1. Multiplication is prioritized according to BODMAS
2. One whistle value is 2 because of the pair of whistles value declared as 4 in 3rd line and single whistle in last = 2
(I was confused for a minute about whistles as if it was a 3D whistle).
3. Man doesn't have that 1 whistle around his neck(2) so Man's value is 3 in last line since (5-2)
10+3x2 = 16

For the people not understanding the last question, i didn’t either until i noticed the details.
If you don’t want to read, the answer is 16 because 10+(5-2)•2=16,
((x+(y-z)•z)) (this >[•]< means multiply)
Lets start by saying
X = 2 shoes
Y = Guy with a whistle
Z = whistle (2 whistles would be 2•Z)
Lets start with the first one, x is 2 shoes, we have 3x = 30, meaning 30/3 = 10, so x = 10 (2 shoes)
Then we have x+y+y = 20
We already know x=10 so 2y=10, meaning 10/2 = 5, so y = 5 (guy with a whistle)
Then we have y+2z+2z = 13
Again we already know y=5, so 13-5 = 4z, meaning 4z = 8, meaning 8/4 = 2, so z = 2 (whistle)
Finally we come to the question
x+(y-z)•z, we know all of the values so 10+(5-2)•2, so lets simplify 10+3•2 so 10+6=16 (this >[•]< means multiply)
Now you might be confused why it isn’t 20(like i thought) because it would be x+y•z(10+5•2 then simplified 10+10=20) right? Well no, because when you look close, the last guy doesn’t actually have a whistle around his neck.
we know that a whistle(z) is worth 2 and the guy with a whistle(y) is worth 5, so 5-2=3(y-z=3).
Therefore the answer is 16 because ((10+(5-2)•2))=16, ((x+(y-z)•z))=16
X=10
Y=5
Z=2
Y-Z=3
I see. So I got it wrong because the small details were too small to notice. A math problem where the difficulty comes from non-math related factors... Truly a genius move!
no matter what I was doing, the answer for me was ALWAYS 20 :D why? Because that shit is not a math test but an eyesight test... there's no way in hell I could notice the whistle on a neck of that fucking guy without reading the comments. Last question explanation:
Note that the main is wearing a whistle for 2nd and 3rd rows and the whistles on 2nd and 3rd rows are in pairs.
s= shoes, m=man, w=whistle:
s + s + s = 30 [so s = 10]
s + (m + w) + (m + w) = 20 [so m + w = 5]
(m + w) + 2w + 2w = 13 [so m + 5w = 13][so 4w = 13 - 5 = 8, so w=2]
this means m=3
the man in the last row is not wearing a whistle and the whistle is not in a pair:
m + w * s = 10 + 2 * 3 = 16
So that was the catch, it was the only question i couldn't solve myself during the video, didn't even consider something like this. They certainly left a question that requires extra focus for last just to make it extra hard for anyone to get everything right.
I remember being all flustered like this when I was a teenager. After going through so many relationships, it's now the other way around whenever I feel like flirting and it's fun.

I don't know if this is a sad stereotype or not but I can totally relate to this. When the woman is overwhelmingly beautiful the rational mind is VERY HARD to keep up. Not going along if you have a girlfriend or wife is OK, but trying to solve math? Impossible. I feel like this was a great showing of that effect. It's not like men only care about looks, but great looks are completely unavoidable. I'll try to explain the final sum in as basic a way as I can.
This sum isn't made to test your basic math skills. It's made to test your eye sight and attention to detail.
It's a trick question. You're expected to fail it by missing minor, intentionally vague details.
If you look at it just as a math question, you're going to miss those details and get the sum wrong.
The first bit that might throw you off is that you need to look at the pictures. It matters if there are one or two items in them.
The shoe equals 5. We know that because 3 pairs of 2 shoes are supposed to make 30. 6 x 5 = 30
The men in the second and third row are wearing a whistle. That's the second part in this sum that's supposed to throw you off - and the one that got most people.
10 + ? + ? = 20. From this sum we don't yet know the value of the man or the whistle, just that they make up a total of 5 together, because 10 + 5 + 5 = 20
In the third row we establish the value of the man and the whistle. One man with a whistle, then two more sets of two whistles, for a total of five whistles.
The total amount has to be 13. This can only mean that the man is 3 and the whistle is 2. If the whistle was 1, the man would have to be 8 to make a total of 13.
We already know man and whistle equals 5. Whistle can't be 3 either, because 3 x 5 = 15, while the total third sum should equal 13.
So 5 whistles equal 10. 10 + 3 = 13
In the fourth row we have a few tricky things happening to make up the final sum.

This one is tricky. If you observe closely, each two-whistles pack is 4, so one whistle is 4/2 = 2, so the boy without one whistle is 5-2 = 3.

For the last question, When written mathematically; a shoe=x, the man=y, the whistle=z, and the man with whistle=n, where n=(y+z). From here you can solve the last equation.

"I have phobia towards math" I felt that. I'm horrible at math. Converting recipe quantities in Culinary arts was a hassle for me in college. And now I basically threw myself into hell with going into General business as a second degree.

The first question is nonsensical, but I’m guessing it’s a translation error. If the answer is 4 I’m guessing the question was meant to be “There are 15 horses and cattle…and there are 11 horses. How many cows are there?” Also the last one was 30, not 16.
x + x + x = 30 ⇒ 3x = 30 ⇒ x = 10
x + y + y = 20 ⇒ 10 + 2y = 20 ⇒ 2y = 10 ⇒ y = 5
y + z + z = 13 ⇒ 5 + 2z = 13 ⇒ 2z = 8 ⇒ z = 4
x + y ⋆ z = 10 + 5 ⋆ 4 = 10 + 20 = 30

Very badly written, but the first question is:
15 horses, cattle and sheep;
Horses and cattle, there were 8;
Sheep and cattle, there were 11;
Then, how many cows are there?
It would be easier to understand if they wrote it like this:
There are 15 horses, cattle and sheep;
The horses and sheep add up to 8;
The sheep and cattle add up to 11.
To get the number of cows/cattle, simply add the last two (Horses + 2 Cattle + Sheep = 11 + 8 = 19) and subtract fom the fist one, so Cattle = 19 - 15 = 4.
As fo the last one, it's crazy to me how they got to 16... I tried to change one symbol to get to this 16 answer, and one way is to change the second equation to be x * (y + y) = 20, then x = 10 from teh first one, y = 1 from the second I just created/changed and fom the third we get z = 6, so x + y * z = 16. But as the guy guessed 19 and then 30 after noticing the multiplication symbol, it leads me to believe they just got this "answer" from nother problem or somethiign and ended up mixing up everything.
I found this question much more difficult than the next ones. I even had to do Cramer's rule

For the last question, this is how they got 16.
The whistle on the man is 1/2 of the third line, so the calculation is shoes = 10 for a pair, whistle = 2 each or 4 for a pair, men = 3, men with whistle = 3 (men) + 2 (single whistle) = 5.
The final calculation is 10 for the shoes + 3 for the men * 2 for the single whistle = 16.
That makes no sense, if men = 3 then the 2nd line woulid be incorrect of a shoe + man + man of 10 + 3 + 3 being 16 not 20, each man is worth 5, so solution still doesn't = 16 on the final line for 10 + 5 x 2 for 1 whistle instead of 2,, that would then be 20, not 16. And if you shoe is actually worth 4 then final answer is 30, how they get 16 makes no sense no matter which way I look at it, even trying to reverse engineer the problem, I can't understand how total = 16 unles like you said each man is only 3, but then that would invalidate the 2nd line of the problem.

That's a really dumb math problem, is that what they teach kids there, how do deceive them and make them feel stupid instead of actually teaching them how to solve math problems properly first. First word problem makes 0 sense also, it's missing information needed to solve it and gramically is completely wrong. word problems need to be extremely careful with the write wording. I actually taught math in college, and was very good at solving word problems, but I can't understand how they got first word problem solved, it makes no sense at all. I even gave problem to chat gppt and it also said it's impossible to solve there is missing information. But I guess like always, I am the stupid one and the idiot. The people in this video should have been able to solve these off the top of their head? I doubt that even guy sitting on chair looking at this problem could have seen those tiny whistles on the neck. And all this is going to do it cause people to be discouraged and think they can't do math.
@@htht7831 the only real math problem in this whole video wax #2, I solved it easily knowing how to divide fractions and follow the order of operations. Question # 1 and # 1 is garbage.

S = Shoe
G = Guy
W = Whistle
1. S + S + S = 3*S = 30 => S = 10
2. S + G + G = S + 2*G = 20 | -S or -10
=> 2*G = 10 => G = 5
3. G + W + W = G + 2*W = 13 |-G or -5
=> 2*W = 8 => w = 4
Last equation: S + G*W = 10 + 5*4 = 10 + 20 = 30
=> The answer is 30 not 16
