Sorry for being THAT guy, but Semi-Auto means your gun fires a single round and then automatically chambers the next round for you without firing it off even if you don’t let go of the trigger, while burst-fire means that your gun will fire fully auto for a set number of rounds (usually 3) and then stop firing at ven with the trigger engaged, and full auto means it’ll keep firing until you let go of the trigger or the mag is empty..or the gun jams. Other than that, keep up the good work :)
It helps to understand weapons and how they work especially in a game like this. I am sure a lot of people don't understand basic things and are appreciative of the sharing of info.
Excellent, excellent video Renfail!! Very professional. I only recently found your channel and I’m so thankful for it. I love this guide. Keep these coming. Definitely one of the best gaming channels I’ve come across. Love the detailed guides. Much needed among all those “other” gaming channels.
It’s really great your coverage of the game is on console vs everyone else being on pc nothing wrong with that just not everyone has a pc or even a top tier pc to play games like this
Usually you will have three types of ammunition: subsonic (low power/slower/quieter), standard ammunition, and either high power or armor piercing ammunition.
Burst fire mode isn't 'semi automatic'. Single shot mode is semi automatic- one shot per trigger pull. Burst fire is just burst fire, 3 shots per trigger pull. It's an intermediate fire rate between the other two.
@@Renfail No "Thanks, TIL something?" Semi automatic fire mode is always one trigger pull, one bullet fired. Calling burst mode 'semi automatic' just points out you don't know anything about guns. But i still like your vids, just trying to educate.
The game is better than I thought it would be. BUT....if I can just hold off my playthrough until optimization patches are done, the game will be amazing. I've played all the stalker games and this version has great potential. Just wait until the modders start working on it!!!
If you want to go further into the rabbit hole, learn what weapons in the game are based on in real life. The GP37 in real life is heckler and Koch g36 and SL8. This is my favorite assault rifle from previous Stalker games. Haven't seen it yet in my current playthrough as I'm waiting on some patches before I progress.
You can already know what ammo type you have loaded based on the box image on the bottom right. Every caliber has a standard color pattern on the box for each type. Usually light colors with no shading is fmj and dark shaded banner is armor piercing. Some calibers have flat or expansive type which has its own pattern.
Noob question regarding “unique” weapons…what exactly makes them “unique”? Are the base stats better or different on unique weapons vs their base counterparts? Or is what makes them “unique” simply that you get them already with an attachment?
Renfail thank you for these types of videos very helpful! Can you do a video on blueprints for weapons and equipment? When I pick up a blueprint, I am not sure where it is listed if at all in my tutorial or inventory screens so hard to remember which ones I have etc.

So don't be that guy. It's a video game :)
Interesting....I honestly didn't know the difference..nicely said

Great info!
You can also switch the rate of fire by clicking the Y button (switch weapon) on xbox while ADS.

Most of the games I cover I will do the console version if it's available. I really try not to use my gaming PC unless it's a PC exclusive.

Love your balanced and informative content, thanks for all the advice
Happy to help!

This guy is awesome!! New sub 👍
Thanks! Welcome aboard!
Good morning good sir, stalker 2 is freaking amazing so far
Indeed

Well lemme tell you the FN2000 and AN94 isn’t in this game
@@imLeyt0n That sucks! 2 great guns
yeah that's not a rabbit hole I care to dive into. I don't need to know RL guns to play a video game :)
Thank you for making this video, I've been wondering how the hell do I switch ammo for the weapon I'm using!
Welcome!
I really needed this video! I’m actually going to restart my playthrough because I feel I screwed up to much
Enjoy!
I did the same. I used my ammo in a bad way in first playthrough. Second is going much better
Awesome thank you
You bet!

Not everyone is a hardcore stalker who can know what ammo is based on the box image/color pattern.
That tiny image is hard to distinguish in some ammo. I wish they made it more visible.

AFAIK it's just with attachments
thank you

I don't think the blueprints are listed anywhere atm. As far as I can tell, once you pick them up you "know them".
Great video, thanks.
Glad you liked it!
Love the VSS but ammo for it in the starter locations is nil. im in Garbage atm and nothing same for SVD
Very good channel!
It's nice to see something nice in the sea of mediocrity.. I hope you'll gain more subscribers ; ) Cheers!
every day is a new day
It's so funny they named the tavor "ak" and it shoots 545 but clearly has a 556 magazine 😅
I guess you have to be a gun fanatic to know that? I play games for fun, so no idea about gun types =P
Fort-221 ("Fora" in-game) is Ukrainian licenced version of Tavor. It has both 5.45 and 5.56
👍🏽
