*ALWAYS BE SURE TO SEEK OFFICIAL GUIDENCE FROM THE NWS AND OR THE NHC IN THE CASE OF A DANGEROUS OR LIFE THREATENING EVENT*
this is the longest developing snow storm in history.
You mentioned in your video, Virginia being your neck of the woods.....that's where I am located, SWVA. I am a winter lover and a storm watcher. I watch the models every single day, multiple times a day, and to say I feel so robbed this February is an understatement! I pray your "feeling" for the GFS on the 10th is correct! Every time I watch the models and see the amount of snow the NE is going to get, I cringe because we are just going to get flooded. Thank you for what you do, my dream job!
As someone in Bedford, VA, I definitely agree, we've been so robbed. Here's to hoping next week checks out!
Let's go Euro!! Let it snow!! Let's go!! Massive Snow!!
I live in Delaware county pa. Last 2 storms were supposed to get 5 inches from each storm. We got one inch from east storm . Those models are way off half the time.
I’m in Mount Laurel NJ I feel your pain.
West Deptford and same!! SO FRUSTRATING!
Are the models off or is adding “Big Snow” in your description a good was to get BIG VIEWS?!?
Ik its funny in a way you gotta laugh
When it comes to snow forecasting, models are extremely nebulous. Especially when you live near large bodies of water. There are too many factors that affect snow totals for there to be any real accuracy.
I'm still waiting for the big snowstorm that they predicted in November; weather forecasting is a joke.
We actually got hit with one in November and it knocked out power for like 4 days, I'm in NEPA. That storm gave us like 5-6" of the absolute HEAVIEST snow I've ever shoveled.
Spectacular amount of storms and snow in the NYC to Hudson Valley area. 😮
how much snow is in nyc right now?
To be honest with you even though this pattern looks stormy for sure there are indications that this may not go how us snow lovers want it to. I do not like the fact how the main computer models are latching into the idea of a deeper trough in the west that goes negative earlier. This would imply that most of the East Coast with the exception of upstate New York and Vermont and New Hampshire and Maine, would mainly be a slight mix at the onset and then soaking cold rain events. We need to see how the pattern evolves as each storm will dictate what happens with the next. The Tuesday system has changed in a big way mostly sliding underneath much of I95 with just a brush a very light snow. Wednesday system looks to be a few hours of snow at the beginning then over to rain and same with the weekend system for next weekend although perhaps the weekend system may have a bit more cold air. I don't see any huge snowfalls at this time, just some 1-3 or 2-4 inch kinda deals with some soaking rains possible. Don't want to crush the dreams of the snow lovers as I am one myself but from what I see it looks a little more on the disappointing side but still some snow at least to enjoy.
I keep getting snow non stop 30 miles away bone dry. Strange
I do hate southeast Pennsylvania anymore it seems like there's always a bubble over us to keep us from getting exciting weather it seems
TY, appreciate your work...
OK, I need more❄️❄️ Fredericksburg, Virginia
the weather app had 17-20''' of snow for CT on the 16th, that's far out but still insane if it happens.
What does it say for Long Island???
@@UA-camsucks7772-4 inches from AccuWeather… they are usually spot on!
Not sure at all about anything near that and that system is not even on the map yet. Keep in mind the weather app is either connected to one model or a blend of models and when each run changes so do they because they are preloaded with icons and printouts. I just need snow in Maryland
Delaware county pa it's always sleet ice or snow changing to rain. Never fails. I think we have a grand total of 2 inches. WOW
I'm in South Jersey, it's so annoying!!
Always.
Yea right, south jersey never gets snow anymore @jennyk9748
19:10 cannot forget about March 2018, there were a total of 4 nor'easters throughout the month impacting New England and part of the mid atlantic, and 2 of them were quite severe. I will never forget that time, it wasn't easy to push through, and a similar pattern to that unfolding again concerns me. The closer range storms aren't very strong, but that big one next weekend is really concerning.
Get prepared for the worst and you will be alright
i remember a march 2018 snowstorm hitting around lunchtime in south central pa. was awesome bc we knew it was coming so when the first snow started falling it was confirmation that we were gonna get out of school early😂
I’ll never forget that march 2018 about 3ft of snow from a storm
The GFS model would be amazing for us here in NYC. We literally have gotten basically no snow and I need at least one or two big snow events before winter is over. As always thank you for your expert analysis! Can't wait to see it all unfold!
Depends on the way the systems all play out because one will dictate the other. Right now there are some indications that NYC might not be in the game for most of these systems as far as snow. There will be some and I think the best shot is tonight for a 2-4 inch snowfall. After that the thing that's bothering me is the trough and how deep and early it becomes negatively tilted. If that does happen, many of these systems will cut west and bring NYC several cold soaking rain events which could be very unfortunate.
Here in Southern Indiana we've gone from 6+" yesterday to practically nothing on the models today... I give up..
Just when you drop your guard.........16 inches!!!!
I live in Central Ohio they do this alot lol you should have seen the one about 4 days ago lmao they had us at 37.3 inches
Let's go bayville NJ!!!!!
Manahawkin here bro
Don't worry. When this very cold, snowy winter has passed, the "experts" will confidently declare that it was the warmest on record.
Because... climate change, amirite? I remember a REALLY cold winter right after the last time Trump won too. It's like the deep state was in so much shock, that they forgot about cloud seeding that year. I mean, I'm half joking, but it makes you wonder.
Yay more snow for southern Illinois
I hope the GFS is right
gfs is usually more accurate but this will change daily
Well then not much is going to happen now lmao.
Some new indications are this may not go the way us snow lovers want. The Euro is way warmer with these systems and the track is cutting west. GFS is warmer than earlier as well. May not be that big of a deal and could very well be mixes at the onset to soaking cold rain events and nothing more.
wow !! again ?? two times in one year ?? amazing.
29:40 hopefully we get the GFS model. I want some snow on Long Island New York this year. Be nice to get a couple feet of snow 😢
Yeah the gfs is barely showing 8 inches for those 32 inch areas now lmao.
Right no with latest indications it doesnt look that great, lot of chilly rains if the trends continue.
why does it seem like a lot of storms collapse or split around west central indiana and them come back together or refire further east.
To many years of these models telling me Northwest Ohio is going to get 20+ inches measured snow records begin in the 1880’s around these parts. We have never gotten 20+ in that time.. are yearly snow avg is 38 inches.
It's Like The Day After Tomorrow Possible Hurricane Blizzard Freezing Air
The Cold air is going to push the southern rig out for a while
ridge*
@@Shadow-hw3kn I had a stroke sometimes I sometimes I miss spell certain words
It was like this in 2006 in New Hampshire cold and feet of snow. I plowed for about 70 hours straight it was rough!!!
Good evening how are you doing tonight I hope you're doing well I'm looking at you from Columbia South Carolina and I want to know the the southern states have one more chance of a snow storm
These models suck for northern Indiana… again 😭😭😭😭 lord. I just want some winter weather 😤😤
I’m ready for the arrival of Spring can’t wait for the first warm sunny day I can’t wait to see the snow melt please go away Winter! More snow fell on the ground today it snows all the time and I hate it! Next week will bring more sub zero temperatures as low as -15 beginning on Sunday! I’m really sick of Winter I’ve been sick of it since day one! I can’t wait for the day when warmer temperatures finally arrive I wish it was Spring/Summer already!
You could always move 🤔
Don’t say that! We need more snow!! lol
One thing you can definitely say for sure is that the Polar Vortex is going to blow the Climate Prediction Center's forecast for the second month in a row 😂😂😂. Can't have a chance for snow in Southeastern Virginia with "warmer than average" temperatures in February
Why do you have phily in with big snow bands when it's not in the models it newyork and north
richmond va. I doubt we will see a lot of snowfall
Charleston wv all the saying rain and flooding no big snow here
I’ll take some of your rain in the northern panhandle.
I never saw so much snow on a model run. The GFS weakens the southeast ridge so some of the storms CAN NOT cut to the Midwest!!
I never saw so much snow on a model run.The GSF weakens the southeast ridge so some of this storms will cut to the midwest!
Nice to see that you learned some geography. I’ve never heard you mention the Tennessee Valley, and you always seem a little stumped at what to call our region of the south. Better late than never.
Both Euro and GFS Snowfall total Maps should be Criminal and NOT ALLOWED! (Especially this GFS) I will say it ONE LAST TIME, PITTSBURGH IS NOT GETTING more than 2”+ of SNOW! I would bet anything on it! Northern State of Pa and Mountains maybe some decent to a lot of snow is more possible but the SOUTHERN parts of Pa will be mostly all rain during these 4-5 systems and some flurries scattered snow in some cases. Dont know how these models can have such a discrep within its own Data (ie from showing the model guidences track of storms and its precip in contrast with their own Snowfall total maps?) delusional and pisses me the Effff offff
lol how are these maps criminal when they aren't forecasts and he makes that clear in every video. Anything more than a few days out is just showing what could potentially happen. Both models showed multiple snow storms possibly going through with heavy snow over PA and if all of them actually happened like the models show they could, Pittsburgh and the rest of PA would end up with far more than 2" of snow. I don't know what discrepancies you're seeing but I'm not seeing what you are. Also the snowfall maps are showing how much snow could fall, not how much will be left on the ground. They're also going to change every day when the new models come out. I'm in Cambria county and so far this year they've been pretty accurate for my area. Worry more about what they show happening over the next few days and the snowfall maps they show as each storm is about to happen as those will be most accurate. If you're going to allow content like this to piss you off then maybe don't watch it. Only watch channels that show just the immediate forecast and nothing further than 3 to 5 days out. It's crazy to allow something like this to get you that upset that you comment about it more than once on the same video.
@Xessa82, You will see it when nothing happens like usual here in Pittsburgh!
Seriously, what is happening with the piedmont of NC not getting any snow. I don't understand lol
Da south needz more snow. Raleigh got 2.2 inches but we needz more 😅
Just let that storm around the 22nd fall a little south for us here in NC!
Good ol GFS having its nonsense Southeast Biased lmao
