Celebration Key looks beautiful! The lagoon looks incredible! I wander if Jubilee will go there in the future from Galveston? Sounds like a great place. We all know that Carnival brand does not have any more new ships on order past the Jubilee yet, I'm just wandering once they do start ordering new ships, if they will break over the 200k gross tonnage barrier and build bigger than the Excel class? I wish they would reconsider the Pinnacle project! Great video Brandon!
With Jubilee being their newest ship I’m sure they will try to get her over there at least a few times, especially if they already have plans of getting Dream over there. I’m very interested to see what they do next, I believe they did announce no new builds until 26 or 27 while they recover from all their covid debt. I’d love to see them try to go for 200k tons. I think the Excel class is almost a modern day version of that project, I’d love to see it fully revived though but to today’s standards. Hard to believe that is now a 20 year old project. I love that they carry concepts over into future ships still even today.
@@CruisingIsLifeI would like to see that as well. The Pinnacle was definitely a cool design, and a new updated version would be awesome to see. The Excel class is pretty sweet though, and look forward to seeing the Jubilee in person in January. Probably would not take much to build a Excel plus class, and make it to 200k or more!
So I'm from Florida and we have man-made lagoons here called Mirada lagoons. Take a look at them because it definitely looks like the large body of water could be like the ones with Mirada.
Good Video and analysis. I went on Google Maps to see if I could find any evidence of construction. I don't see any. The time stamp says 2024 but I am not sure if it is the date of the image or the date they posted it. I think it should be around or east of Peterson Beach.
Judging from that artist's rendering, I suspect that the slides pictured will be free to use, similar to the one at Amber Cove. If they build a really BIG waterpark then I'm sure it will cost as much as CocoCay's...which isn't cheap. Carnival does a better job overall at building port destinations, I think. Amber Cove and Grand Turk, both Carnival-built ports, are really awesome, in sharp contrast to Royal's port at Falmouth (yech). And despite the tendering issue, I love Half Moon Cay. Such a beautiful white sand beach.
I definitely agree, Im interested to see if they do build a waterpark to try competing. Ive been hearing about royal possibly adding more slides to the waterpark at coco. Amber Cove and Grand Turk are definitely some of the best cruise line built destinations, carnival definitely does it better in that sense.
Thank for sharing Any idea of the time frame the Ship will stay in port on its visit to Celebration Key , Will we still be able to go in to Freeport on the same Sailing?
I don’t think they will visit both celebration key and Freeport in the same cruise as they are only a few miles apart on the same island. As far as the timeframe, I’m sure it will be similar to how Royal handles coco cay, ships are always there 8am-5pm
The sad thing about all these cruise lines building on the Bahama islands. They are junking them up. MSC did a good job of at least not making theirs not so commercialized at their island ocean cay.
So I guess with the opening of Celebration Key, Carnival will discontinue a stop at the normal Freeport dock. Also this private area seems similar to Labadee.
Carnival needs to allow you to use your drink package on their private islands like Royal does.
Hopefully they do! It would make sense especially if competitors do it that way
It does at half moon cay
@@LoveIsLoveTravels i was in half moon and they didn't take the drink package on the island
Agree! They have a 15 day max so why does it matter if it’s used on the ship or their island?!
@@LoveIsLoveTravelsI paid for my drinks last month. Carnival doesn’t offer that option at their private islands.

Already booked a Transatlantic on the Mardi Gras in 2025. One of the stops on its way back to America will be Celebration Key!
I wonder how much extra it will be
I think carnival should do a theme park with universal studios type attractions. Go on a cruise and disney like vacation (carnival style).
They are also putting a ski chair lift in like Carnival did in Amber Cove

Just so you know, this is not the first island Carnival has made their own Port

The sad thing is everything is about selling on these new island ports, I remember the day that these islands were more natural
Why did you say they took notes from Royal Caribbean about building a dock?
Now, if your drink package works at Celebration Key, then they may have something.
I would think so, thats how they do it on Coco, it would make sense!

We booked a 2025 cruise on Carnival Celebration and it's currently set to be at Celebration Key 8am-5pm.

Right they will most likely stop going to Freeport, this area is only a few miles away on the same island though.
@CruisingIsLife will other Carnival Corp lines use the port or will it be exclusive to Carnival only?
I hope they do remove Freeport…I don’t even get off the boat at Freeport😂😂
