I just can't get enough of this song. Or this album. Seriously, I may be a bit late to this party, I just have to say it. If I knew someplace more official where the band could actually see this message, I'd go there. I liked Van Canto when I first heard them, but this album put them all in my top favorites. This style of music isn't for everyone, but to me, it's just wonderful. I've always been a sucker for acapella. I think this is one of the few bands (maybe two?) where I've cared to learn their names and history. If they ever see this, just keep writing. You have a loyal fan in me.

I still think dc really dropped the ball opting for a Grey lantern and ultraviolet lantern corps instead of kicking off an arc focused on bards using the magic of their music to manipulate the lanterns and the emotional spectrum itself thanks to a tip from the piper
Okay, so I'm not a fan of a capella, I find using voice to imitate musical instruments superfluous and typically just don't like it. Despite of that, this still sounds amazing, unique, and their musicianship is clear. This is aca-awesome.
Super late comment, but I generally agree. The fact that Van Canto isn't 100% a capella in that they still use drums saves it I think. They have several FANTASTIC songs where the drums (and "normal" vocals) carry the song. I don't know if I could ever say what they do would sound BETTER than using a full range of instruments, but at least with this album most songs didn't feel like they were actively missing them and regardless of the gimmick, they're the ones writing these songs that I love. (Just wish they could've kept going, new album & lead singer are both hot garbage for reasons other than "being different from before".)
Always love seeing John Rhys-Davies. What a magnificent speaking voice! He was so marvelous as the Dwarf Gimly in the LOTR movies.
