Cobie is so good. So experienced, knowledgeable and so entertaining.

This is one of my favorite episodes. Discussion was engaging and thorough. Even with different views they understood each other’s perspective, at the minimum they took the time to listen.
Udi just assumes everyone is sifting through Twitter and other forum posts to research issues most people don’t even know are issues, let alone possible exploits. I think he’s just plain dismissive of criticism and it’s not a healthy position
Great conversation. Allen's perspective was deeply philosophical, and I wish the other interviewees addressed his points. Specifically how a blockchain requires a token, which IS money, to function, and the implications of that.
Exactly. The general public and casual participants in this space are not aware of the pre-mine at all , and very few folks are aware of how massive it was. Its a crucial message to get out there because it completely discredits Ethereum as a decentralized project.
Peter this was a great episode!!! well done.......all the guys had respect and great ideas to add......I especially appreciate Alex's thoughts.....keep it real. thanks
Thanks so much for this. I would really appreciate it, as a long-time Bitcoin hodl’r (since 2013), and short-term altcoin gambler, if you could address some of the specific issues surrounding some of the top ten coins. I get the problems with XRP and Cardano, for instance, but there were some private jokes or insinuations amongst the group in regards to Solana and Avalanche, both of which I hold. I totally believe in Bitcoin in the long-term, and I would love it if some guests came on the show with more specific criticisms of specific altcoins. Thanks for considering, and keep up the good work. Love your show!
Bitcoin vs the rest is an eternal September situation. It's not that ethereum is any less garbage since its 2017 state. It's just that new people need proper explanation why that's so.
A question to everyone on the panel, when major software companies like singularity foundation ( A real AI company with real products like sofia) says yes cardano (or something like cardano) has a use case and they spend years developing on it, all of this information should be dismissed and labeled vaporware because you guys cant wrap your head around the code?
This was most informative , showing the differences here between bitcoin and the rest. Also made me see why SEC is looking to attack those projects , The VC using / sucking money from retail investors , I have no idea how this is going to play out but take your alt coin profits and DCA into bitcoin as it wins out in the end. Pete we need more like this please .
Funny I used to like both cardano and xrp. They were a larger portion of my portfolio compared to bitcoin. You are so right I was one of those people who fell for the marketing and I thought bitcoin was a bad/outdated technology. If bitcoin had a larger voice and a more united front, I think I would have picked up the signal sooner that bitcoin was changing the monetary system. Pomp and Michael Saylor are great advocates.
The guy who says no one cares right at the start is a hero. The best thing about this pod is the fact he is there. No one cares. Most people in eth have a btc allocation as well, they don't give a stuff about these guys saying blockchain only does money. Meanwhile people are investing in ticketing systems, collectibles, lots of industries with basically blockchain companies that will just register if they need to according to whatever new regulations they impose, and do business on blockchain and benefit holders if it works.
Peter i bought ledger because of you. I appreciate they sent a replacement but so far i have 2 defective units :( 1 from California, 2nd from France. Love this podcast! I’m a fan! You’re doing the Lord’s work! Keep Building! 💪🏻
Cheers - and his toxicity is so pleasant it’s not even worth discussing. Perhaps Peter should consider a revisit with Mr. Saylor on this topic if he’s so interested…
This was a great discussion. Fair and balanced critical thinking about this space and the dichotomy that is happening between the various 'camps'. We should all at least be able to recognize that those in bitcoin and crypto at large are trying to build a better future without banks.
I think the attitude that bitcoin maxis need to protect people is a worrying one, as kind of came up in the conversations over ICO’s it sounds a little bit too like the current system, in which protection and safety (for investors) is really about control and privileged access by/for elites. If you don’t have the freedom to lose money, you don’t have the freedom to make money.
Peter im looking at 20k+ views with only 900 likes. WTF you need to tell your viewers to smash up that damn like button! This info is to important not to get out to as many people as possible! anyway just wanted to say im a big fan and to keep up the good content.
Hearing maxis saying that bitcoin is the best form of money is like hearing Peter Schiff saying that gold is the best form of precious rock… The thing is that Ethereum, Cardano, Solana… (and most of the altcoins except LTC, BTH…) NEVER wanted to be just like Bitcoin, and never wanted to be just a store of value. You end up having the exact same problem that our loved Peter Schiff has with gold, you just see crypto as an investment and not as a technology. Let’s put it this way: Gold is the best kind of gold. Bitcoin is the best kind of Bitcoin. Ethereum is the best kind of Ethereum. And Parmesan is the best kind of cheese. Trying to compare things that are so different with the bias of merely an investment is not even intelligent.
Very interesting discussion. I’m not a maximalist by any means but love the purpose and goal of Bitcoin. I’m also fascinated by other projects such as ETH, which isn’t intended to be a replacement to Bitcoin. Are some on this panel just taking an altruistic approach to save people from their own ignorance with investing in anything other than Bitcoin or do they just feel threatened by ideas? Also, on the one hand some maximalists suggest that all other tokens are just scams but on the other they say we are going to do what they do, but even better on the Bitcoin chain. The argument is a bit confusing.
Good one nice to hear these guys points of view. I have a question no one seems to be asking, what happens to Bitcoin if the fed starts to buy up all of Bitcoin, its like 9 hundred billion at to days price so for a money printing machine very cheap.
Absolutely LOVE this exchange!! I'm basically a Bitcoin maxi, but nothing here was offensive to that belief. The quality of thought and the respect given broadened my perspective. Kudo, guys, for bringing your best game!
The time horizon argument is really silly. Hal Finney literally thought Bitcoin would be unscalable and that all Bitcoin would be custodied by banks who would issue their own private currencies backed by Bitcoin to settle small transactions. If Hal can't foresee this stuff, I have serious doubts anyone anyone on this call can accurately see what the next 10 years for Bitcoin holds and whether stuff built on other blockchains can be built on Bitcoin successfully. Liquid being down for a full day now seems to suggest it won't be that easy.
Glad to hear a discussion like this happening on a maxi channel. There's a lot more that could be followed up on from here too, without straying from the core focus of the podcast. One thing that i noticed during the whole memecoin phase early on this year was this kind of generation gap forming which i think is something that needs to be addressed. If handled well, there could be a useful dialogue to be had there.
Udi. How is it hubris to say something as obvious that state actors with malice ( of which there are plenty) won’t attack protocols that are vulnerable. It’s naive to say otherwise.
Alex Gladstein and Peter are so wrong about crypto and what is coming for the future that is actually sad. Also interesting to see that they think everyone else is dumb and they are the smart ones by only believing BTC will succeed.
I don’t agree 100% with Cobie on the „people are trading for Dollar, BTC and ETH only“ part. I think people are actually trading to buy more ADA too. I know I am. 5,5% interest per year for staking AND keeping it liquid at the same time during a bear market is incentive enough. Great conversation though, even though I can’t understand that those obviously intelligent people still can’t see what Cardano is doing. I guess they just hate Hoskinson. Anyway
That was some of the best bitcoin content and most thoughtful discussion about the subject I have ever heard on any podcast. What a service you provide Peter. Thank you I will say that fellow Udi was repetitive and a bit irritating although obviously smart.
I recently had two 16 yr old young men over to help with some gardening work. Both were complete strangers. i asked them about Bitcoin, if they were familiar, what were their thoughts. They said they have crypto but think of Bitcoin as grandpa's money. They said they go to a school of 3000 students and they don't know anyone who talks about Bitcoin...just alts.
Kind of funny how quickly some guys have started sounding like old legacy investors like Warren Buffet talking about Bitcoin. Everything that's not Bitcoin is rat poison squared.
bitcoin maxi's have the exact playbook in every debate. its not "decentralized enough" and probably cant think of a scenario where it will be decentralized enough because its not bitcoin. Plus everyone in this space, the goal is to make money. its totally disingenuous to act like making isnt the primary goal. All the work on bitcoin and the thing to brag about it we can now start tipping is not really something to brag about after years and years of developing.
Not aware of Ethereum premine. Sounds like friends and family. Also did not know that Bitcoin had a wallet till Jack Mallers came on television. Ethereum maximalist kept talking of all coins are going to zero and Bitcoin has no future. Apparently it does. Funnily Cardano maxis say all coins going to zero and even Algorand say that. I have invested in quite a few of these but now realizing Bitcoin has a great future.
Udi's straw man is "everyone knows". No, this is precisely the point. NOT everybody knows - well informed OGs and traders do, but altcoin noobs have no effin idea.
This fiat monetary system has destroyed our lives here in Africa. Bitcoin is the only way out and to hearing Udi talk like Altcoins are needed or can help people is disgusting. Get out of your safe space and look at what centralization had done.
Great comment. I have huge empathy for folks who find themselves in a hyper-inflationary environment.. but fiat has in reality destroyed lives everywhere. Even in the west, there are so many people stuck on a treadmill of endless debt and consumption because fiat distorts time preferences and discourages savings. Listening to altcoin promoters and apologists gaslighting people about bitcoin and pumping shitcoins using dishonest arguments is indeed 'disgusting'.
Udi... just because you say something and snicker at the end of it, or throughout whatever you say, that does not make it more valid, "well I didn't say it did (scornfully snickers)..." exactly.
Great discussion. I really appreciate Udi being devil's advocate toward BTC maxis. But I have to take issue with the notion that the ETH pre-mine is irrelevant. It is essential for everyone, including newbies, to understand that the ETH founders and hang-arounds have big bags that they want to pump. And in immediate response to the Tesla energy Fud earlier this year there were a lot of people cynically touting ETH and ADA in particular as "green" alternatives" to BTC not only as blockchain ecosystems, but as stores of value. Those big ETH bag holders had a personal financial interest in that narrative and I didn't hear any of them disputing it. Basically, any coin with a pre-mine is no different from a venture startup corporation and it cannot be a decentralized and immutable store of value. Udi is way too soft on this point.
very interesting arguments for each side but mostly a dialogue of the deaf. How to put a triangle in a circle ? Not possible. Let the triangle and circles live their lives and coexist :-)
"Success is like being pregnant, everyone congratulates you but no one knows how many times you've been f*cked." Just stay consistent, you'll be successful, I promise you that.
Did my comment get deleted because I criticized some aspects of this discussion? I mentioned Bitcoin cancel culture, and this is a prime example of the problem… smh

Peter this podcast was excellent. We need more like this please.
Cobie is so good. So experienced, knowledgeable and so entertaining.
This is one of my favorite episodes. Discussion was engaging and thorough. Even with different views they understood each other’s perspective, at the minimum they took the time to listen.
I agree. What are your other favorite episodes
Great discussion! 🔥
I personally didn't find much value here but to each he's own.
Yes but why do they all hate Cardano Aaron and Austin?
keep producing great info
stop promoting scams on your channel. :))))
Stop promoting shitcoins as well please altcoindaily
Peter evolving beautifully as a host
Hope he stops with all the moral or "life crises" he was having!!
Cobie's perspective and experience is elite.
He is the mvp on here
I feel like he's the only one who can actually argue more than one single POV here.
Always enjoy Alex Gladstein's point of view. He's a breath of fresh air with a clear vision.
I had no idea ETH had a pre-mine until toxic maxis started talking about it
Udi constantly saying “but people know this” is simply not true
According to Udi, everyone knows this stuff
Exactly. The general public and casual participants in this space are not aware of the pre-mine at all , and very few folks are aware of how massive it was. Its a crucial message to get out there because it completely discredits Ethereum as a decentralized project.
its also called DYOR
satoshi and a few other nerds basically premined btc theres literally no difference
Alex Gladstein really shines on this panel. His opening remarks at 10:50 are spot on.
indeed.......a great mind with exciting thoughts on money ethics
Shoutout to Coby for the last minute acknowledgment of Alex's view point around the greater mission.
Top notch content. Everyone had very thoughtful arguments to contribute. Thank you for making this happen and please have them on again the future!
Great job Pete and guests. I really like the direction your going with these conversations Pete. Nice....
Peter this was a great episode!!! well done.......all the guys had respect and great ideas to add......I especially appreciate Alex's thoughts.....keep it real. thanks
Thank you for making a follow up video on this. The original Theranos video you made was what hooked me to your channel.
Thanks so much for this. some of us saw it all before...BIG promises...few results....EOS,,,NEO...xrp ...ada.... etc etc
Excellent discussion, very informative. It’s why I love your UA-cam/Podcast.
What a great panel of different perspectives
Whacking out important content so regularly. Brilliant 👏 👏
Holy shit, amazing panel. I'm so excited to listen.
Bitcoin vs the rest is an eternal September situation. It's not that ethereum is any less garbage since its 2017 state. It's just that new people need proper explanation why that's so.
Really enjoyed the diverse perspectives and expertise of the panel
Up there on my favorites for this pod. Serious topics with solid humor.
A question to everyone on the panel, when major software companies like singularity foundation ( A real AI company with real products like sofia) says yes cardano (or something like cardano) has a use case and they spend years developing on it, all of this information should be dismissed and labeled vaporware because you guys cant wrap your head around the code?

Awesome discussion!
Alex Gladstein is amazing
Peter i bought ledger because of you. I appreciate they sent a replacement but so far i have 2 defective units :( 1 from California, 2nd from France. Love this podcast! I’m a fan! You’re doing the Lord’s work! Keep Building! 💪🏻
Anybody know the model of headphones that Crypto Cobain, Udi are using in this video?
Good one Peter and co!
Now this IS GOOD INFORMATION. I never really comment but this is good information.
USDC is issued by a company Circle and Coinbase setup to issue it, it's a separate entity from either company but it's a joint venture
I like serious people. Michael saylor closed me. I went all in after 10 hours of him explaining life
I like this comment. You demonstrate the ability to think logically and act swiftly when appropriately called. Good job
Cheers - and his toxicity is so pleasant it’s not even worth discussing. Perhaps Peter should consider a revisit with Mr. Saylor on this topic if he’s so interested…
Excellent love seeing a "mixed" panel
thank y'all for the thoughtful discussion
This was a great discussion. Fair and balanced critical thinking about this space and the dichotomy that is happening between the various 'camps'.
We should all at least be able to recognize that those in bitcoin and crypto at large are trying to build a better future without banks.
I love how rational Udi is
One of the greatest conversation. I like the approach educate & discussion. Am holding BTC and trading about 25 alts to stack more BTC…
I think the attitude that bitcoin maxis need to protect people is a worrying one, as kind of came up in the conversations over ICO’s it sounds a little bit too like the current system, in which protection and safety (for investors) is really about control and privileged access by/for elites. Not enough questions regarding whether or not bitcoin will be able to do those things in the future
Hearing maxis saying that bitcoin is the best form of money is like hearing Peter Schiff saying that gold is the best form of precious rock…

Loved your last show with Willy Woo, as well. Bitcoin, Gold, Land , Tanks, Cannons, Drones, Private Military, space ships and candy
Loved it more of this Peter
Very healthy conversation

Hell, dont backtrack on your diversity comment! Its probably the first time I have heard it actually MEAN something beyond shallow aesthetics!
Absolutely LOVE this exchange!! I'm basically a Bitcoin maxi, but nothing here was offensive to that belief. The quality of thought and the respect given broadened my perspective. Kudo, guys, for bringing your best game!

Udi. How is it hubris to say something as obvious that state actors with malice ( of which there are plenty) won’t attack protocols that are vulnerable. It’s naive to say otherwise.
Epic stream!
Udi is wrong about RSK, there was no token sale, it does not have its own unit of account, it uses a bitcoin peg.
Alex Gladstein and Peter are so wrong about crypto and what is coming for the future that is actually sad. Also interesting to see that they think everyone else is dumb and they are the smart ones by only believing BTC will succeed.

Cobains lighting is on point
Alex is such a brighter mind than Udi!
Udi is doing a tough job, very hard to speak unpopular words to a community. He should be commended.
great talk
The consequences of misunderstanding Alts is nothing compared to the consequences of misunderstanding Bitcoin.
Why am I only finding out now that Udi and Cobie were on the same podcast
Amazing that even Bitcoiners don't know about Stacks smart contracts for Bitcoin yet
Great podcast

You are on the right path. Bitcoin is the solid bet strategically, ethically, and financially.
Udi's straw man is "everyone knows". No, this is precisely the point. NOT everybody knows - well informed OGs and traders do, but altcoin noobs have no effin idea.
Would have been much more interesting when all sides would have had the opportunity to have a say on the matter.
Not sure who first said it where and when, but it repeats saying again: "Bitcoin is a vote, not an investment".
could listen to Cobie talk for hours
Alex is the best
And this was an awesome conversation.

Mr. Gladstein, you bloody ROCK!!!! You are my hero!!!
KYC and AML gonna end up in the code - like a ISO standard.
End up in what code?
"Success is like being pregnant, everyone congratulates you but no one knows how many times you've been f*cked."
Just stay consistent, you'll be successful, I promise you that.
You make it sound like being fucked is bad 🤔
DanPena
I wanted to trade but got confused by the fluctuations in price
Cliff notes:
- BTC good
- ETH bad
- People are entitled to their opinion
- People are not entitled to their opinion
- Virtue signaling is trendy
there is nothing uncomplicated about bitcoin except for: buy and hodl!
Everybody knows whos is everybody? and how could everybody possibly know this? Everybody thst buys solana could not possibly know this.
Did my comment get deleted because I criticized some aspects of this discussion? I mentioned Bitcoin cancel culture, and this is a prime example of the problem… smh
BTW you ARE talking about Ethereum.. so thats a thing
Reverse. Ethereum maxis diss. Algorand Cardano Polkadot and others.
Peter it’s Solana not Solano. You make it look like you already had a fixed opinion on alt coins but thought you are doing a show on alts so better quickly go do some research before the show, which went as far as reading their webpage blurb to get the gist. How can your opinion be taken seriously when you’ve put in such little effort.
