I remember Adam Gray and Matt Greiner being my heroes as a drummer in high school. This is dope. August Burns Red always been around but i didnt think id see Texas in July again.

I've been a huge fan of them both too. Matt and his wife are having their baby, so Adam is filling in for part of the ABR tour. I love how tight they are and how insanely talented they both are even to this day!

I’m more thankful they didn’t go the architects route with the atmospheric and soft sounds that a lot of these bands are doing now days. 00’s metalcore sound will always be peak for me

Hook line and Sinner is a timeless song. The energy it has the entire way through is simply unmatched. This song is a amazing track to debut their comeback with. I hope we get another banger soon. These guys are the GOAT

I literally shed a tear when my friend told me you guys were back. I've said out loud a hundred times over the last 9 years, "I wish Texas In July would come back." Still, to this day, after seeing hundreds of bands, TIJ's set back in 2011 was the greatest set I've ever been in a crowd for. Seeing you guys come back has made my entire life. I always knew you'd be back. There's no way such an incredible band could've dwindled out like that.. They just became an ember that has now burst back into flames, and I'm here for it, all day, ever day. You guys have meant so much in my life. I can't adequately express it enough. Texas In July dill the day I die. Love you guys so much.
Edit: I just gotta add, every single friend I have feels the same. We're all on the same page. We all love Texas In July. One of my very first memories with metalcore was having this guy send me the "Hook, Line, and Sinner" video back in 2008 or 2009. Life-changing stuff right there. Truly, one of the most iconic and one of the most underappreciated metalcore bands to ever exist. Okay, I'll stop gushing now. Just so ridiculously happy to have them back.'
Edit #2: okay, not done gushing. I still have Adam Grey's drumstick hanging on my wall, at least 12 years later. I am out-of-my-mind excited that I might have another chance to see these legends.

What a great day to be alive! These guys and all the other amazing bands of the ''golden era of metalcore'' were part of my whole teenage. See them comeback is amazing!!! Btw, i dont know if it's just for me, or JT Brought some ERRA influence here?
I thought I was listening to an new New Erra song....kind of made me....lose hype....
@@meatshield72 I mean, not totally bro. If you listen to an old song from them called ''cry wolf'' for example, you will see that this new one is very similar. It's simpler than Erra, because Erra has waaay more virtuosis and complexity. I was referring to some kinf of ''modern metal touch'' that ERRA has, like the guitar noises, the ambience, etc .
I think it's more related to two things: First the need of updating TIJ's riffing to modern standards, you can't simply make One Reality in today's landscape it would sound dated as heck. The other reason is that both records have been produced by the guys at Atrium Audio so it's going to have some big similarities.
This is straight up just good ol’ Texas In July. Like they never even left. TIJ is metalcore while Erra is progressive metalcore. Vastly different even though they’re under the same umbrella

Adam Gray, you are sincerely my favorite drummer and my hero. I've looked for you at no less than three ABR concert just to yell ILY ADAM from afar. I still watch all the videos I encountered in high school as TIJ was releasing One Reality and the Self-titled album. You are Picasso with a trap set. You could hit me in the face and I would tattoo the black eye that followed. I appreciate you to no ends and I am so glad to hear your work in my ears again. Thank you, TIJ! Props to JT Cavey, who is twice the vocalist he was when he joined ERRA. Both of these bands mean so much to me, but this track/reunion was a surprise I could not have seen coming. The nostalgia is colossal. Keep it coming! I will buy everything you guys release.
