To be honest, she deserved so much better. There is NO excuse to justify having kept her isolated from her own species for 43 years.

How dare them leave a white tailed dolphin in a filthy tank all by herself. Once the Orca was removed, the dolphin was left alone for a long time. A hero kept calling, so they finally moved her.

I think they killed her off so they couldn't take her out of captivity. Sad to think that she was so close to being rescued into a sanctuary to live out the rest of her days. She deserved better. Poor girl. 😔

Yes! It had to be planned. Think of moving a killer whale in a matter of hours and the university being ready to do a nighttime necropsy.

That doesn't make sense and would paint a bad picture for them
The more likely event is that they saw she was dying and decided to release her to prevent any further negative press and play ignorant. This aquarium needs to be destroyed

@timothyomara6303 yes but Mr. Irsey had already put down 15million, and she was given a brand new filteration system in her and Li'i's teeny tank. I really dont understand any of this...💔

Mom and I used to watch clouds when I was little and point out shapes. Look for fins and tail cloud formations. I saw masses of Orca shaped clouds one morning, clear as day. Maybe its because I Believe therefor I see 🖤🤍

    Thanks for the great footage!
It just blows my mind how long she lived in those same conditions.
I went there around 15-16 years ago and the park looked like it slhad seen better days and my jaw dropped when I saw how small her enclosure was. (Which actually looks smaller in person!)

I was there Sunday and came out on the news. I'm an animal activist and I signed petitions for her release. I simply went to pay my respects because l saw her since I was a kid and use to volunteer at the Seaquarium in 2009. She deserves a Memorial and plaque for all the money she made for the city. Not only was she an icon to Miami, her legacy was beautiful and tragic. I will remember her. Thank you for doing this. I believed she may have not been fit for transport to Puget Sound but they still robbed her of 40 to 45 years of her life span. 😔💔

HOW BLESSED YOU ARE to have known Lolita!! I read about her in 2016- I couldn't handle hearing her story, I prayed, cried for days- then I had to kind of compartmentalize her best of my ability, until her release was finally HAPPENING SOON BY THE BELOVED MR IRSEY ❤ I was telling everyone about it, (that heard about her through me) and how happy it made us. Her health was great, SeaWorld stated- this place needs buried in the rubble. Then a bronze of Lolita, her exact image- w/ waves and fish / coral around her, as she is free now girl- she was PURE so she automatically went to God's Mansions. We cannot comprehend her happiness now. As this joy and peace surpasses human comprehension. That's how I feel today- at Peace with Lolita being free. I love your comment. I can't imagine the loss and I am so sorry. But rest assured, trust me, you will see her again. And I will get to meet her ❤😊 she changed your life. And mine too, she touched us all with love.

  • @MermaidMusings7

Lolita/Tokitae was born into the L pod of the Southern Resident orca population. Her presumed mother is L25 Ocean Sun. She spent 53 years in the world's smallest orca tank. She often sustained injuries from performing in such cramped conditions. She had no shade. She was fed rotting fish. Several Miami Seaquarium dolphins died from lack of proper care. The tank is falling apart. Read the USDA report. That place is terrible.
At least she's finally free. Her ashes will be given to the Lummi Nation and brought home to the Salish Sea. RIP Toki. ❤

Miami Dade is seeking to terminate MSQ’s lease. Praying they get shut down forever! These highly intelligent, magnificent and sentient animals were swimming in circles in their own filth for DECADES. Toki was stolen from her home in Penn Cove at the age of 4 and thrown in this cesspool. It’s so sickening it makes me nauseated. May karma come back on these greedy people. Thank you for posting this! I have several videos on Tokitae on my channel going back 2-3 years.

This should have a million views humans have no idea the cluster fuck this is. We are connected to everything and our actions have consequences even if you think its just an Orca. TEAR THIS HORRIBLE REMINDER DOWN of what this poor poor baby went through. I already visualized what needs done, once SeaWorld is buried here, a bronze sculpture of Lolita needs placed here-- of her with waves and bubbles around her, she us now streamlining the High Seas in the Mansion of Paradise so that is how the statue should be depicted. This is the spot Lolita became FREE not one more day of waking up in captivity, smelling the sea all around her!!! This bronze Lolita will last long after we are all gone. Thousands of years from now, just like ancient ruins- Lolita will be remembered ❤❤❤❤❤❤ I love you Lolita. I prayed and cried for your release. GOD BLESS THE COLTS OWNER MR. IRSEY / HE TRIED
