A lot of folks are turned off about the Gauss Minigun because how much ammo it consumes. They would be surprised how much a Two Shot or Bloodied actually consumes when using this weapon as it has the range of a Gatling Laser with the burst damage of a Gatling Plasma. I've ran various tests and am still waiting for the right roll. So far Ive been able to kill a Mirelurk Queen without any buffs in just 4 seconds, thats pretty insane. Im betting next season this weapon will be Metah with all the changes coming down the pipe.
I just started playing. I’m only level 68. I’m going for the Junkie build but most of this is Greek for me. I like the heavy guns. I just got Excavator armor but don’t want to be reliant on power armor.
Heavy gunner is my main. I like using various weapons as I get bored using one type all the time. I use gatling plasma, gauss mini, flamer (holy fire), 50 cal machine gun.
That why i go with Prime capacitor and standard barrel, highest damage per shot with extra range are better than burn all of your steel and lead for crafting ammo to reach it highest dps, btw i got good roll gauss minigun with bloodie, 25% dwa, 50% durability, another is two-shot, 25% ffr, 50% durability ... but it bugged when u fire too fast like all explosive minigun do

25v is king in terms of DPS. I run a VFFR25V and it helps a ton especially landing vats crit headshots repeatedly.

This gun eats through 3k of bullets in one event lol
Yea it eats bullets very quickly. A fun gun tho.
