Herr Ulrich, there is only one problem with the instruments you keep introducing to us: it makes me want to try my hand on as many as I can, but the position of my wallet...doesn't let me! .....well, maybe I have to restrict myself first to hummels and dulcimers, that already is big fun.
It's a Nyckelharpa - traditional instrument from Sweden. It was common in Germany too. 1619 it was drawn by Michael Praetorius - called Schüsselfidel (means the same as Nyckelharpa) There is a renaissance of this instrument today !
