Seriously great job on your edits. I just watched your extended cut of the movie, bravo 👏 Inspector Gadget was definitely one of my favorite shows growing up, you did it Justice ❤
incredible job on this! I especially love the skillful edit of Gadget's laser pointer -> the family escaping from the fire. I have surprisingly never heard the French theme over the USA theme before, but it sounds really, really good haha!
I was alive when Inspector Gadget was on air, but for some reason Nickelodeon got desperate and played the reruns during the 90's. I watched a fair share of Inspector Gadget.
If I remember it correctly it was the late 90's when that happened because I remember it being aired on local antenna channels for most of the early 90's but I can't remember which channels had the shows.
@@SlayerSantiago I remember it was aired as a Saturday morning cartoon and for after school timeslots but Nickelodeon was still new at the time so I don't know who had Nickelodeon which shouldn't be surprising since most prefer antenna channels over cable because antenna TV was free.
I like that this paints Gadget as a bit more coherent and serious while still being a kid's show. I looooved watching the show when I was growing up and I get it was just supposed to be kid-friendly humor, but even as a kid, I got tired of just how "bumbling" and dumb he really was.
I love your version of the extended Inspector Gadget theme, in both English and French. I grew up watching Inspector Gadget on Nickelodeon, CBS, and my local station FOX54 here in Huntsville, AL in the 90s(though I saw it more on Nickelodeon in the late 80s when I was 6-7 years old). Interesting fact that you or anyone else might not know: Gadget’s pilot episode, Winter Olympics, use the Season 1 title opening with Gadget’s mustache and the end credits was the well known ending
40 years of Classic Gadget, 24 years of Movie Gadget, and yet he's still using BROWN BRICKS IN MOINECRAPT! Edit: Also, there's from what I've heard from The Lost Media Wiki, a scene where after he comes back to life, Gadget apparently sings 'Oklahoma'. Could this be possible?
The first one was hacked to bits by Disney. The director was really trying to make a darker/more adult version of Gadget for the big screen. It's not the greatest film but it could have turned out much better if Disney studio execs didn't get involved in the editing room!
@@SlayerSantiago Yeah. And possibly the only people I think could possibly have these deleted scenes are either Disney themselves or the producers of the movie, Roger Birnbaum, Andy Heyward and Jordan Kerner.
Which was the episode that he shot the laser followed by saving Penny with the copter hat? That had to be the most awesome thing Gadget ever pulled off.
@@SlayerSantiago love to see those episodes. The good inspector gets a lot of flack for his incompetence, but there are a number of times he’s earned his place as a hero.
i use to watch this show frequently as a kid in the '80's but i never saw this version of the title sequence before. like i never even knew that it existed.
This deserves more credit than it serves! I most especially love how you added in the shot of Inspector Gadget stopping at the lair that was taken from the Pilot intro. Nice work man.
During 1991-92 at the same time, the long-running Inspector Gadget was simultaneously being rerun aired on Nickelodeon, on CBS Saturday mornings and on local syndicated stations.
While Inspector Gadget was rerunning in syndication on local stations at the same time, the show was aired on multiple TV cable and networks in the U.S., including Nickelodeon, CBS, and The Family Channel.
Morshu : hey boss, inspector gadget it was a cute little Leonard guy. He’s trying to earn his spiral notebook of Ryan’s world red titan. Inspector gadget : that’s perfect Morshu he’s somebody gets it
...still kind of hard to believe that this started off as a Lupin III spin-off, but got worked into its own thing when DiC couldn't get the rights. (Lupin VIII, to be specific.) Then again, I see very little evidence to prove this, beyond TMS' quality animation. This IS the internet, you know.
Most info out there says the idea for Inspector Gadget was actually developed independently, but one could see how they may possibly could have taken some inspiration after producing the Lupin VIII pilot.
Good job however was I the only one that thought that The Chef was really Dr. Claw? Think about it, he's always trying to blow up Gadget with the mission message and ends up getting himself blown up in the end. I know the whole "this message will self destruct in 5 seconds" is a call back to "Mission Impossible" but still it makes you wonder.

At 0:56 or so, are the "Go, Gadget, Go!"s a different take or pitched up at all in comparison to the show's original? I can't help but feel like they sound different (and honestly a little bit better) than what's used in the tv show. This entire sequence is marvelous by the way, Wowsers! Top notch!

@night-x6793 if you lived in the US, Gadget was heavily broadcasted on Nickelodeon in the early 90s (along with Danger Mouse and Count Duckula).
