Pirates of the Racquette River Hike

On July 14, 2021, Dr. Blair Madore, ADK Mountain Club Trail Coordinator Laurentian Chapter Secretary, led #families on a 3-mile-hike on Sugar Island, the Northern Trailhead of the Red Sandstone Trail, as part of our #pplontheoutside program. Blair told them the legend of the #Pirates of the Racquette River and had the #kids search for lost #treasure, in addition to experiencing many natural wonders along the #trail . . . with a surprise ending. #nature #hiking #river #librarylife #woods
