I was looking for a video where I could actually tell the difference this thing makes and whatever you used to record did a great job. Also your video makes me miss my 93 eg SI. It was my second car back in 98 when I was just 16 years old. Clean hatch! I'm looking to put this subwoofer in a 2013 Scion xB and I think this will do exactly what I'm looking to do. Thanks for the video.
During the making of the video I wanted to make sure people could hear the difference this subwoofer makes. I tried to use different type of music to display the subwoofer characteristics and bass output. My 93 civic had been with me since the the early 2000s and yes she is in great shape. I personally think the JBL Basspro Hub will sound very good in a XB. If you end up buying the Basspro Hub I recommend adjusting the audio settings in the radio before you judge the sound output. For example my setup sounds best when I take away most of the bass threw the audio settings in the radio, but that may be different for you. Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe.🔊🔊🔊🔊
Hello and thanks for watching. You will enjoy the JBL BassProHub. My recommendation is to play with the audio settings on the head unit and subwoofer before you judge the BassProHub. The subwoofer makes a big difference to all music and especially when it’s installed in a hatchback. I also recommend watching the part 1 video I made on the BassProHub. Again thanks for watching and please like and subscribe.🔊🔊🔊
@@beorange2000 Yes that battery being located in the center of the trunk definitely makes it a no go for the bassprohub. Without that threaded center point it would make it difficult to mount the subwoofer as intended. Thanks for watching.
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Before I made the video my thoughts were to demonstrate the BassProHub in a manner that anyone could get an idea what it may sound like with the type of music they listen to, so I picked what I thought was the most common genres of music. Hello and thanks for watching. I do believe I experienced the problem you mentioned when I first had the BassProHub installed. Long story short I came to the conclusion that the BassProHub doesn’t like too much line drive, or in other words a strong signal from your head unit. When I first setup the BassProHub I had the subwoofer output volume on the stereo high and didn’t turn up the bass knob on the BassProHub much and it seemed ok until I wanted to play it loud and then noticed the subwoofer would cut out. So again long story short my fix was running less subwoofer output from my head unit (stereo) and using the bass knob more if I wanted more bass. I recommend giving that a try. Try turning down the amount of subwoofer output on the head unit (car stereo). Just play with the subwoofer output amount on the head unit. It may take more then one try, again just keep playing with it and try to use a song you like that has decent bass and wouldn’t mind repeating. Repeating a song for me helped me figure out if the song was still cutting out and if it did I would give it less subwoofer output on the head until I noticed it stopped cutting out, I hope this helps your issue. Thanks for watching and please like and subscribe.🔊🔊🔊
