I’m so glad you’re making these videos about Helpsy! I used to source 50% of my inventory from them and spent a lot of money with them. They are a complete rip off and their customer service is beyond ridiculous. They are definitely scamming their customers. I’m seeing more & more people complaining about them. They’ll be out of business very soon!

Good question! Well - I think its because they rely on people who will order once and never again, and those who believe in second chances. Or fourth like me BUT they dont bank on the "me's" who will fight for a refund. If they are to stick around and be a good company other resellers HAVE to start demanding them to make things right when they send trash or they never will.

😩 I had the same experience with them about 8 months ago. I ordered a men’s winter & j. crew women’s winter box and it was all trash! Not 1 piece I could list. I was so mad that my email was not so nice either. I basically told them that they were scamming people and that it looks like they dumpster dive for the clothes they sale to us! They should be ashamed 😡 They issued me a refund and made me send them back. It took 2 more emails back to them to finally receive the refund once they received the junk back! Ridiculous….NEVER again will I order from them! I’m so sorry you had to go through this too 😢

You were absolutely right to request a refund. You wasted your time and time is so valuable. That’s the most valuable resource. The ONLY boxes I buy from them is branded and even then not all of them. I have had about 85% happiness only buying branded box but u would never buy anything else. I can’t make a choo choo train but I did make it to the end. I’m glad you have a couple things you can use!

I dont do resell boxes, period..I have to touch every single item. That said, the only mens active and outdoor brands I sell 100%...gymshark (weird) vuori, lululemon, patagonia and volcom...others sit and sit and sit...those, sell within days. Oh, and every single pair of finn comfort shoes I find in mens, sell almost day one. yesterday, half day at salvation army, for 40 pieces for less than $70...included a new with tag lululemon poncho..had never seen one in person, was hanging in ladies plus size and the fabric caught my eye... I am so sorry you didnt even get anything to speak of for yourselves..
I’m sorry you got such a terrible box but glad you got your money back. I have never ordered from them but I have watched another UA-camr that orders second hand boxes all the time and they all are great. I was going to eventually order a box from them but now I’m scared because of your experience.

🚂 I am done with them as well. I belong to a FB group for resellers looking to make connections with people offering wholesale inventory. An employee from Helpsy posted about how great they were to work with and that they would love to help us resellers. I went so hard on her with all of the problems I’ve had and that I couldn’t ever recommend them. I’ve never seen her again in that group!
Yeah I am sure they are nice people and my CS experiences, when they answer, have been good as in eventually I get refunds. But still. They KNOW resellers are their number one customer and they are taking advantage.
Helpsy source sells on “Ebay” and “WHAT NOT” they only sell these boxes filled with junk or stuff they cannot sell themselves. I bought 3 different boxes from them every time what I received were super small sizes XS, S ! Not worth it. As someone said it “ They’ll be out of business soon. I’m not usually the one to put in the work to fight it off. I should had emailed them but I don’t like to complain.
Oh man I had no idea they sold on there! Makes more sense now. They get the great secondhand stuff and send us the trash they know good and well they cant sell at all. And ugh!!! They take advantage of those who dont want to cause a fuss and those who are simply too busy to. It isnt right.

After a shabby Banana Republic box of limp and lifeless pieces, I will only buy their nwt/nwot boxes, but even those have issues.... especially dog hair which is so weird...where does that come from?

Yes 1000% - time IS money! But truly I hope a few out there will have the courage to reach out when they get or have already received a terrible box from them. I hate that this happened to you. I’ve only seen one other person do unboxings from Helpsy Source and of course everything in hers always looks fantastic. I did record my other times - linked one at the end of the video. None were good!! I wonder why more don’t share unboxings. I would ever waste your money with secondhand. I’ve seen some OK boxes with their new with tags items but personally the COG is way too high if you have other options.

I don't think you're being unreasonable at all. The whole point of Helpsy is to be a source for resellers to purchase clothing for resale. Had there been only a few damaged items, sure, that would be fine but I'm a little more than halfway through your video and I can't believe the amount of damage you received. It seems that they take advantage of sellers and off load their junk.

This company is basically a Sham when it comes to used items. Especially their “disclaimer” about the flaws. Condition is never even good. I’m sorry it was this bad!! My last box from them was Abercrombie and it was mostly donated!! I don’t know how they are still in business honestly.

I told them I was interested but Paige was a hard sell for me, could they include more of the other brands. Received 28-30 (out of 40) pieces of DAMAGED Paige jeans. No mother. 1 joie item. A hot mess. And they refused to refund me. I wish I would have fought it. Wouldn’t even let me send it back even though I requested to immediately upon receiving. It’s a scam. Don’t know how anyone in good conscience can support them!
I used to love helpsey. I ran my business off 80% their boxes. I REFUSE to purchase from them ever again. I bought bulk from them, had custom orders done, made tons and tons of profit and then boom, one day, out of nowhere, their quality control TANKED. then they added shipping and didnt lower any of their prices. so now everything is flawed, cost of goods increased significantly because, like you, i live in the south, im in SC. Even the first quality boxes arent worth it because of how high they have raised prices while adding shipping on top of it. im sorry your box sucked! I had my fingers crossed for you at first lol!
I wonder if they changed internal ownership again when all the changes happened. All I know is I ordered from them almost immediately when they went from Jomar to Kosei to Helpsy and that first box was used kids shoes and they were horrible :(
Oh that stinks. Long time ago I bought a couple outerwear/coats boxes from them and it was absolutely terrible. So many old, crusty, pilled, stained items. I didn't even come close to making my money back. I ended up donating over 100+ coats. Never again with that company!
Pure Garbage. Thank you for reminding me why I won't by anything used from them anymore. I bought this box late last year - sold one item which was a rare Tom Brady jersey. Everything else - garbage and donated.
This box was atrocious. I will order Helpsy NWT Everlane or Halara all day, but their second hand boxes are a hard pass. I’ve only ordered one. I knew it was risky, and I lost money. Nearly every video I’ve seen on their second hand boxes have been awful, as are the reviews. They’re more expensive than thredup and are supposed to be hand selected, but I have significantly better luck with Thredup rescues. Also I don’t think thredUP advertises as specifically for resellers. It’s insulting that Helpsy advertises these boxes for resellers, uncharges for them compared to other sites, and then sends literal garbage in the name of “saving” these items from the landfill. They’re just passing the buck and charging a premium for it.
@@hausofdezi yeah honestly my experience with them (this and the shoe box video I’ve got coming out) just makes me so so grateful for ThredUP!! they don’t always hit the mark but I’ve NEVER had a box filled with garbage like this one from them. Low end brands - sure - but at least in excellent condition.
@@AmandaPruitt one of my last thredup kids boxes was almost all NWT good brands and they lined the bottom of the box with new in box Posh Peanut and Lou Lou swaddles. I’ve also gotten some blah ones, but I don’t think I’ve ever lost money on them. They definitely don’t always hit the mark, but even their bad boxes are okay enough and sometimes they’re gold. I never expect that from Helpsy secondhand.
Yeah if you watch my TU videos you know I have had some duds but I still dont think I have ever lost money (except maybe on a few fun boxes wayyy back in the day when they were $24) They is no way whatsoever I could recoup $160 on this box. AND can you imagine if I had paid the $50 shipping too?! The four pieces I am listing will MAYBE bring in $30 after fees and shipping.

I had to laugh how bad shape the clothes were in. You could tell 75% of this box had trash clothes who works there and they couldn't tell the holes and stains on them. 😮/🚂
honestly!!! I am concerned for the well being of the person who entered the barcode numbers and put the stickers on these clothes. HAND PICKED. The paints stains and holes and not one, not two, but THREE with incredibly obvious sleeves cut off? Just touching most of the items shows how terrible they are. it just makes me think they hope quiet people will spend their money and not cause a fuss when they get straight up trash which is AWFUL!!

Yeah I bought TWO shoe boxes - terrible!!! I do NOT understand how they can send shoes with legit holes & broken zippers and CUT straps. How is that sellable? I hope you got a refund and if not SEND AN EMAIL! Push the issue. That is theft - straight up. They KNOW resellers buy these items to sell and I get some little flaws but absolutely not ok to send stuff that you cant even wear. I have read they have sent a LOT of refunds for the shoe boxes. Ugh, definitely not sourcing from Helpsy again. I got the American Eagle box on sort of a whim, and it was so bad. Heavily pilled, permanently stained, holes, rips, just literal trash. They said the items met their standards. Almost everything was an XS too. I think there were maybe 5 pairs of leggings I was able to bundle and make like $15. Never, ever again.
Man I literally cant believe how many people have been taken advantage of by this company. Did you send lots of photos and count over the 15% flaw rate? I was prepared to not take no for an answer but they offered a refund so fast. I can only assume they are in hot water with the poor quality they have been sending out.

Yes 1000% - time IS money! But truly I hope a few out there will have the courage to reach out when they get or have already received a terrible box from them. I did record my other times - linked one at the end of the video. None were good!! I wonder why more don’t share unboxings. I would ever waste your money with secondhand. I’ve seen some OK boxes with their new with tags items but personally the COG is way too high if you have other options.

I don't think you're being unreasonable at all. The whole point of Helpsy is to be a source for resellers to purchase clothing for resale. Had there been only a few damaged items, sure, that would be fine but I'm a little more than halfway through your video and I can't believe the amount of damage you received. It seems that they take advantage of sellers and off load their junk.

This company is basically a Sham when it comes to used items. Especially their “disclaimer” about the flaws. Condition is never even good. I’m sorry it was this bad!! My last box from them was Abercrombie and it was mostly donated!! I don’t know how they are still in business honestly.

@@AmandaPruitt they ripped me off. I ordered a custom box from their instagram and it was supposed to be Paige, Mother, Frame, and Joes. I told them I was interested but Paige was a hard sell for me, could they include more of the other brands. Received 28-30 (out of 40) pieces of DAMAGED Paige jeans. No mother. 1 joie item. A hot mess. And they refused to refund me. I wish I would have fought it. Wouldn’t even let me send it back even though I requested to immediately upon receiving. It’s a scam. Don’t know how anyone in good conscience can support them!
I used to love helpsey. I ran my business off 80% their boxes. I REFUSE to purchase from them ever again. I bought bulk from them, had custom orders done, made tons and tons of profit and then boom, one day, out of nowhere, their quality control TANKED. then they added shipping and didnt lower any of their prices. so now everything is flawed, cost of goods increased significantly because, like you, i live in the south, im in SC. Even the first quality boxes arent worth it because of how high they have raised prices while adding shipping on top of it. im sorry your box sucked! I had my fingers crossed for you at first lol!
I wonder if they changed internal ownership again when all the changes happened. All I know is I ordered from them almost immediately when they went from Jomar to Kosei to Helpsy and that first box was used kids shoes and they were horrible :(

Oh that stinks. Long time ago I bought a couple outerwear/coats boxes from them and it was absolutely terrible. So many old, crusty, pilled, stained items. I didn't even come close to making my money back. I ended up donating over 100+ coats. Never again with that company!

This box was atrocious. I will order Helpsy NWT Everlane or Halara all day, but their second hand boxes are a hard pass. I’ve only ordered one. I knew it was risky, and I lost money. Nearly every video I’ve seen on their second hand boxes have been awful, as are the reviews.
They’re more expensive than thredup and are supposed to be hand selected, but I have significantly better luck with Thredup rescues. Also I don’t think thredUP advertises as specifically for resellers. It’s insulting that Helpsy advertises these boxes for resellers, uncharges for them compared to other sites, and then sends literal garbage in the name of “saving” these items from the landfill. They’re just passing the buck and charging a premium for it.
@@hausofdezi yeah honestly my experience with them (this and the shoe box video I’ve got coming out) just makes me so so grateful for ThredUP!! they don’t always hit the mark but I’ve NEVER had a box filled with garbage like this one from them. Low end brands - sure - but at least in excellent condition.
@@AmandaPruitt one of my last thredup kids boxes was almost all NWT good brands and they lined the bottom of the box with new in box Posh Peanut and Lou Lou swaddles. I’ve also gotten some blah ones, but I don’t think I’ve ever lost money on them. They definitely don’t always hit the mark, but even their bad boxes are okay enough and sometimes they’re gold. I never expect that from Helpsy secondhand.
Yeah if you watch my TU videos you know I have had some duds but I still dont think I have ever lost money (except maybe on a few fun boxes wayyy back in the day when they were $24) They is no way whatsoever I could recoup $160 on this box. AND can you imagine if I had paid the $50 shipping too?! The four pieces I am listing will MAYBE bring in $30 after fees and shipping.

I had to laugh how bad shape the clothes were in. You could tell 75% of this box had trash clothes who works there and they couldn't tell the holes and stains on them. 😮/🚂
honestly!!! I am concerned for the well being of the person who entered the barcode numbers and put the stickers on these clothes. HAND PICKED. The paints stains and holes and not one, not two, but THREE with incredibly obvious sleeves cut off? Just touching most of the items shows how terrible they are. it just makes me think they hope quiet people will spend their money and not cause a fuss when they get straight up trash which is AWFUL!!
I don't blame you whatsoever. I'm like you the nicest person you'd ever meet. But cross or take advantage of me or my family and I can get pretty hot. Glad you were able to get your money back in the end.

Yeah I bought TWO shoe boxes - terrible!!! I do NOT understand how they can send shoes with legit holes & broken zippers and CUT straps. How is that sellable? I hope you got a refund and if not SEND AN EMAIL! Push the issue. That is theft - straight up. They KNOW resellers buy these items to sell and I get some little flaws but absolutely not ok to send stuff that you cant even wear. I have read they have sent a LOT of refunds for the shoe boxes. Ugh, definitely not sourcing from Helpsy again. I got the American Eagle box on sort of a whim, and it was so bad. Heavily pilled, permanently stained, holes, rips, just literal trash. They said the items met their standards. Almost everything was an XS too.
I think there were maybe 5 pairs of leggings I was able to bundle and make like $15. Never, ever again.
Man I literally cant believe how many people have been taken advantage of by this company. Did you send lots of photos and count over the 15% flaw rate? I was prepared to not take no for an answer but they offered a refund so fast. I can only assume they are in hot water with the poor quality they have been sending out.
@@AmandaPruittThey refunded me for only 6 pieces, and one of those was for being a men’s item in a women’s box and another was for being the wrong brand. I probably should have pushed it because it was bad. I would be so ashamed to send those items to a buyer and claim they were in “good condition”!
