Dark masculine 😭 That explains the last two years perfectly. It's interesting that I've been a caretaker for my Capricorn father during this time. He jokes that we don't get along because we're too much alike, but it's always felt like I'm the light and he's the dark. I'm the product of seeing the darkness and choosing to heal, while he denies his darkness and recreates it with his every breathe. I feel like I've been teleported back to my childhood, reliving the pains and in a constant state of shadow and inner child work. It's been such a journey, but the most difficult part of the process has been dealing with the mental, emotional, verbal, and spiritual abuse he's put myself, husband and kids through. It's been such a tango of rising up against it and trying to hide from it. I catch myself saying "if my kids take anything away from this, it's the memory of what this feels like so they can identify it and rise above it before it ever gets a chance to take them down." I was raised believing this is normal and what love looks like. They know this isn't love, and they've seen me advocate against his treatment for too long. We want to leave but aren't sure how to make it happen. After an event with him today, I showered away the funk and literally felt like I was clogging the drains if that makes sense. So much falling away with clarity around boundaries which led me to fear that me laying down the law would have my family on the streets. Isn't it wild that we'd be caring for someone who can't care for themselves but me confronting the brutal truth would theoretically lead to such an extreme. Whew. Such a powerful reading and I feel myself filling with strength to confront and overcome this energy for the final time.
I just read your comment and I can not believe how almost exactly your situation and mine are the same. The exception to this is my father is an Aquarius and I am the Capricorn. I am the life loving, caregiver to both of my parents. My mother has passed but my narcissistic father is still here currently making my and my daughters life a living hell. I have been taking coaching from a counselor on how to take my power back and its working. That's where I'm getting my strength from. Good luck with your mountain to climb.

I have been getting the same message all around me. It has been a long and rough transition time of 5 years. All of my titles and accomplishments turned to dust. I had to let go of everything that I thought was me, accept a completely new mental and physical space and learn to grow from there.

Andie, I was just thinking about allowing my inner child to express without letting the adult ego mess with its creation.
I was inspired to create art this Saturday/Sunday, and I was so excited. Then the adult self stepped in and chimed in some ideas that were just... BOO, but it will 'make' me 'look good'.

The only 'wrong' i need to correct is the idea-impulse to change and resist the "composition" of that moment or situation... and then surrender-enter exactly the "tunnel" (darkness) i was trying to change or resist. to give in to those things that feel 'wrong'.
so, the question is not... to ask... why the fear/shadow is there... but... for what have they appeared to help with or help for? and then to follow them - as friends, guides... open upto them as lovers.
Sometimes... as my journey has revealed... some tunnels are 20 year long.

And honestly.. a confirmation combined all in one video of partial messages I been getting involving unresolved issues with my shadow. It's multi-faceted but it more than ever has been holding me back questioning not only my direction in life but questioning myself and becoming rather depressing. My fears are getting to me and I try to overcome them... today those fears were morphing from anxiety into almost a paranoid delusion... that I caught myself in. We had a beautiful amazing cat called Shadow :) We lost her back in February. We miss her a lot but were super lucky to have her for the few years we did. She was a hand me down cat, but we gave her a forever home with us and we loved her a lot. I feel she's trying to make sure we can get a forever home (we've never bought a house), so my mind is on buying an amazing house for our family so it can be generational for grandkids/great grandkids etc.
