I plugged my digital camera into the AV- (RYW) socket and set up the TV to show the fizzy static on screen. Then I place my camera onto a stool but of course its always better to use a tripod. Once you done that you need to make sure that you focus the camera close enough to the screen as you need to focus on fizzy static (its quite hard to align it to the right place). Im really not good in explaining things, theres somewhere a place on the net that explains the hole ICT thing.
