  • Carp Fishing can have a ton of tips and tricks. In today's video we are creating some high leakage and high attraction Pacific Tuna Boilies for carp fishing. We simply take some ready made Pacific Tuna boilies and air dry them. Adding in the LO30 and Tuna Extract will absorb in fast and give our baits a very nice attraction. Finish off the baits with some micro salmon feed and we are ready to catch big fish.

    Fantastic! Definitely going to give this a try. Would you recommend doing this to some pop ups to fish over the top in weed covered bottoms?

    They look bloody yummy.....and much preferable to the carp than a bolt from a bow. Keep it up buddy good vids. Don't get the fish too big over there or we will invade again lol

    Freeze your Boilies first then add you flavour or attractant and it gets sucked into the boilie

      Definitely! Lots of ways to do it. Freezing pulls all the moisture out and as they thaw it really sucks everything in. Thanks for watching!

    Nice video buddy,
    I'm just getting back into carp fishing in the UK after a very long absence. It's really good to see how it's taken off in the states. How long has it been popular over there or is it something not that many take part in?
    I remember hearing horror stories in the past of massive carp being left to die on the bank as it was regarded as a non native species and wasn't supposed to be returned. Not sure if those stories were true or not?
    Anyway, great to see you guys reeling in the monsters over the pond.
    Cheers.

      Thanks for watching! Glad to see you getting back into it. There has always been carp anglers here but the past 3 years have really seen an increase in new carp anglers. The problem is the size of the US and your nearest carp angler may be a few hours away. I started doing videos to help all anglers and have seen it really increase from this because it is like having an angler there to show you things.
      We will have guys who kill them for that reason but it is becoming less in certain areas. I think in time things will change though.

    do you think fishy baits like this tuna will work for east coast lakes (NC) ? might be a dumb question but ive tried the pineapple tigernut boilies from dynamite and they werent hitting as good as i thought they would......but i can catch them on sweet corn all day long ? any recommendations

    • @BrianWingard
      @BrianWingard  8 років тому

      I am from the east coast actually. The thing is a good bait will attract all fish so as long as you can tolerate waiting and going through fish you will get into better ones. With fishier baits you will catch catfish as well but it is well worth it for when the big carp move in. Sweet corn for me always catches small ones. They love the bright color and the sweetness. For me boilies do not catch you a ton of fish but more quality fish over time.

      @Matt-cu2yi 8 років тому +1

      that makes sense because ive noticed at first when i was using sweet corn all i was catching was small carp (8-10) lbs...ill just have to try different baits and see which ones work.......wheres a good place to contact you at? Here not a lot of people fish for carp, your about the only person i know that actually is passionate about fishing and know your stuff!

      Flyfish89.Some years ago here in England the record carp was caught on a single grain of corn by a gentleman named Chris Yates and he caught it on a split Cane rod and a centerpin reel old style the record now beaten but corn today still catches huge fish.

    Are they shelf life or frozen boilies? Do we still air dry shell life?? Thanks

    • @BrianWingard
      @BrianWingard  3 роки тому

      Thanks for watching. These are shelf life. I still air dry to take some of the moisture out so when you add liquid it will absorb even more.

    Why mess with a bait that has already been tried and tested for sale,then have to buy further products to enhance,and also to go through a process of drying what is a ready bait,it's just mind boggling and expensive and truthally just catching the Angler for their money,you could add those liquids to sweet corn or anything,so who's catching who ?

    • @BrianWingard
      @BrianWingard  3 роки тому

      It is just like anything else. There are a million ways to do things and you can choose how you like to fish. I just offer various techniques so the angler can choose how they want to fish. Just to answer some of your comments the bait is dried so it can take on more flavor and so attractors can stick to it. Compared to a ready made going straight in the water this will allow more leakage and carry the scent farther while leaving small particles around the bait which attract bait fish which then attracts carp to the boilie. Thanks for watching.
