Mr. Wonderful. I appreciate the fact that you were primarily interested in the look of the dials. You did mention that the A.Lange & Sohne had a digital dial. It would have been great and instructive to non watch geeks to say how the J.P. Journe Resonance has two movements that synchronize over time. Great collection
Hey, Kevin! Glad that you appear very well during this time. I’d just like to say thank you for your optimistic and encouraging response to the first question at the beginning of this video. May this kind of edification become more contagious than any virus!
I don’t understand anything about watches however I love watching your passion for them. I enjoyed watching you choose. Hope you have a WONDERFUL season 12.
Love the watches, I definitely want to see more watch content on your channel. I don’t own any watches but I would say my favorite in your collection is what I believe to be the Audemars Piguet Code 11.59. The dial is incredible especially with the red band... love it.
The question "How can you buy a watch as an investment it you never sell any?" My wife has asked me that question more than once as I have purchased both watches and watch making tools. In fact, I have 13 vintage ww watchmakers lathes. She has also asked why do I need so many guitars when you can only play one at a time. These items may never be sold but they will retain their value, so, if i somehow got to my last dime, I could still eat. Thanks for the video and would love to chat with you some day. I did go to high school in Montreal and my mother was swiss...therefore I would either be in the cheese or watch business.
Can you discuss the emotional impact of having your watches stolen and did you try to recover them? My grandfather’s gold watch, which was promised to me as a little boy as something I would get after I finished college, was stolen when my apartment was ransacked 10 years ago and I still agonize over it sometimes - usually after watching your watch videos. My grandfather died before I was born so it was my only real physical connection to him. How did you get over it when you were robbed?
Thanks for taking us on a tour of your collection. Impressive indeed! Great choices. Enjoy your Summer. Thanks for another entertaining (and educational) video.
Tough decisions never looked so good Kevin. If you don't mind my asking, what brand of pens are those? I'm interested in the fourth pen from the left. Love the blue speckle.
The Ming is a top example that a great watch is not an impossible dream. The Eleganté is a wonderful time machine, it remembers me my Longines Conquest is a quarts too. When i do not wear my Longines, the battery save mode is on. I always like the Octa S. By the popularity of a F.P. Journe, i am too late to get one for a price i can pay. I wil never forget the price of an Eleganté a few years ago and the price at this moment.
I understand that the red band standing out on TV…. I get it. But it takes so much away from what it already is. I would love to you wear the all gold Rolex day date (without the red band) on TV.
A mechanical watch is a piece of art. Hmm 🤔🤔🤔 I bought a Timex watch three years ago and it works perfectly well, even now after 3 years of usage. Timex watches are awesome.
Would have been nice to see a close up of these unique and womderful dials, I did sit through 20 mins of other stuff to get to the promised topic, don't think I'm asking too much.
Obviously Kevin has had much more success in life than me, but somewhat disagree with the 2nd answer. There are certainly times, depending on your boss and org you work for, that you can use an offer as leverage to start a bidding war between the two companies, especially if you are a hardworking employee that constantly delivers the goods. Every situation is different, but I do agree with going in to tell your boss with the attitude you are heading out the door, gives you a bit more confidence and leverage in the decision knowing you've already severed ties in your mind. Be open about it though, you'd be surprised how many times you can negotiate a better benefits package or higher salary by using a new job offer as leverage.
I'm surprised you didn't pick that gold watch on the end (Rolex GMT?) since you don't have a gold dial represented among your picks. Maybe you didn't want a second Rolex, if in fact that was what it was.
I saw you on Teddys show. Kinda sound like a wanna be watch nerd. (ya kinda are, no Diss) BUT this show, you were just being you...and it was a good show....glad I caught it. Collection to die for! FYI....I do the SAME thing with my collection ; )
Can you do an Ask Mr Wonderful about your technology set up? I’d like to know what phones you have / use, what tablets you have / use and what laptops you have / use. I’ve seen many different ones in your videos and would like to know what you have and how you us it. Ie Do you have Multiple phone numbers, what are they for etc?
I had a serendipity moment when you said someone who combined the art and business. Great insight here. Your focus is going off and on is very irritating. Very likely because of the black shirt you are wearing and the changing contrast of the background that caused the camera to hunt for the correct focus point. One easy way is to set the focusing to manual. Since you are not moving about, you just need to manually set the lens to focus at one point and let it stay there. For the second half, get a lens with a large depth of field and f-stop number set to be much higher so that the foreground and mid-ground is sharp and focus and we can see your nice collection of watch with better details. It will be great if you can have close up of the watch faces when you are talking about it instead of letting us see it briefly at the end of the video.
Hello Kevin big fan just need your opinion what do you think of Tudor Black Bay 58 2020 £2300 with original strap and steel bracelet all paperwork and box condition as good as new. What do you think?

As one of those young creatives that has seen the entrepreneurial opportunity stated in this video by Mr.Wonderful. Here is my review of this episode of Ask Mr Wonderful. It was a good show as one has become accustomed to expect. Questions relevant to the desired target market (such as myself) were explored throughout the episode. I imagine that the engagement rate was good (as I watched the entire episode as a repeat viewer of your content). HOWEVER, as a watch enthusiast that aspires to achieving success that allows himself to own a collection one day, I feel as though you should’ve put more of those watch close ups in the last part of the video. Those shots were super clean and really visually explained your interpretations of each watch. I feel adding them would’ve elevated the viewer’s experience when consuming the content. I also feel as though it would’ve held their attention longer aiding engagement. Hopefully you see this and I become a part (albeit small) of your journey to have an impact on this world just as you have on mine. Your content has really helped me on my journey of entrepreneurship and I’d love to share that journey with you some day. It’s been a crazy difficult experience but the reward is so worth it and we are only just over one year in. Thank you for mentoring me and every other young mind watching your content! You are making a difference and I am a testament to that.
