Im looking to froward bring you guys along with my build and have more builds along the way!
The piston that is clean is the cylinder that had the gasket leak ,the steam from intaking antifreeze cleaned the top of piston.
Im guessing you didnt have the head resurfaced and you just replaced the head gasket 😅 just because you put so I thought...at the end of the video
How did you know you blew a head gasket?
Bro I wish you would’ve showed how you removed all the electrical connections and wires. I’m doing the same job, I’m trying to move all the wires out the way but everytime I move one it connects to another which eventually leads to connecting underneath the vehicle. Did you remove all those connections too?
🫣
That was dope!! I'm not that skilled
Where did you get the head gasket from Im having a hard time finding finding one
That sensor or plug whatever it is right above the oil filter I broke that on mine and I can’t figure out what that is so I can get a new one anyone know?
I'd guess a oil pressure sensor 😅
Would you like to work on my truck same thing with mine
I have the 4.7 but I feel like the fact that you can climb into your engine bay and do the work is so unfair lol.
Pull your fan and radiatior out
“ It’s your boi Ivan “
This the 3.7?
No, it's the 4.7 V8. Everything is exactly the same on the 3.7 V6, though. It's just a little smaller and has 2 fewer cylinders.
@@johningram2153 the 4.7 is a better engine imho
Dude never turned it on or drove it.
man thats a lot of work would of been cheaper and faster just to get a new engine 😆
Yeah with a blown head on it
No it would not have been cheaper, I currently have the same problem. Those engines are pricey af.
I’m debating now new engine or jump in my engine and work
your video did not serve a purpose because you skipped the entire job. but im not suprised because everyone else skipped the entire job on video also. i think all these videos are bullshit. not one person has posted the entire video to prove they did the job or to teach others. but i guess the manufacture of my engine was telling the truth. my engine is very complex and cannot be assembled by human. it can only be done by machine.
I think it's a good video. I definitely want to see the rest of the job, though. He made it sound at the end like he had a problem, and that there would be a Part 2. But there's lots of good information here. The hard part of a gasket replacement is not replacing the gasket. It's GETTING TO the gasket, but removing everything that's in your way: The hood, the radiator, the A/C condensor, the air intake, the throttle body, the fuel rails, the timing cover, the valve cover, the cylinder head, and probably some other stuff I forgot. It's an expensive job for a shop to do because of all the time all that takes. If you are willing to spend the time, then you can do it yourself and save a lot of money. The full gasket kit for both sides, and the timing cover gasket and valve cover gaskets as well, including new head bolts (recommended) all cost less than $150 on Amazon. At a shop this job will cost 10 times that or more: $1500 - $2000. It's not for everybody, but sure is satisfying knowing that the job was done right, because you did it yourself. A good spring break project, if you have the time.
Dumb one you are
Waste of time
Its a pcv vavle
