I own a 2009 since new. Nothing wrong. I bought the truck when I saw one on the interestate. But what really sold me, Toyota had an example of the FJ working across some severe rocks. As it bounced, push and forced it's way over the rocks and finally reached the road and drove off. The FJ was squeaking and working hard and then quietly drove off down the highway. I bought mine a few days later. Never, not once, have I been disappointed. She is still out there in the driveway and it's now worth more than I paid for it. Go figure.
Bought mine new in 07, didn't like the stance and after a 3 inch lift / leveling kit and larger tires I essentially changed the gearing and lost some power. No worries, after installing the TRD supercharger, I couldn't be happier. I keep it looking showroom fresh no matter what I put it through and I'll never part with this indestructible vehicle. 59K miles on it and I've been offered 44 grand for it, no thanks, there's nothing else out there I'd want, gonna keep it pretty much forever!
I love mine it's 2007 special ordered it new to get the 6 speed Manuel it's 226k miles on it now and new had any issues with mine never been back to dealer to have a thing fixed.... downside is gas mileage and it only takes premium fuel but it's a great suv
@Bladerunner55217 theres plenty of room in the back, i test drove one gf sat in the back to test it out. Said it was comfy with lots of room, and i push my seat back pretty far. I admit theres not alot of windowage but theres tons of headroom and with the slightly elevated position you can see the road easily
In 07 I looked at this and thought it was a plastic POS Now I'm wheelin in a modified 2011. While the plastic is cheap, seats are uncomfortable, poor visibility, this performs OFF ROAD!
love ❤️ my 2011 Desert Sand ,my neighbor offer to buy it from me and offered me $25000K with 100000 mls...i said HELL NO!...im keeping it as long as live.I might buy another one for my daughter if I come across one bc she mine.
Thanks for confirming. I was online looking at the inside and the seats especially front and back look really uncomfortable. They look like my daughters economy Aveo car seats. The back has these little submarine windows I don't think I could ever sit in the back on a long drive.
@djrelic247 you had a 4th gen 4runner, the FJ was meant to take the offroad scene for that generation, so you speak only for that generation, the generations previous to it, and the current were all amazing trail machines and will out do any stock competitor.
@columbuscrewfan20 the highlander is a crossover not an suv, its a camry under neath, the guy who replied to you had a 4th gen with the v8, amazing to drive tons of power, but the least off road designed 4runner, to promote the FJ, the 5th gen (current) 4runner however is another fully fledged offroad toy and will rape any Jeep or competitor on a trail.
Toyota FJ Cruiser. Hits: Force, resistent and solid. Misses: Mileage is ridiculous, visibillity horrible, uncomfortables seats. I prefer Toyota land Cruiser and 4Ruuner 1985-1988
@columbuscrewfan20 maybe you should practice offroad then. many porple on t4r.org do great offroad in their 4th gen v8. at tires are not good for offroad either, a gravel road at the most.
wtf... a highlander are you serious? the 4runner is okay. i had a 4runner with the 4.7L in it.. sucked ass on trails and yes I had AT tires on it and it sucked.

My 2008 FJ has 247k still going strong
Love my automatic 07 FJ.....still going way strong with 105k miles on it.....oh and it's loaded with pretty much every oem accessory installed.

I'd buy it only because it's Toyota and because it has a 6 speed manual

the seats are uncomfortable, the visibility is poor, and the gas mileage is horrible. still pretty fun to drive tho.

@columbuscrewfan20 why?

Triple wipers?? Must be only in the U.S cause the ones I see in Canada have just two wipers.( I'm from Toronto, Ontario Canada)

All lot more money then 24000 it is about 30000
jepp wrangler all dayy
Just curious, how's your jeep holding?
it sucks the 2013 now is at $27k base and the MPG got worse.
Its 2019 and the same 2013 now sells for the same price, USED!
It cheaper than I trought, but I still wouldn't buy it.
Look at it it so ugly n the interior looks cheap for that price I rather get a 4Runner or Highlander. They both look better n cheaper.
you said it had an cheap interior so you would buy 2 cheap cars? thats makes no sense.
