  • Wasn't able to take off work this year for the statewide drill, but I was able to work remotely. Took a quick break to record one of Zionsville's T-128's, a siren that I have apparently never recorded.
Stick around at the end of the video if you'd like to hear the test EAS activation on the radio in my car with the 128 sounding in the background.
This video was recorded on Tuesday March 19th, 2019 during Indiana's statewide drill. Was hoping to be able to hear Indianapolis and Carmel testing, but no such luck. I was able to hear Zionsville's STH's in attack at various points during the test, but I don't know that the microphone picked it up.
This siren was installed in 2014 and was paid for by an adjacent retirement community called Hoosier Village.
Sirens in Boone County are normally tested Monthly on the 3rd Friday at noon. In addition to this siren, Zionsville has 5 brand new 15V2T's, 3 2001's, 2 more T-128s, 1 model 2, and 3 STH-10s. The rest of the county has mostly T-128s although Lebanon is full of 20V2Ts and there are 3 Vortexes in Jamestown.

Nice! Never knew Zionsville has any of these. Nonetheless, sounds plenty loud.
