Orbital Drop - Muv-Luv Alternative Remastered

Another legendary visual novel scene! This one is from Chapter 10 of 2006's Muv-Luv Alternative. Specifically, this is recorded off the newer Remaster on Nintendo Switch. I hope more people get to give the original Muv-Luv Trilogy a chance now that it's on a popular console internationally.
Operation Cherry Blossom commences, aiming to strike at every BETA Hive on Earth. Of the most importance is the Original Hive in Kashgar--where our cast of teen soldiers must succeed or else Operation Trident will occur, nuking most of Eurasia. The safest way into the Original Hive? Orbital Drop.
The final part of this scene is a pretty great example of something that looks very goofy, but actually manages to work its magic if you care about the story. Given that this is in Chapter 10 of a visual novel, you wouldn't get here if you didn't! It actually managed to give me chills, seeing the ships drop through the atmosphere--knowing that the characters managed to survive the Heavy Laser BETA rays. The sacrifices of everyone to protect the Susano-O, from people from all around the world, managed to work. That's powerful storytelling, no matter how goofy it may look.
