For all those saying her jokes were poor, if you look at the snippets of her stand up in clubs it's pretty obvious that most of her regular material isn't suitable for mainstream tv so she's had to severely water it down. When you see her in a real comedy club where she can say anything, she's much much better.
Meh…if someone can’t be funny unless they can say swears? They ain’t funny.

yes. I am desperate for recognition. Specifically for that of some random individual on the internet. Thank you for recognizing my existence Bob.I feel like like I have an identity now. While I do believe comedians have to have a thicker skin than most, I am certain that she would hope that most of the comments under her big Conan performance wouldn't be, "at least she has boobzzzz" haha.

People are so critical of female comedians. I love people act like movie critics whenever female is on saying stuff like "Her timing is off" or "The way she delivered that one joke was bad". She's actually pretty funny. If these were made by a male, you'd probably give a more positive comment.

Imagine the exact jokes in the exact pacing and accent from Conan himself. It _is_ funny, you just don't like hearing it from someone new who's female.

That said, Megan WAS funny. Her delivery could use some work, but her material is funny.

Sigh...I just do not believe this routine would have received so many negative comments calling it "not funny" if it were performed exactly the same by a man. Was it the best routine I've seen on Conan? No. But I thought there were some really funny moments. A solid routine. For so many people to be so negative and to say idiotic things like "Women aren't funny" or "women can't do standup-they're just not funny" is sexism plain and simple. Women can't be funny? Have you ever seen Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in action?! Give me a break. Great job Megan! I think you were funny!

I do think it's very significantly more rare that a female standup comedian is funny. It's not an opinion I've formed to try and dislike women :/ More of an observation from all the standup I've seen. Ofcourse it's just an opinion.. Maybe it's just how I am, that I only find a few females funny? Is it sexism to admit that? I don't think so, as I never really get to choose what I find funny. I do not hate women at all (except some select individuals ;P) but have the tendency to speak my mind even when I probably shouldn't.
Ok, I just thumbed this up out of sheer empathy... Come to think about it, me doing that might've been a bit sexist.. As it's something I decided to do completely based on her gender. Is it bad I want to support her because she is a woman - even if I didn't find her funny? Fuck if I know...

She's a doll and had material that I could relate to with gift bearing drunk fathers. Except we didn't have much money, so he would cook and clean a lot. I liked her! :) Conan books a lot of talented comedians, it's incredibly difficult to own the spotlight with such judgemental audiences (as a whole, not Conan's show).

I used to do sets at the same clubs as her in Chicago and when she got this Conan spot I was instantly jealous (supportive). Now I manage The Freehand Hotel. Ask for Karl. I'll give you a cocktail voucher to our famous bar The Broken Shaker.

I'm 45% Irish, 23% french, 1% native American and the rest is English. My grandmother was 100% Irish though but she's the one who married a french man then my dad got my mom who's french, English and native American. Which got me, a girl who's confused whether I'm supposed to enjoy Ale or wine more, or maybe alcohol just isn't for me and I need to stick with my tea.
Considering how Irish I am you'd think I'd have a great alcoholic tolerance but I'm the girl who gets black out drunk after 2 glasses of champagne then goes around telling everyone how much I love them and what I love about them.

I actually laughed a few times. I agree the timing earlier in the set needed to be a little quicker, but as it got going, thought it was quite funny!

She made me laugh quite a bit, surprisingly. These Stand-up Conan Comedians hardly ever make me want to hear more. She showed a wide range of joke styles, although what I get out of her is the "X exists because Y" standpoint (Referring to her dad being a drunk, and every pageant girl having a fat mom). I like her, and hope to see more of her one day, but do hope that she doesn't get too stuck on the "X exists because Y" thing.

Most comedians who do any stint on late night typically don't bring their A game material, just enough to give people a glimpse of your 'style'... with a few exceptions of course.

She is pretty damn good. People forget that it takes some major fucking guts to get up on a stage with a few hundred people and try to make them laugh. Course she could use some work, but overall she was great.
