I have epoxied mine because I felt like the cup is stronger and looks more finished when you epoxy them. Besides, acrylic is weak and leaks are so much more prevalent that epoxy is just a safe guard against them.
These are super cute!! Now I gotta give it a shot myself. Personally I don't see the need to epoxy them..keep the videos coming, I learn so much from you!! ❤️ 💜
To me it's just like doing acrylic blanks. We epoxy those without worrying so why worry with a tumbler? Is there some sort of scientific thing that makes the two different? I don't think so but I'd be interested to know if there is.
I have use epoxy on these and have one for myself that has epoxy have had no issues at all.... it seems like if you can't put epoxy on them then you shouldn't use UV resin on the bottom either right?....
Dessa var så fina 😊 fin gåva. Vat det svårt första gången du gjorde en sådan? Skulle va så kul att göra locket med spiderman, the hulk and Pippi Långstrump och en med foto och film motiv. Glömde fråga har du gjort med fotografi ?
Super cute! So, single wall the concern is they will sweat and the epoxy can crack. Double walled you’re good. Some say it can “leach through” but acrylic isn’t porous and once fully cured like any other tumbler it’s fine. I’m by no means an expert but from everything I’ve read that makes the most sense to me.
Great tutorial. Snow globes are so fun. The only thing is you should be using distilled water only. Tap water whether it’s filtered or treated will mold and it goes all icky.. And it doesn’t take very long to happen.
Has anyone actually tried these lately? I ordered 5 cups from STAINLESS STEEL DEPOT. These cups leak at the seam toward the bottom that goes all the way around the cup. I thought I did something wrong on the first. Started another and same thing. Found the leak. Both are the same seam. Wish it were not so. But just a warning do not waste the money on these cups. Maybe find an alternative.
I know I'm late to the party, and this has probably been said many times below - but if you don't have a funnel, you can roll up a piece of paper into a cone shape and use that as a funnel. Super easy, and less mess. (not that you made a mess, it looked pretty easy the way you did it too) These are adorable, and love the toppers!!
Hi Courtney! This is my first time seeing this video. I do not know how I missed it! I just tried 3 of these and my glitter is literally stuck at the top! I'm so disappointed because I wanted to give my little granddaughter one for Easter. After seeing your tutorial, I'm thinking maybe I used too much Glycerin. Looks like you used more water than Glycerin. I'm going to try again! Thank you for your tutorial♥
OMG I stumbled across your video and it made me so happy. I love your tumblers. I really want to make the yellow lemon one cause it's so refreshing looking. What size tumbler is it? Also I clicked your link for the lemon slices but they don't have them. Do you know any place else? What are they made out of? Do you have to add that hypoxy stuff or whatever you said in order for it not to leak or could the gorilla glue tabs work by themselves I really don't want to buy a heater and all that stuff unless hypoxy can drive by itself? Please advise when you can I really appreciate it Thank you and I love your video.
@@CourtneysCustoms I saw you using a heating element on your video. I don't want to have to buy extra equipment. I looked after and your tumblers where you buy from is only 15oz. I did find a place with 20oz ones thou. I think bigger is better lol
Hello, I made a snow globe tumblers using bottled water and vegetable glycerin and I've noticed some dark spots that I think is mold. There are no leaks and I'm not sure why this happened. Can anybody help with tips to avoid this on future projects please?
Love your tutorials! Thank you so much. I didn’t know about these cups. I just tried the snow globe with another type of cup and it was so hard to get the seal right. This is so much more painless! Thank you!
When I seal my bottoms, I'll add a thin layer of uv resin all on its own and cure that, then I'll do a layer with uv resin and glitter because mine would leak!!! 😱 I wonder what I was doing wrong. I even clean the inside of the hole with alcohol and wipe the whole bottom before applying any uv resin.
If you use viynl you can epoxy over them, but if it’s permanent viynl there’s no need to unless you just like the finish. But regardless of what you do there will be someone against it. Best advice to give is “do your own research” that way nobody can say you told them wrong info.
These are so cute! I wish I could send you the bee cup I finished it is so darn cute. Courtney because of you I faced the challenge. So I see making these in my future. Thank you❣️
Ok so this has nothing to do with this video but it is tumbler related! Ok I'm having the hardest time wrapping my tumblers! Like I can not EVER get my wraps whether it be double sided sticky sheets or vinyl they don't ever line up. I was at the point where I was just gonna give up then I came across a video where the lady used windex then another lady used soap and water they wet both cup and vinyl and put it on while it was wet making it easier to move around and line it up!! Such an amazing hack right? Buuuut what I need to know is can that method be applied to the tumbler tape or the cat anti scratch sheets or to any of the double sided sticky sheets??? If you've tried it and it's worked please let me know!! Thank you in advance!
I have not tried it. I line mine up and take a little of the backing off and stick it to the cup. Then I go bit by bit around the cup. But lately I have seen people using windex on the double sided tape. It has caused some discoloration if using the blue. Water only issue I have seen is if the glitter bleeds.
I have epoxied mine because I felt like the cup is stronger and looks more finished when you epoxy them. Besides, acrylic is weak and leaks are so much more prevalent that epoxy is just a safe guard against them.
Perfect thank you!

That’s true!!
Can you use any kind of glitter for this tumbler or does it have to be the same glitter you used?
You can use any!💜

I have epoxy plastic cups all the time I had made and sold many many plastic cups
Awesome thank you!

Take that back some acrylic is porous. Still once cured epoxy is fine.

Yeah you can absolutely do that!!💜
Where did you purchase the arcrylic mug from
Stainless depot
Thanks
I notice that you left a lot of space on your fill. Is there a reason for this?
Just found the video where can i find these cups?
Can you use polymer clay in the globe?

Hi!! I think it’s a 20oz tumbler. You can get lemons on Amazon. They’re plastic. And I definitely recommend epoxy it cures on its own

Use distilled water
@@CourtneysCustoms thank you
Can you freeze the cup ?
I would not recommend it
Is it better to use distilled water Or does it matter ? Also would it be easier to mix the glitter with the liquid first than add it to the cup?
BTW LOVE YOUR CUPS!!! The are beautiful and love watching your VIDEOS.
I’ve seen that some people prefer distilled water. I’ve used both. And thank you so so much for watching! 💜
Just so you know, you don't have to take the collar completely off when changing the bits on your dremel tool. Oh and your jeans are super sparkly!!!
BTW.... those are super cute!!! You should put some seeds or slices on the outside...

Wow that’s strange!!
So as I afraid to do them because I’ve seen so many people have trouble with them. Well thanks Courtney I am going to try, terrific cups thank you

Love this so excited to try this
It’s beautiful! Love the watermelon one, both are adorable!!! 💜💜💜💜💜
Thank you love💜
I was definitely scared to try these! But I think I’ll give it try! They look fun!
They’re so so so fun!!
Will tap water mold in the globe?
Not that I’ve experienced
@@CourtneysCustoms ok good, love your videos. You ROCK, keep up the great work.
@@dawn.ringhofer3487 thanks so much!!
Have you ever had the issue of your glitter bleeding into your solution after a week or longer?
No I have not
The UV resin is not coming up when you click on the link it comes up as the ice from Amazon
Oh gosh I’m so sorry!! I fixed it💜
I have a bunch of these and couldn’t decide what to do with them. I’ll try this for sure!
Awesome!
Where did you buy those cups from ? 😬 I wanna try !

I love making these cups! Your watermelon cup is super cute!! I might have to make some!
Thank you 💜

Love this! Is there any issue that might come up with mold growing? Not sure if the vegetable glycerin stops this from happening?
Thank you! I haven’t heard of any stories with molding
Use distilled water and it won’t mold. It’s usually tap water that cause the molding not the glycerin.
Omg super cute I gotta try this
Thank you!!
Those are great for our by the pool! Love them 💕
I’m totally keeping one!! Lol

Thank you 💜
Are we talking about epoxy the whole cup or just the bottom?
The whole cup
I assume you need to use super chunky glitter right? Fine glitter doesn't work too well?
You definitely can use fine glitter! I just personally like the looks of chunky better
@@CourtneysCustoms maybe I used too much because it looks chunky....then the cup I got from where you got yours islesking around the bottom seam.
