Len Deighton one of my favourite authors. His books need to be read for the details of the places the heroes visit and the food they describe. I had a Len Deighton Cookbook for a long time. Not just gourmet restaurants.
You may already know this but you can get large print books from your local library. Or maybe try a kindle e book reader where you can adjust the font to your own needs.
It was very difficult to follow all the back stabbing. Who was stabbing who and why etc. What I did understand was that the plot was not about right and wrong but about who was willing to pay the highest price to get the bad man on their side, to continue doing bad things to people. Sickening really and I hope things are better these days with the way these forces of law, order and whatever you're having yourself, work together. But somehow I think it's probably worse than back then. I'd love to be wrong.
Oi ! ...did you know... Michael Caine played Harry Palmer in the film version ? You're only supposed to blow the blahdy doors off ! !.......oops ! Wrong film...
thanks for the upload - really enjoyed listening to it.

Goodbye Mickey Mouse was my favourite.
Great radio production. Very entertaining. Thank you very much.
Great movie with fantastic music. Thanks
I loved the opening music👍🏻a minor peace🌿
Very different story than the film. Very well done
Wall to wall sound effects, love it
Excellent, thanks for putting this up. Loved the film - taken to see it as a small child - scared the bejesus out of me.
Takes a few liberties with the novel, but also blends in some of the best bits of the film, so a very good audio version - on its own terms.
@greentambourine2323

Enjoyed this but felt one had to follow the story line closely. Great cast.

Doi detect a hint of the north in the agent's accent?
Hmmmm…I’m still pondering over what I just heard. Maybe it’s going to take another try. 🤔
Well, I gave it another try and gave it the hook.😩
WHY THE LOAD MUSIC WHY !!!?????
HARRY Palmer as a Northerner?
NO. NO. NO.
He is from Burnley Lancashire in the original novel.
Michael Caine played a Geordie in
Get Carter : he didn't even attempt the accent . Probably wise..?
From Burnley as written by Deighton

Why can't I see this movie, please? I only have audio.
It's an audio dramatisation for BBC radio.
Took me a minute to figure that out too.

He was from Burnley Lancashire in the original novel.
Not a lot of people know that ...?
( In cockney accent . )
From Burnley as written by Deighton tha knows
No movie here. Scam
Which probably explains the words “drama” and “publication date” in the headings.
It's a BBC radio play, not the film.
Boring.
