Backstreet Boys fell short with this song by not including the final verse where they part ways. The girl drives away, and the guy has a flashback to high school and once again feels the pain he felt when they broke up. He then starts walking home in the rain.
that part is why the original song doesn't get Christmas radio airplay anymore. not saying it's right, but all these Karen types would make a big deal if that part played while their 5 year old was in the car. BSB's version is more kid-friendly.
Good singing, but not as great as the original. It's just how they sang it by adding a little too much "flare" when the song was made to be more somber. Not saying they are bad singers. I highly recommend the the Original by Dan Fogelberg.
You should listen to any of the *NSYNC Christmas songs if you wanna actually hear Harmonies and good singing. In fact BSB covered some of the same songs and it's a very huge difference.
You’re trying to compare harmonies from N’SYNC in their early 20’s (prime) to the Backstreet Boys in their 40’s and 50’s when one of the members has a throat disease. Think about that….. What would *NSYNC sound like right now if they made this record….. JT would have to sing the whole song by himself….. like always.
AJ's voice...wow....so much depth and emotion. His soft vocals at the end feel like a warm blanket being wrapped around you.
They're still some of the greatest harmonizers in music. That was awesome.
