"I Just Called to Say I Love You" is a song written, produced and performed by Stevie Wonder.
The song was first featured in the 1984 comedy The Woman in Red, along with two other songs by Wonder, and scored number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks from October 13 to 27, 1984. It also became his tenth number-one on the R&B chart, and his fourth on the adult contemporary chart; it spent three weeks and top both charts, and for the same weeks as on the Hot 100.The song also became Wonder's only solo UK number-one success, staying at the top for six weeks.
This instrumental version was a request for rattieboy82 :-) Hope he likes it !
The Shadows made a version on their Moonlight Shadow CD but I couldn’t get a backing track in the key of “A” like they used so I played it in the original key of Db and made my own arrangement.

Played on my Alan Brason custom Stratocaster with Kinman FV-HMS pickups on Neck position to give it a softer sound.
Through an Alesis Quadraverb Q2 with EFTP patch 0-36 and into Cubase SX 6 on the computer.

Hi Jorge Good point - these are to quickly help me see how many fret difference there are between the double stops. 0 means they are on the same fret, 1 means they are 1 fret apart, 2 means they are 2 frets apart. When you are playing it fast its easier to look at these than the actual fret positions.

yes- I understand. But being able to play any key is not a big problem for accomplished guitarist like us hahaha ! To turn down a BT 1 or 2 keys is ok- but 4 steps change the sound so you cannot use it. So you made the right decision.

great performances Phil. what amp do you use?
Hi - For my recordings on YT I dont use an amp I take the o/p from the Alesis Q2 directly into cubase on the computer. This does away with using microphones all all the amp noise etc. Cheers Phil
