This early video in the studio, w/her so funky & street casual, in quite fine full voice, w/notably, too, the entire ensemble of Dap Kings in symbiotic sync, just coming together in perfection, just kickin' it, BUT most especially so impressive to me still, after many dozens of viewings, is that very tall & hefty dark haired guy on guitar, enshrouded in his obscuring shades [& untucked comfy plaid shirt & tan shorts], whereas for most of the cut he is mostly in shut eyed concentrated funk, , seemingly so very much in soulful accord directly w/Miss Sharon in particular, albeit the 2 never actual make any eye contact, nor overtly acknowledgement of one another , yet I sense each are the other's principal muse during this session, w/the guitarist's licking his axe like a possessed captive to his own musicality, & who is so seemingly ecstatic in both the entire ensemble's super cool overall sound, but in several moments, just enraptured by Sharon's so getting down on this particular song, to the point near the end, where he involuntarily breaks into an enraptured wide smile cum guffaw, in an abandon of appreciation of mostly Sharon's bringing the song to it knees in profound soulful delivery (not nearly as satisfying for myself is the final release for sale) as well as relishing reveling in his own soulful contribution to Sharon's successful delivery in this so kick ass tune & super satisfying studio session! Shazam! Friggin' fries my own gizzards in gusty climax to the max! So there!
Please, what year was this recorded? ( not posted) And, dear helpful musicians, what Key is she in? I've heard this amazing song by this amazing band in various keys.. this is the best one, I think.
yeah dude thats great but, do you have any of the albums ?cause if do not than you just well talking pretty, if any of you want this music to be around so our kids can enjoy it, BUY THE ALBUM artist don't eat on youtube comments ...
Man when they peform its hillarious there so good its routine!!! hahah..they always try to be so gaut damn cool ..and make this shit look so easy...but when they are on stage...it really shows how Good and well practiced and talented the dap kings are
If you're a kid looking at this you should revere these guys. They are definition of "keeping it real" they're still using analog recording, they're sticking together as a band, and making it happen without having to sell it out. Love you guys.
I really love how this guys blend their sound with each other, i'd like to see them jam sometime just to listen how they improvise when they're not recording :D
Yeah, they got the East Coast vibe going where you don't dress like you're all that, you just show up and play and strip the floor with your sound. My west coast rocker pals hate that I don't dress like a rocker.
This should be the music video for this song, and should be on vh1 all day and night
Gonna miss that voice.

Wow!
Nah they got a couple Elvis era RCA ribbons too. They use analog but obviously signal chains matter a lot to them too.

I also loved their gold headphones by the way.
