I have listened to Honshirabe many times in the past 50 years, played by many different artists. Yours is the most breathtakingly beautiful, taking the piece to a place beyond listening. Truly transcendent. Shanti.
Dear Adrian, thank you so much for your wonderful music! You play so sensitively and have very special nuances in your playing. It is always a great pleasure to listen to you and simply enjoy - thank you for this great gift! I hope that the new year brings you much joy and health and that you continue to give us the gift of your wonderful sounds on the shakuhachi -
Hi Martin! Thank you for your kind comments, and for being sensitive for the nuances! I have a lot more music in the pipeline ... i guess it will continue until the final breath! I hope 2024 is also kind to you and your dreams.
"Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it" - Jeshua - Much gratitude for the soothing and inspirational music of your soul. Sending much love from Kyoto 🌈🌧☀
Thank you for your message. I have a lot of nostalgia for the years I spent in Kyoto. I guess it is a different place now from 30 years ago, but still I would love to return one day!
Ah.... that's good to hear. I also find the music brings peace to me when playing. It wasn't always like that, as the instrument is difficult to master! But it's great to be able to share and receive feedback from listeners. Thank you!
@@adrianfreedmanmusic I tried to learn how to play years ago when I lived in Japan. I went to a man in Minowa (Mr Minami). But with time marriage, work etc took up my time so I dropped out. I always felt that was a big loss as music is such a blessing at times. So, let me once again tell you, you have no idea how much value you bring to my down-time through the notes you play. It really touches both body and soul. Thank you.
Hey Mr.Peekingduck ... your comments also bring inspiration to me .. it's great to know that the music I put out there is being listened to and bringing benefits to those that hear it. Thank you! 💛✨🌸
