining what halftime/neurohop is, it's my first time knowing this genre exists although I really love Skinz but I thought it was hyperpop because of the beat change
What's the difference between G-House and Hip House? Last time i checked your video about Hip Hop subgenres in Kpop, you put both Wa da da and Gingamongayo in Hip House subgenre. Now in this video, you put them in G-House.
Some songs can have a multiple genre at once. So it can fit to another genre also Hip house basically just house genre that involves rapping more than singing. Subgenre of that house can be G-House, Future House, Bass House, etc. G-House is a deep, dark form of house music that primarily incorporates rap samples or original rapping on top of minimal, bassy beats
Dreamcatcher literally used every existing genre in their discography until now lol.

Can we talk about Heavy Metal too? I feel like it worked SO WELL in Guerrilla - Ateez
Yessss, and in guerrilla flag version too!

we really need more hardstyle and nu metal in kpop 😚👌🏻
How about a video on rnb subgenres with an explanation, i think that would be very interesting?
