Purchased a manual version 5 weeks ago. Have travelled over 6000kms now including towing a 2 Ton high side U haul trailer from Qld to Victoria. It ran brilliantly and fuel economy was outstanding. It represents far better value for money than the Toyota and I suspect it will last a long time. This is one tough, fuel efficient and really well fitted out vehicle. For the price of the Isuzu DMax diesel hi ride you can only get the inefficient petrol low ride Toyota. I don’t think Toyota need to look behind. I think they should look in front because that’s where this vehicle is. And a long way in front. Loved your review.
Thankyou for sharing this video, very informative. 12 months ago I was looking at a new Ute, I look at Ranger, BT-50 , Hilux workmate and Isuzu. The ranger and BT-50 was out of my price range, I sat in the workmate to be honest not much room and not very comfortable for a bigger bloke like me and then I went to Isuzu and sat in one and I was like wow, it was comfortable, a lot of room, the features, it came a reserve camera and all the safety tech for $29,990 I was sold, the value and what you get in the single cab d-max was fantastic, the only extra I got was tow bar acccessory to tow a box trailer and going off your video it will do it no issues, so I look forward to picking mine up on Friday, I getting a manual one, 4x2 single cab
Been driving one since October 2020 (LSM) , loaded up with metal canopy/work body setup, Nice interior, nice ride, comfortable, no faults, enough power etc....but very poor IDAS system that really needs a looking over or some sort of update which a lot of owners are complaining about.
Agreed… Isuzu will sell quite a few of them. Have driven most work horse utes an have put them through their paces too. The Toyota Workmate will stay king for some time to come. Great video, there should be more like this. 👌

Horses for courses good luck.
People rave about how good toyota is, but they cant do fuel effient utes, dont include vents to rear of utes or provide an extra 4 inches in head room
How’s it holding up a year later
@@conortobin1537 ive had mine a year. holding up fine.

Agreed. We found the AEB and forward collision warning too sensitive in our first test drive in 2020 but this latest version has been improved.

..isuzu recently had a stop sale order on these model with 1.9 engines... not sure why though...
ECM limp home issue I believe…
Have this issue been resolved?
@@McNuggs- yes all solved. It was just a software issue relating to one sensor. An update fixed it.
