Dear Mark, I Thank you very much for your overwhelming travel photos. Very fine portraiture. Great sensibility your way of traveling. Really impressive. The best video I have seen lately. Thank you again.
Brilliant images, Mark and superbly edited into a 10 minute movie with perfect music soundtrack. When you're not educating us in the ways of the Sony Universe, what cameras and lenses did you most frequntly use for a trip like this?
Thanks for the positive feedback - I used the A6700 and A7CII and size compact lenses. I normally only travel with three or four but I am preparing a travel lens comparison video for my Patrons that I will release early next year.
Dear Mark, Great that you are now sharing something completely new! I have been following you for years but have never seen a video like this from you before. I have already learned a lot from you, this provides inspiration in a different way, for which I thank you. I hope you had a wonderful and valuable journey for yourself too. Greetings from Holland, Jacques
Amazing content Mark. Love that b&w transition. Strong content. Have you gone over you packing gear list on some other video? Always good stuff from you on how to do it.
Fascinating part of the world. Loved your interesting and gorgeous photos. I have visited those areas, and can attest that you have captured much of the feeling of being there (aside from the brutal heat). Also I like the format of the video, simply seeing the great photos.
Mark great video. I went to Vietnam last November and it is a wonderful place, as you showed, to take images. In particular panning as there is so much to see that you don’t see elsewhere..
I really love your photographic journey. I´d like to be where you´ve been though your pictures brought me a little closer. It is awesome how you nailed the flair and feeling of the everyday-life on the streets onto your sensor. This made me courious what lenses you brought with you to capture these scenes. The frames make me feel like 35-85mm have been your primary focal lenghts. Is my that feeling true?
Thanks for your positive feedback. I used mostly 28 to 135mm focal lengths. I have a 1-hour seminar about how I prepared for this trip and how I captured these images on my Patreon.com/markgaler Alpha support channel.
I have shared videos of my India and Bali trips this year on my UA-cam channel and produced a 2-hour travel photography seminar for my Patreon on Patreon.com/markgaler
I have posted all these images to my Flickr account and they have all the EXIF data. I took 6 compact lightweight lenses (to more than I needed) and two camera bodies (APS-C and full frame) because I am preparing a travel seminar for my Patrons where I will compare the choices that are available.
Mark thanks for sharing this amazing story of your trip to across the Mekong Delta. The images are awesome. Was this a private trip, or a workshop? Take care.
6 compact lightweight travel lenses. EXIF data for all images is on my Flickr Pro account. I also have a lens choice video for my Patrons on Patreon.com/markgaler
Always mechanical if I don't need silent shooting. I didn't need silent shooting for any of these images. If I had taken my A1 most of them would have been captured using the electronic shutter, because of the stacked sensor the camera uses. If you need to download eBook resources (for camera settings) and personal guidance check out my Patreon.com/markgaler support channel.
Hi Mark great photos, however come to my motherand as well the Philippines the pearl of the orient and photograph things, people and places there. Albeit I haven't been back to my motherland for 25 years living in Canada as a citizen.
Things have a habit of changing rapidly in Asia. I started travelling extensively in Asia in the 1980s and many of the places have a completely different character 40 years later. I recommend you pay your homeland a visit to see how things have changed.
Τhat is all great , but i'm really worry about the AI think. I start to afraid of it cause everyone now , with some key words at pc ,can get every picture that can imagine.
Travel photography is not about the end product (the photo) it is about the journey, meeting the people and experiencing the culture. If some people think they can do this sitting behind a computer screen I feel sad for them.
That in fact would merely be impossible. Poor people wasting their lifetime on that, instead of feeling the adventurous life as it is. @@AlphaCreativeSkills

Thanks for the positive feedback - I have also produced similar videos of my India and Bali adventures this year.

@@AlphaCreativeSkills Thanks a lot.
I’ll check out Flickr for the details 👍🏻
Well done buddy, the results are amazing. Did you edit the images in photoshop?
Thanks: Edited in Lightroom - just one or two minutes per image
Great idea. I should do this with some of my travel photos. How long was each one showing for?
Thanks - Movie exported from Apple Keynote - 2 seconds per slide
Mark thanks for sharing this amazing story of your trip to across the Mekong Delta. The images are awesome. Was this a private trip, or a workshop? Take care.
A private trip - had this one on my bucket list for a few years.
Superb
Thanks 🤗
Super impressive photos, Mark. I was thinking about a similar route, did you make a cruise across Mekong? Cheers!
Yes - a boat called the Mekong Princess that features in this presentation
@@AlphaCreativeSkills Great, thanks!
👍👍 very nice.
Thank you very much
Loves this. Did you create the movie on LR or Ps?
Apple Keynote - faster than Adobe Premiere Pro, which I often use as well.
What lenses did you use for the trip? Must have been an amazing experience.
6 compact lightweight travel lenses. EXIF data for all images is on my Flickr Pro account. I also have a lens choice video for my Patrons on Patreon.com/markgaler
Just curious tho. When you’re out about doing shoot like this. Do you use electronic or mechanical shutter usually?
