My first impression of doom 2099 is that it's fairly similar to Marvel Boy. It's a scaling threat that helps you go wide while also putting massive amounts of power for its energy cost.
Doom99 seem to be a decent, but not overwhelming card - unless you count all the buffing animation replaying each round for each card. They fixed this issue with Kazar, I cannot fathom why this is not the standard by now.
I think Doom 2099 is a superb card to get if you are come out from series 3 not too long ago. It creates a really competitive deck by only this one card. Which is why this card is very popular and now everywhere in meta. For players who are further in series 4 and 5, this is a solid card but i dont think its a must have cause it is a card that limited in one play line, play one card each turn.
Impression of Doom 2099 - Seems like a cool card, but honestly I was beating with 'screwing around' decks that I took to conquest just to do bounties. But, to be fair people are figuring out how to work the card into decks. I'll get it but I always wait til a week or so after to play new cards
The only deck giving my Doom 2099 deck trouble was a good bounce deck. I dominated Hela and High Evolutionary. I had a close match with a Tribunal deck but edged out all 3 lanes. As a bounce fan that is the deck to run against Doom 2099. Because it can hang and occasionally outperform the wide spread.
I got Doom 2099 very recently on my 1st spotlight (luckily, as I only had 1). I love it. It's making me play Ongoing again. I missed Spectrum and Onslaught decks
Doom 2099 seems fun to build around because you can play higher cost/bigger effect cards and still get the benefit of adding two cards to your side. Also it can do some surprising things by adding that last Doombot. Plus it looks cool! It was obviously a good card but I was willing to pass if I didn't get him within two keys. Luckily I got him and so far he does seem pretty damn good.
12:57 Not sure I follow the advice about the web celebration (gold bundle) - how does that help with progression? that mean we can buy credits with the gold we get in the bundle? - noob SNAPer here :)
The way to best optimize your resources to get more cards is to save up your gold to buy gold bundles in the in-game shop that have tokens or high series cards you don't own yet. That's how you use gold to further your progression. If you're not S3 complete yet, gold bundles with credits are good, too. Definitely don't spend your gold for more credits or missions directly, as the bundles always have better value. Hope this helps!
I passed on this card. It looks like a lot of fun, but I can't see how it would be seriously competitive. The card relies on being out early which is going to be a retreat for the opponent if they know their deck can't handle it.
He's cool and creates a new archetype. It's funny seeing people use electro again and glad to see that SD is capable of making new archetypes this late in the game
Lol you are such an east coast guy. Out here on the west car culture reigns supreme. I love hearing what dream cars would be of someone who doesnt like cars. Give me the beauty of a muscle car with the performance and not gas consumption I'll die a happy man. Those auto drive cars make me want to throw up big rectangle coffins
I could tell after playing my first 3 games yesterday, all against Doom 2099, that I was right to play Super Skrull. The rest of my playtime was all Doom 2099, Super Skrulls and clog. Impossible to know how good the deck is until the meta settles down again really. At the moment literally half the games in infinite are teched against Doom 2099.
I love it! Not broken but good, counterable and not oppressive. Also bring a way to play that's often the wrong way to play (1 card a turn). And i hate bounce/swarm type deck so this is my type!
What's my impression of Doom 2099? This morning I've beaten a move deck with a very experimental brew featuring the man of the hour. That's all I've got to say.
Since it was announced Doom 2099 called my attention a lot, from the comics Doom is one of my favourites but the original card is not so much used, Ultron has a little advantage but with 2099 everything seems better, last week I used my keys so maybe I won't open caches for him but, no doubt this Doom will be meta
As a newer player really tempted to go for Doom99,seems like he is almost a self contained deck if u have Doom+a bunch of s3 cards......but the cache is so horrendous this week that I`m probably just gonna skip, which sucks cause I was looking forward to this one. Gonna wait and see till the end of the week maybe ur upcoming videos nudge me into pulling...hell maybe I dodge Miek and Daken 😅
Doom 2099 seems like a fun card to play, but I prefer cards that make decks I already enjoy even better (e.g. scorn in discard, toxin in bounce), as opposed to cards that create their own fairly narrow archetype
Doom 2099 seems absolutely broken to me. I haven't been able to compete with the raw numbers. And almost no control cards are actually good against it. Sera Control doesn't even help (at least since I don't have red guardian). Enchantress doesn't hit enough, Shang-Chi, SK and Cosmo don't help, Valkyrie and Echo don't work either. Super Skrull only works if you're also playing 2099. It's basically uninteractable. Please post more decks that effectively deal with it
First impression of doom 2099 is its hard to tell with all the mirrors, it might settle in an ok place but really needs to draw both dooms to be worth it
Doom 2099 is powerful. Doesn't feel too OP right now, but I'm also seeing tons of mirrors with Skrull too - so it's hard to know right now until everyone stops playing him... I'm enjoying him, though.
Hi guys.Keep up the great vids Glazed. Oh , on Doom 2099... no power creep here...nope.. not ridiculously strong ( if your decks not specifically built to defeat it) ...nope... not forcing me to buy or anything .. to be immediately nerfed for Christmas... or ASAP..nope .. who draws the 2099 first.. who draws the Enchantress, Rogue, or Super Scroll... to counter the counter counter play... none of these things are true... ...😂... I'm sure none one else has noticed this? I am not salty at all.😅
I have a fix for X-Mansion; just don't let it spawn anything bigger than a 3-Cost. It keeps the core of the location without making it quite so swingy. Plus, it's better flavor. Most of the arrivals to X-Mansion are young mutants, and limiting it to lower costs mirrors that. You're welcome, SD.
Would love to play the doom 2099 deck but I have zero keys and too poor to buy gold I need to make up difference between my tokens so looks like I missing out
He is a fun card that takes advantage of doombots being ongoing. I've liked the games that I've played with him but I think Doom 2099 solely works in heavy and slow decks because forces you to play only one card a turn. Anyways, a big pick on the spotlights
I feel that doom 2099 is much like Surtur. He's very powerful on curve however as a late draw he can feel very lack luster and even when you do draw him on curve the doom bots can clog lanes and decrease the value of your OG doom
I think 2099 Doom is pretty great if you can get past the clogging of lanes randomly to get OG Doom off. I think he'll be a great deck archetype to build, but I do think he's overhyped at this point.
Doom 2099 seems powerful but not inevitable. I’ve beaten plenty of Doom players using Junk, but that might change as people get more experienced playing Doom.
I think Doom2099 is good, but over-hyped. My Dracula/Apocalypse puts up more points in 2 lanes. So Doom2099 goes wide, which means you can easily beat it by just going tall in 2 lanes.
I've been playing Malekith Ajax so Doom 2099 has seemed pretty unimpressive, especially with how hard USAgent shuts it down. Speaking of, got a funny game against Tribunal on Onslaught Citadel with then going to -5k due to a combo of USAgent, Iron Man, Sera, and Super Skrull.
Doom decks are very much brain dead easy to play. Akin to Hela decks. There is some interactivity with the deck at least. Doom 2099 needs to be on the field so you risk getting Red Guardian'd and other shenanigans. But yeah, the deck is just super easy to play. You could probably get away with slapping Doom 2099 and OG Doom into any deck that wants to play 1 card per turn and it'll be a cracked deck. And I missed this bundle 12:45, it expired before I even seen the video. Damn, that 3K gold would have been really nice. Could have gone right into today's gold bundle. Lol. Oh well.
Doom 2099 is a fun new archetype. I don't see it right now as a meta breaker, but it opens up a lot of shells for him. We need to find the right one, plus with the weekly card release and everyone running counter, tiring, we don't know its full potential until next week. But yea, fun archetype for those that wanted to playing something new. Doom Ongoing is fun ngl
Doom 2099 is strong. I have been playing a cook with a bunch of 4s including Doom 2099 and Skrull and having my best results ever and hit my highest rank ever. Having Skrull into the mirror rocks.
My impression of 2099 is that he’s like Frigga in that people like him and he’s really powerful face up…but he’s face up…that’s a 1-2 cuber to me; after a few days of people learning it I imagine it’s an easy choice to just leave a game where a hard counter doesn’t exist.
Doom 2099 seems great from watching streams from Alex, Dera etc. Super skrull is such a meta card this week, he won more cubes then anything else from all the games I saw!
Doom 2099 is a great card, but I don't think that he's broken. He's gonna be a "you must be this tall to ride" stick for any meta deck moving forward. Being limited to playing 1 card each turn is meaningful and he's vulnerable to disruption. He plays for all 3 lanes and can easily put up 19-27 power in each, but that's low enough that plenty of other decks are capable of going right over it. I think it's wild that the game is in a place where I can honestly say that a 4/17-26 is fair and balanced, but here we are. I'm very interested to see if he can be a small package with OG Doom and maybe Blarvel that can slot into less dedicated shells. Great card, safe buy, I'd be surprised to see him nerfed worse than losing a point of power on the main body. SD really nailed this one!
I've been playing against doom 2099 and seem to be winning as much as I'm losing so he's not OP but still depends on the deck and locations so we shall see how it goes.
I've been absolutely LOVING Doom 2099! It took me 4 keys... But it was worth it. Even got the new Doom 2099 variant! When he just released, people were retreating outright after just seeing him being played, and it was hilarious. 😂 One of the best cards to be released.
Hey gang? Glazer got the goods on a DAILY basis
2099 is cool. nice to play a new type of deck. opens up cool future possibilities for card synergies as well!
Doom 2099 has interesting complexity in its synergy with actual doom, hope that the card can find a solid footing in the meta!
I have played against doom a few times with Arishem but pre-teched with death strike.
Scary but beatable, but shells are not optimized yet.
The "W doom again" is the same one Tucrr just made a vid about, it doth slap
Impression of Doom 2099 - Seems like a cool card, but honestly I was beating with 'screwing around' decks that I took to conquest just to do bounties. But, to be fair people are figuring out how to work the card into decks. I'll get it but I always wait til a week or so after to play new cards
The only deck giving my Doom 2099 deck trouble was a good bounce deck. I dominated Hela and High Evolutionary. I had a close match with a Tribunal deck but edged out all 3 lanes. I got Doom 2099 very recently on my 1st spotlight (luckily, as I only had 1). I love it. It's making me play Ongoing again. I missed Spectrum and Onslaught decks
I love when a new powerful card comes out and everyone devolves into running clog to just take away opponents ability to play cards at all.
Doom is fun. Having a blast with several decks, including some strange stuff.
Honestly I’m sorta Meh on Doom 2099 because it’s hard to pull it off consistently. And clog and Mill seem to work well
12:57 Not sure I follow the advice about the web celebration (gold bundle) - how does that help with progression? that mean we can buy credits with the gold we get in the bundle? - noob SNAPer here :)
The way to best optimize your resources to get more cards is to save up your gold to buy gold bundles in the in-game shop that have tokens or high series cards you don't own yet. That's how you use gold to further your progression. If you're not S3 complete yet, gold bundles with credits are good, too. Definitely don't spend your gold for more credits or missions directly, as the bundles always have better value. Hope this helps!
@@MyGuidingMoonlight SUPER helpful advice. Thank you!!
I just saw this, glad you got you answers
Really enjoying Doom 2099 so far. Seems pretty strong and fun to play!
I did not see that 3000 gold for 20 bucks bundle in the marvel shop.
Doom 2099 is amazing. He was so satisfying to use. I had a 100% win rate in my first 4 games. I'm loving him 😃
Seems decently strong from the get go. I can see it sticking in/around the meta going forward.
Doom 2099 is here to stay. Definitely looking forward to a new archetype!

Impossible to know how good the deck is until the meta settles down again really. At the moment literally half the games in infinite are teched against Doom 2099.
Doom is pretty clearly warping the meta right now but think when the dust settles he comes in as archetype defining and good but not busted
My 2099 impressions are good so far I like what I see, not overpowered but it’s a strong card that you don’t want snowballing out of control.
For the clog deck, I'm running White Widow instead of Kate Bishop (don't have her) and it's working great. I wouldn't say Bishop a "need." Great deck!
Loving doom 2099. Just ceels good to play.b
Doom 2099 is super OP and crazy broken. I expect an OTA for him soon. I like him a lot. Wonder what SD will nerf on him.
As a newer player really tempted to go for Doom99,seems like he is almost a self contained deck if u have Doom+a bunch of s3 cards......but the cache is so horrendous this week that I`m probably just gonna skip, which sucks cause I was looking forward to this one. Doom2099 seems to be fairly strong, albeit straightforward. I've only caught a little bit of some folks streaming it.
Doom 2099 seems like a fun card to play, but I prefer cards that make decks I already enjoy even better (e.g. scorn in discard, toxin in bounce), as opposed to cards that create their own fairly narrow archetype

I didn’t see that winter bundle for $20. I see one for $20 but for 2k gold bars
I think Doom 2099 is a good card, it definitely takes some getting use to when you play it and clog yourself but i think itll go far in the meta.
Doom 2099 seems great, & there's probably more crafting to come.
In combination with Doom, pop’s the power locations like fireworks!
Ah, Doom Wave. That or Bero was my first meta deck
Doom 2099 is powerful. Doesn't feel too OP right now, but I'm also seeing tons of mirrors with Skrull too - so it's hard to know right now until everyone stops playing him... I'm enjoying him, though.
2099 is a must have for new players
Easy to play and doesn’t require many cards
Selfdrivingcar is really the best car for people who want to use the driving time^^
Hi guys.Keep up the great vids Glazed.

I have 0 keys left, is Doom 2099 worth tokens?
No idea yet
I have a fix for X-Mansion; just don't let it spawn anything bigger than a 3-Cost. It keeps the core of the location without making it quite so swingy. Plus, it's better flavor. Most of the arrivals to X-Mansion are young mutants, and limiting it to lower costs mirrors that. You're welcome, SD.
So is Gwenpool still worth me picking up, or has the game moved on now? I finally have the tokens, and she's pinned.
Would love to play the doom 2099 deck but I have zero keys and too poor to buy gold I need to make up difference between my tokens so looks like I missing out
Love your content. Contained and to the point. Gives well backed advice and solid video formatting. THANK YOU!!!!
X-Mansion Destroyer tho
Doom 2099 is great. Performs well even when against mirrors and counters. This one here is stay.
Seems VERY GOOD so far. I will probably buy with tokens, but waiting until the weekend to make my final decision!
Doom 2099 is a solid threat but very beatable. I think this is going to find a shell that will work with another archetype.
The only thing insane atm is having to wait until end of Q1 for another round of mediocre series drops… 🚮
you dont know if it will be the end of q1 or mid
He is a fun card that takes advantage of doombots being ongoing. I've liked the games that I've played with him but I think Doom 2099 solely works in heavy and slow decks because forces you to play only one card a turn. Anyways, a big pick on the spotlights
2099 is kinda cool card - good against move maybe- good place in meta
I’m with Safety! Doom 2099 is frustrating to play against at the moment.
Doom 2099 looks solid, I'd even say strong, but I find the gameplay a bit boring. I'm not sure if I should try to get him.
Doom 2099 looks fun and OP right now if not directly countered, looks like nerf is incoming in 3...2...1...
Doom 2099 is gd for new players
He is a new core of a deck
I feel that doom 2099 is much like Surtur. He's very powerful on curve however as a late draw he can feel very lack luster and even when you do draw him on curve the doom bots can clog lanes and decrease the value of your OG doom
I think 2099 Doom is pretty great if you can get past the clogging of lanes randomly to get OG Doom off. I think he'll be a great deck archetype to build, but I do think he's overhyped at this point.
Doom 2099 is pretty legit & strong, but feels fair if your deck can afford counters
Doom 2099 doesn’t scare me, but I haven’t picked him up to play with him yet.
not sure to think of doom 2099 right now, the numbers are there but it seems fragile
Doom 2099 is nice but tbh I got it because I thought he was cool, dropped 4 keys which I feel was a bad idea but I don't mind since I play casually
Its a good card, very good card for ranked. Maybe not for conquest but, who plays conquest?
I fought only one person with doom 2099 but it was crazy strong
2099 does not feel overpowered to me. A good addition to the game.

The card is underperforming in top infinite. Untapped stats are lower than expected
what's the direct counter for doom 2099? what an annoying deck
lol should've watched the video until the end, my bad! great video, keep up the sauce mate
Really early impressions is that Doom 2099 needs a lot of Help to be okay, pretty replaceable in most of the decks
Doom 2099 is a fun new archetype. I don't see it right now as a meta breaker, but it opens up a lot of shells for him. We need to find the right one, plus with the weekly card release and everyone running counter, tiring, we don't know its full potential until next week. Doom 2099 is strong. I have been playing a cook with a bunch of 4s including Doom 2099 and Skrull and having my best results ever and hit my highest rank ever. Having Skrull into the mirror rocks.
I don't know if I should open for Doom 2099 without knowing how hard they're going to nerf him
My impression of 2099 is that he’s like Frigga in that people like him and he’s really powerful face up…but he’s face up…that’s a 1-2 cuber to me; after a few days of people learning it I imagine it’s an easy choice to just leave a game where a hard counter doesn’t exist.
Not sure how I feel about doom, I haven’t lost to it yet
2099 is fun when the bots do not turn traitor and clog you . Hard to gage with everyone playing it.
I have been loving Doom 2099 so far, I like playing sim in Ramp and Ongoing
Week 1 : Doom 99 is fine .
Week 2 : Doom 99 is frustrating and busted .
2099 is tier1.5 card but he does require a lot of luck
I thought 2099 would be good but boring but had it played on me and the scaling is impressive
I don’t have Doom 2099 yet but I think that it’s not as good as it’s being made out to be? idk 😅
Doom 2099 is good but I'm still just playing my Ajax deck and it beats it consistently
I don't think Doom 2099 is that great at the moment, but it's hard to tell this early.
Doom 2099 seems great from watching streams from Alex, Dera etc. Super skrull is such a meta card this week, he won more cubes then anything else from all the games I saw!
I think doom is very good, but he doesn’t out power enough decks
i think doom is really strong
Looks like a really solid card. Might make it`s way into more "big boys" decks as a good value card since u mostly play 1 card anyways.
I like having control of my board so Doom is not really my jam. Stupid powerful though so I see why people like it.
nice to see some different doom 2099 decks, especially liked the W one.
One of the best cards to be released.
