I think Miss Ellie is trying to protect you, or the equipment being washed. They're both, in her mind, things that she's supposed to watch and protect. That's the cool thing about working breeds. They're whole world is protecting and watching over the entire farm. She's quite smart, and you all have done a great job in socializing and training her. I socialize and train different kinds of dogs and cats. Indeed, cats can be trained. I've had several cats get their service license, and two that received their therapy license! ❤😊
Back when I had a dog, Miss Ashley, a beautiful border collie/austrailian shepard mix. She was an absolute working dog. I would always take her hiking. She LOVED doing that and we would go on 20+ mile hikes! That became her job. Does Miss Ellie smell when she's wet? Miss Ashley could be SOAKED and she still wouldn't smell. Every time we passed water on our hikes, Miss Ashley just HAD to go wading in and flop down in the water. She would also try to drink from that water, but sometimes, I didn't want her to drink that water if I thought it was suspcious. Also, Miss Ashley just HAD to have her hikes...and SHE didn't CARE if it was raining!!!
@@BODUKE3201 Miss Ashley lived to be 17 years old! I expected 12 years, so I got FIVE BONUS YEARS with her! When my mum was still here, Miss Ashley always slept in bed with her but, when my mum was gone and after she passed, Miss Ashley always slept in bed with me. She also EXPECTED my mum to cut her food into little pieces or she would refuse to eat. I, on the other hand, could just dump a can of food in her bowl if my mum wasn't here and Miss Ashley would eat. She looked at me as the pack leader, but my mum could never be authouritative enough to get that, so she was always just another member of the pack. Miss Ashley was also really STRONG and my mum couldn't handle her well, so I ended up being the one walking her every day. If we both walked her together, she knew what was expected based on who held the leash...with my mum, she knew she was expected to walk next to her on one side only, but with me, she knew she was free to move as far as the leash allowed her and she knew that if I held the leash that she was free to wander a bit. I dictated the route we took on our hikes, but I allowed her to decide when we took a break. Anyway, I ended up adopting a feral cat and her kittens, so after Miss Ashley passed on, I never did get another dog. The feral cat's name is Miss Patches and she is laying right in front of me sleeping. She's lost a bit of her feralness and she allows other people to approach her. She decided that she was going to trust me and, well, Miss Patches never had any reason to regret that!
DC, you made my day! I listen to you with headphones on because my BFF/roommate is usually watching or listening to something else, so I don't like to bother her with what I'm watching. I work overnight, so I watch y'all while I'm eating my lunch/dinner and I was in the kitchen cleaning up when you just popped out with "We try to get our fuel after midnight because it's cheaper...." and I just lost it!!!!!!!! Thanks for the laughs DC, I was really needing it today.
That's the problem in my area ,farmers are struggling to get crops planted .too wet to get into the fields ,but what corn that's planted are up and growing .might make it to shin high by the 4 th of July .only 40-50% of the soybeans planted .
I also have an astigmatism in my left eye. I can't and won't drive without my glasses. First thing that goes on my face in the morning and the last thing I take off before I shut off the light.
We have a Great Pyrenees in our house of four , it's so fun to have him not wanting you to hug your two special need son goodnight for their bedtime but he's always pushing us to get all of us into one room
Those buggies are sure handy, makes ya spoiled though. I have 2 in the barn and wonder why I didn’t get them sooner. Well, the ridiculous price is a big reason.
I used to give my dogs steak bones til I read they could splinter and do damage inside their bodies. After that I gave the bone to pick the meat off but as soon as I heard the crunch I took it away, same with roast beef. So just keep an eye on her when feeding her bones.
I laid my glasses somewhere yesterday and can't for the life of me remember where I laid them. I've searched both cars and every square inch of the house. Thank God I kept the last pair just for times like this. I see ducks swimming on ponds of water in the fields here in east central Illinois and I wonder if maybe a person could invent a way to suck that water out of the field and step up the drying time. Maybe a hose and pump attached to an auger that could reach out to the deepest part... I invented the swather when I was 12 years old (1964) only to find it was already invented. I'll bet this pump is available somewhere as well. Always a day late and a dollar short. Love your videos DC!
You're lucky Daddy Cornstar, I'm so near-sighted, astigmatism, and double prisms in each lens for depth perception. I take my glasses off to sleep. They are only in one place when I take them off. I haven't chosen my own frames since I was 12. We're the same age, so you're doing well. 😊
I have astigmatism in both eyes, plus cataracts in both .left eye more so ,trying to see sometimes isn't fun .blurry and then like trying to see through dirty glasses .
This must have been filmed before the bad weather hit. Two weekends ago, we had 3 tornadoes and 1.5" of rain. Three days later, we got 3" of rain and 3 more tornadoes. Your County received around 5" and Greenfield was hit quite hard with the same tornado that went over my County. We were both declared disaster areas because the fields that had little bits of green showing got plowed by the tornadoes. Your County was hit harder than mine. I've posted several times to make sure everybody was okay, and how your crops faired during the rain, hail, wind and tornadoes. You must have been okay, or you would have posted. Or, doing really bad, and too busy clearing up the mess, and trying to fix your fields.

My last dog I had who has passed was an Australian shepherd/border collie. She was 3 months shy of 15

At least you're all planted rather than waiting for dry conditions, then you'd really be behind.

Great video but lasted about as long as a lightning strike.
It’s got blinkers, it’s got beers. Oh, I meant mirrors. My bad. Lol.
I hate that UA-cam is curating the comments……
I thought comments were protected by 1A.
What does THAT mean?
