Honestly, I love it how they've basically given Reptile both a human and his beast form, I love it.
A version of Reptile in which it both appeals to the ones that like Human Reptile and the ones that like Lizard Reptile. Both is good

He just turns into a beast during the animation of his special moves. You guys are over estimating NRS if you think hes a "stance" character.
This is slowly starting to become one of my favorite character selections in a MK roster since MK9 and Armageddon 👍

I don’t normally like full lizard reptile, but the way they did it here is awesome. His human design is spectacular and I like the way he shifts to lizard mode for alligator like attacks. I’m excited.
Love that we're getting Reptile back, and in his ninja form (with some cool beast transformations). He 's been my favorite in just about every MK he's in.

It pleases me so much! In the old games Reptile was becoming well... a reptile because he wasn't near a Saurian Matriarch. It was tragic actually. I always wanted him to become human again because he wanted to be human again. (it's like de-evolution being away from a matriarch to his species.) This spin on it is absolutely perfect and that reveal gave me goosebumps.

I feel like Mortal Kombat 1 is gonna be the ultimate roster bringing back almost everyone from the past. This new timeline is really promising and I love it
I'm curios who's going to be the major villains. I'd imagine it's going to be the OGs, Shang Tsun, Goro maybe Kintaro, Sheeva Quanchi...?
@@matthewsdonnelly We are getting parts of the storyline where the ninjas come together or fight together or at each other.. maybe we will get a full on Lin Kuei civil war, maybe Hydro comes back as like a temporary antagonist because he hasn't been shown much and maybe its canon that people forgot him easily. Shang Tsun is part of the roster and the story trailer - but maybe we get even someone more sinister
@@official_wonnie I'm sure they will do something unique. I'm 33 and I feel like Shang Tsun, Shao Kahn and them guys are a little bit outplayed. But then again they are bringing a lot of older guys back.

Actually now that I thought about it. What I think would be cool is for their to be a Mortal Kombat VERSE. Instead of just having a linear story line. Just like Avengers is doing and several other franchises. MK should do the same!

Reptile doing the alligator/crocodiles roll of death was brilliant

I only know Reptile lol. I've only played Mortal Kombat X and 11, and not even the story modes. I don't know characters from earlier games unfortunately but still cool!

Deception was the first MK game I really got into, and I always thought there were some characters there with a lot of potential, which got kinda wasted when the series rebooted. All that's left on my wish list now is Shujinko and Kira. 😀

I’m glad Ashrah and Havik are playable in the game. Both have very interesting backstories and needed more exploration and exposure. Out of the3D era characters they are some of the more interesting and most memorable. Now we need Taven and Daegon who could easily fit into the story as we know it right now. Maybe Drahim if they can figure out a better move set and look for him.

The fact that Reptile started out as a Scorpion color palet along side and became a completely unique character just makes me smile
A secret character of an existing character. Who then expand into the series. Quite a long way he's been through.
Reptile being able to switch between his humand and monster form was alredy cool. But him having an actual personality and backstory again is a *godsend*
I had my doubts but man this cast keeps getting better and better. That reptile fatality was awesome.

@@ianh9072 it calls back to classic Reptile. He looked like a regular Ninja with poison abilities and in one game he took off his mask to show a lizard head sort of like Scorpion taking off his mask to show a skull.
i really love what theyre doing for reptile they're giving more personality, more shape to his character flushing him out he honestly deserved an update super excited to see how this plays out
I'm appreciating a lot the way they are fitting all plots and archetyps in a new background story.
Reptile's isn't 1:1, but they even have their OG plots from the old games. Which was never resolved because Armageddon.

Reptile having both a human and lizard form is a great way to merge old and new depictions. I have a feeling that between the surprize lizard form attacks and invis, he's going to be an absolute pain
Ashrah is a great returning character alongside Lei Mei. Another character I love that has her own fighting style and personality now, though I am going to miss her hat.
And Havok...dude literally spent the entire fight ripping his own arms off to bludgeon people with them. This is like MK11 Frost throwing her head at people all over again.
This might be the sickest looking reptile. Love the full circle with his character between design and lore
I hesitate to preorder, but I will definitely buy this. Ashrah is looking the best that she's ever been. Reptile is a good guy now? Anti-hero? Awesome.

I'm stoked they brought back Reptile's sick Ninja outfit! I was never a big fan of the full blown reptilian look but I like that it's giving you the option to choose.

I think I'm one of the few that wanted Sareena on the main roster, but it's cool that she's in the game at all.
this is looking absolutely amazing I know there is street fighter 6, tekken 8 coming out and even fatal fury but the only one I'm excited for is this mortal kombat 1 looks soo good.

This is easily the most excited I've been by any of the reveals, Reptile, Ashrah and Havik were all on my MK11 wishlist, im stoked they each made the cut. Especially Havik, they made him exactly as messed up and freaky as i hoped they would, though the voice is a bit of a surprise, i expected something deeper or raspy/growly, but i dont mind it.

@@senjuix9319he is the cleric of chaos, who resides in the chaosrealm. In past games his intentions are to only spread havoc/trouble across the realms hence the name havic. But now I think he has different motives in this new timeline

I couldn't be happier with how Reptile looks. He's been my favorite since my cousin introduced me to MK2 on his SNES.
I love reptile, I never played him because I always preferred the moveset of other characters but I've always loved the lore and designs behind the character. Im stoked that he's a good guy in this (from what it looks like, at least) that means he's finally gonna get some dubs in the story. I hate how only good guys (with a few exceptions in 11) get story mode chapters so the bad guys with sick designs and lore always get jobbered. I don't think Reptile has canonically gotten a win before. Looks like he will finally get some in this game though!

Games been out a month or so now and I’m still going back to watch this trailer on the toilet cuz it is that sick !
I don't know if that was the dead trees back ground stage, but it looked amazing, and did anyone notice reptile grabs the ankle and does a death roll like a crocodile, brilliant.
Interesting that they’d make him a good guy in this run, emphasizing his better nature we got glimpses of in MKX, but I speculate that it will be short-lived so enjoy it while it lasts (I think Shao will arise in the post-game and take advantage of a power-vacuum like a MCU after-credit teaser and begin to unify all the “traditional” monsters/villain characters).
Not sure how I feel about his freely swapping his “rare gift” human form, I liked the OG explanation that Saurians could do that, though it becomes harder in the absence of a queen. I wish it was less of a magical swap and more of a grotesque transformation, but I understand how challenging that would be from a gameplay perspective.
All-and-all, I’m pleased with the return of such a unique classic. Not surprised with his inclusion given his due time but very very pleased.
Just like in Armageddon and such: Havik's body is already broken. You're kinda just beating his ahh to demoralize him.

This roster is slowly becoming peak Mortal Kombat again. Glad we're getting a lot of the klassic ninjas back, especially Reptile back in a form I'm most fond of.
They're humanizing the characters a lot, almost as if a movie was in the works /s
